I really love area zero and the final boss of area zero. They're so deep and mysterious. They're also sick. Also WE NEED VOICE ACTING FOR POKEMON GAMES!! We got it in Pokemon Masters, why can't we get it here?!
I'm very glad they went that route for Area Zero and the final boss! They didn't hold back on turning that entire climax into a fever dream 😆 I agree. It would be so nice to hear voice acting - particularly for the classes.
Scarlet and Violet definitely had some vibes in their music. Especially everything about Area Zero. But for me, my favorite music in this game is actually the Final Battle against Nemona. She actually proved to be one of the tougher battles in this game IMO.
I'm listening to her champion battle theme more and more and it's really growing on me 😄 Though I think I still prefer the base version. It is definitely a tough and fulfilling battle though!

@@TreeckoBro yeah graphics / textures ain't great in many places, but I was genuinely surprised when I entered area zero, it's kinda beautiful, and it really reminded me of MiA even before I knew there were powerful monsters down in the depths. It's just a great esthetic and easily the most memorable area in the game, even though you spend only a small amount of time there at the end.
I think it's a neat spin on the gym battle theme for sure! My only thing is I feel like I gotta take points off for the plagiarizing of the Galar cheering 😆
My favorite song is definitely the area zero theme. It does an amazing job of selling the atmosphere of making the slow descent to the bottom of the foreign crater.
I won't lie. I think the final boss theme is actually the only song I actually liked. Like don't get me wrong, I love the music in Pokémon but I really only want to hear the final boss theme again.

My favorite tracks have to be the Area Zero themes, all of them, and I did actually like the credits song because of a lot of the same reasons you said- although another close favorite of mine was the gym themes!! It felt like an event I was starring in, and that the whole town could see- and when the cheering happened, I could imagine the entire town/city cheering along too- it was such a fun theme

@@TreeckoBro for the first time ever I used the second evo for a starter, by that I mean Floragato, the whole way through the game since fell in love with the mon when it evolved. Seed bomb hits hard even without set up.
Toby made the *melody* that was used in Area Zero, he composed the Tera Raid theme and the final boss theme and the school theme. However, he didn't make the two Area Zero themes (normal/wild battle). I thought that was worth pointing out, as it shows there is a lot of great talent in the Game Freak composing team. They took some music Toby made, and RAN WITH IT.
One thing I like about Area Zero is it has two battle themes. One for regular and paradox Pokémon. The melody remains the same but paradox battle put a heavier emphasis on the bass to reflect their more destructive and dangerous nature. It's not exactly a well hidden detail, but I do enjoy it nonetheless.
Hmm... That's hard. I can at least say that Hoenn, Alola, and Sinnoh are in the ballpark - where everywhere you go the music is a banger. Sadly, Team Star is pretty low. They're either neck-and-neck with Team Yell as the worst ranking or below them. I just really didn't appreciate the villainous team this time around weren't villainous. They weren't even hooligans. They just existed and you beat them up. There was also no consistency in their character designs to give the group a central theme like the other groups 😔
Give me time on my own and you'll catch me listing to the Ace Academy Tournament and Team Star Grunt themes the most weird take i like Team Star's boss theme but i love the grunt theme even more and the Academy Tournament theme is so jazzy with that Saxaphone and i love jazz so it's a win for me
I do agree that the Team Star Grunt theme is randomly super high quality for like no reason 😆 I sort of wish it was bit more basic for how few and far between the battles are with the grunts

It's kinda sad how none of the people how beat the game on release week were able to experience the full elite 4 theme because of that stupid looping bug

It's true! Gen 9 has those relaxing vibes that gives it a unique flair compared to the other regions 😌 I can't wait to see what they do with Penny honestly. Could be really funny to see her antics get expanded on if she's introduced.
