@@DMC_ARTURS origins and odyssey are legit running on the exact same engine the only difference is abilities and the story and naval combat so if you hate the gameplay of odyssey you by default hate the gameplay of origins
Yamz_MG kid , I’m not gonna argue with you here , AC Odyssey is the worst AC game period (side games don’t count), it has no respect for the lore and it’s community
I know a lot of people here are saying Origins is better than Odyssey... In terms of story, quests and side activities I agree, but in terms of raw gameplay I strongly disagree In Origins, you have the choice of being able to overcome the level of your opponent, making it easier In Odyssey, you cant do this In Origins(pre CotP) there are no world threats that appear when you make questionable decisions as a Medjay In Odyssey, Bounty Hunters come when you kill, loot, steal, enter restricted areas, etc. In Origins, combat is pretty easy to figure out, in fact it took me almost two days of playing to master it. In Odyssey, I'm still finding new ways to defeat my enemies faster and efficiently, also maybe it's because ITS ACTUALLY CHALLENGING In terms of the location, they're a tie for me. Egypt looks like Egypt and Greece looks like Greece(Ik it's not gameplay, but I felt like I should add this) In Odyssey, you can use a ship of your own for pretty much the whole game, the naval isnt as intermediate as BF, but at least it's there In Origins, you get 3 naval missions that you cant replay unless you make a new game(+) In Origins, the arenas offer little to no challenge and are kinda boring to be honest While it's not repayable, Odyssey has a battle royale quest, and its arena is actually challenging and rewarding In Origins, you cant even use a piece of eden period In AC Odyssey, you can use 1 to it's full potential, and another as a weapon reskin, but again, at least it's there In AC origins, you cannot vault over objects like the previous games In Odyssey, try holding b when you attempt to flee from a bounty hunter that is giving you a headache My only complaint about Odysseys combat is that even guards that are the same level as you are damage sponges In conclusion, I like both games, but Odyssey is a way better game for me because it brings more to the table than Origins Ps:I do miss the hidden blade
@@marinelaoana5437 My theory is that further down the road, Odyssey will get the Black Flag treatment. When it first came out, people were shitting on it left and right. Even Unity is getting praise for what it did right as of late, and that game caused Syndicates sales to go down.
Basedbrawler no the story in origin was good until the end game in which they switched to his wife in which many want the story to be a switch on the fly between them like syndicate but instead they finish the game with her which it was very stale to begin with. The gameplay is debatable between the 2 but the combat in both games are way 100x mote better than the predictable combat in the past games.
It depends what you're looking for. I played them back to back simultaneously a couple of days ago and my biggest problem with the game is that they kneecap stealth players to appeal to a wider audience. Firstly, the level design is trash. Buildings are *extremely* low level so you can't even fluidly move around without magically getting spotted, and there are tons of camps were stealth isn't even an option. In Origins most of the buildings support manoeuvring across fluidly and stealth is always an option (even low level areas). Secondly, there are too many mandatory combat NPCs. There are like 10 enemies per area the can't even be killed with a critical assassination (even with your stealth stat & skill bonuses maxed out.) You a guaranteed a detection no matter how strategically you play. In Origins you being able to one shot kill someone was dependant on how much effort you put into the crafting system... on top of that there was only 1 mandatory combat NPC and they were only in high level areas secluded off away from other guards. Third, there are no tools which make stealth even more of a pain. Now I won't lie, sleep dart to win was a problem in Origins, but even outside of sleep darts there was a variety of tools you could use. Poison bodies, smoke bombs, firebombs, berserk poison. In Odyssey we don't have any tools but we a have a ability wheel. There nothing that supports stealth apart from the Rush Assassination and Shadow Of The Nyx abilities and they don't feel rewarding use. Finally, the combat feels gimmicky and cheap. You're right when you say Origins combat system was basic, but Odyssey's feels like a step backwards in comparison. The game is pushing you to use gimmicky abilities rather than strategic combat. You don't feel like you've outsmarted your enemy... It's more who can out gimmick who. The AI being able to armour out of your attacks Is insanely frustrating and one of the silliest design choices I've seen in this game. When you upgrade the Weapons Master perk to its fullest you get a combo damage increase, but what's the point in even having that when the AI armour breaks out of your combos anyway? Throughout my rant I was mainly talking about stealth and that's my preferred play style if I have the chance. The reason I HATE Odyssey so much is because it doesn't support my play style. Even less so than the earlier Assassin's Creed games that didn't even have a crouch button. Odyssey is constantly pushing you to fight and it pisses me of because that's anathema to Assassin's Creed. Sorry about the essay lol. I wasn't trying to tell you you're wrong for like Odyssey more.
ok before you guys start hating on Odyssey and Origins maybe you guys should learn a few things about the games 1.) Origins is about how the Assassins came to be which is set by the main character Bayek. It is set in Egypt in the middle of the 1st century.. In his story, Bayek didn’t battle the Templars themselves. Instead, he fought against The Order of the Ancients, a collection of proto-Templars who would shape the way in which the organisation would operate over the coming centuries. 2.) But while Origins is set on the middle of the 1st century, Odyssey takes place on the Peloponnesian War between Athens and Sparta. That war happened between 431-404 BC, nearly 400 years before the events of Origins, meaning neither the Assassins nor the Templars had officially been formed. 3.) In the Reddit AMA, Dumont says that “AC games are about experiencing a key moment in history, a place and time that were host to major historical events,” rather than telling a story that is inherently about the Assassin Order itself. Despite that, the game will still focus on the overarching lore of the Assassin’s Creed world. Dumont says that “from a lore perspective, we wanted to tell the story of how the First Civ artifacts [otherwise known as Pieces of Eden] created what would become the Templars vs Assassins story, which took place long before the Brotherhood.” One of those is the Spear of Leonidas.. Hope this helps :)))
Man I Loved playing on that game. Every night for about 60 to 120 minutes and got my platinum trophy for it. For all dlc's too ;) nostalgia already kicking in xD
Odyssey is maybe a little bit more fun but this has better story and I don't know if it's just me or does the graphics in Origins look much better? Like lighting looks better in Origins than in Odyssey. The effects are better in Origins too. It's something weird with the lighting which makes it feel like there's no shadows on characters and far-away things. The graphics fits Origins better because It's in Egypt. Deserts and Odyssey is rocky Greece....
@Creeper Craft48 Yeah, Origin's more fun, Odyssey is still fun, but not as fun as Origins. And the graphics are a little bit better for Odyssey (Everything except for the lighting) The lighting makes the game look like a PS3 game!
I love all of the advancements Origins has brought to the AC series, it’s lush landscape and great concept design but I wish the developers stuck with the combat system from AC3. I feel like they nailed it with the fluidity, variability, and overall kickassness. A little more Batman AA/AC ish imo, but in a good way. It hasn’t really hasn’t been rivaled since AC2 maybe. Could be just me.

Honestly, this feels more like the AC, more than Oddysey, which feels like Ryse: The Son of Rome with RPG features and an open world, and less than Unity - there you are THE ASSASSIN. I love it. AC 1 AC 2 (with its episodes) AC Unity AC 3 AC: Origins In these I feel like an Assassin. This is just my way of feeling it. I love the AC universe :) Nice video, thx :)
I think is the best AC of the RPG trilogy. So, i missed the brutal combat/assassination of Valhalla. But otherwhise, the trilogy is completely fun. But, i prefer the AC Origins, i love egypt.
I always love the ''first'' of everything. First avatar, first people on earth. So learning through this game that Bayek and Aya created the Creed is to me really legendary! Currently playing Odyssey but I don't really like that even on easy it's pretty ''stressing'' and the defense is just terrible. Other than that, both games are amazing !
It will be somewhat similar, and most of us will enjoy it.while you and some other hater can cry more, hahaha and go back playing your old shitty repetitive AC.
Origins looks better then Valhalla and Odyssey. I don't know how they done it but this game is the best looking and running of the three on the AnvilNext 2.0 Engine.
I'm no combat historian, but my understanding of the Egyptian military was that they were no good on foot because they kept funneling resources into chariot warfare. That's probably why after the iron age, especially after the naue type 2 sword that allowed multiple hacking directions, they were continually invaded. So, it would've been cool to see these Egyptian sword swings be more clumsy, or maybe non-optimized, like they were used to using the single-edge khopesh and didn't know how to take advantage of a dual-sided sword.
I would like another version of this game where everything takes place in china, where assassins play the role of ancient chinese warrior assassins and stuff during the ancient times.
Tbf odyssey did have to better combat when you dodge correctly and get slow motion feels like such an achievement when you land it and the customization was amazing with making your own builds to suit your own gameplay style and the skills and upgrading equipment made it feel like you came so far from when you first start the games and mythical beast fights were amazing as well
@@H_i_m_o_t_h_y combat felt way to easy tho in Origins the parry system was completely unforgivable and you really have to time your shield attacks right in order to win especially in higher difficulties. in Odyssey it was all button mashing and the parry felt to safe not to mention then spongey enemies already. This game has that but it's completely minimum.
@@ayoo.bruce01 actually it all depends on what type of build you choose that decides how you fight enemies there are many different playstyles that are good for certain players so it all really depends on you and how you play not the game

In terms of story, quests and side activities I agree, but in terms of raw gameplay I strongly disagree
In Origins, you have the choice of being able to overcome the level of your opponent, making it easier
In Odyssey, you cant do this
In Origins(pre CotP) there are no world threats that appear when you make questionable decisions as a Medjay
In Odyssey, Bounty Hunters come when you kill, loot, steal, enter restricted areas, etc.
In Origins, combat is pretty easy to figure out, in fact it took me almost two days of playing to master it.
In Odyssey, I'm still finding new ways to defeat my enemies faster and efficiently, also maybe it's because ITS ACTUALLY CHALLENGING
In terms of the location, they're a tie for me. Egypt looks like Egypt and Greece looks like Greece(Ik it's not gameplay, but I felt like I should add this)
In Odyssey, you can use a ship of your own for pretty much the whole game, the naval isnt as intermediate as BF, but at least it's there
In Origins, you get 3 naval missions that you cant replay unless you make a new game(+)
In Origins, the arenas offer little to no challenge and are kinda boring to be honest
While it's not repayable, Odyssey has a battle royale quest, and its arena is actually challenging and rewarding
In Origins, you cant even use a piece of eden period
In AC Odyssey, you can use 1 to it's full potential, and another as a weapon reskin, but again, at least it's there
In AC origins, you cannot vault over objects like the previous games
In Odyssey, try holding b when you attempt to flee from a bounty hunter that is giving you a headache
My only complaint about Odysseys combat is that even guards that are the same level as you are damage sponges
In conclusion, I like both games, but Odyssey is a way better game for me because it brings more to the table than Origins
Ps:I do miss the hidden blade
Thank u somebody finally understand me
I think that the story of Odyssey is better or at least interesting. Origins was just boring and it had bad side quests
I like assassin's Creed origins then assassin's Creed Odyssey for sure
ok before you guys start hating on Odyssey and Origins maybe you guys should learn a few things about the games
1.) Origins is about how the Assassins came to be which is set by the main character Bayek.
If the spartan kick was in origins it would be my all time favorite game
It doesn't need any kicks at all
Sheild bash!!

Assassin's Creed Origins the best AC ever made
bayek was truly ahead of his time , uses a weapon not invented yet
I love all of the advancements Origins has brought to the AC series, it’s lush landscape and great concept design but I wish the developers stuck with the combat system from AC3. I feel like they nailed it with the fluidity, variability, and overall kickassness. A little more Batman AA/AC ish imo, but in a good way. It hasn’t really hasn’t been rivaled since AC2 maybe. Could be just me.
How did Odyssey get nominated for Game of the Year yet Origins didn't and it was a better game than Odyssey?! 🙄😕😠
It was nominated i think...
It won best of e3
@El rey jiren no it isn't.
Bro, it was nominated for like 31 awards, won two of them - Best PS4 game and Best Visual Effects.
@@GodsAssassin yes it is lmao
*Bayek gets a Katana*
Assasins Creed: Ghost of TsuSiwa
Bro this Game is just beautiful
4:24 love when assassins wear white, red and black outfits
This outfit is in Valhalla too
Honestly, this feels more like the AC, more than Oddysey, which feels like Ryse: The Son of Rome with RPG features and an open world, and less than Unity - there you are THE ASSASSIN. I love it.
AC 1
AC 2 (with its episodes)
AC Unity
AC 3
AC: Origins
In these I feel like an Assassin.
This is just my way of feeling it.
I love the AC universe :)
Nice video, thx :)
The gameplay was definitely different but atleast you actually play as an assassin in this game unlike Odyssey
This AC is a master piece
Odyssey and origins are both amazing
I don’t give a fuck what anyone says, both this and odyssey are fucking masterpieces
I think is the best AC of the RPG trilogy. So, i missed the brutal combat/assassination of Valhalla. But otherwhise, the trilogy is completely fun. But, i prefer the AC Origins, i love egypt.
I have the power of Amun and anime by my side, _REEEEEEEE_
I always love the ''first'' of everything.
First avatar, first people on earth.
So learning through this game that Bayek and Aya created the Creed is to me really legendary!
Currently playing Odyssey but I don't really like that even on easy it's pretty ''stressing'' and the defense is just terrible.
Other than that, both games are amazing !
If the combat in Valhalla looks like this or odyssey... I’m walkin away
It will be somewhat similar, and most of us will enjoy it.while you and some other hater can cry more, hahaha and go back playing your old shitty repetitive AC.
@Hoyt Volker You too, EUCHH..
You're not alone my friend. If Valhalla is like this thing or that Odyssey garbage, i'm out aswell.
Combat was so good in origins not odyssey before origins was too easy Valhallas combat should be like origins with a shield but more brutal
@Hoyt Volker don’t mind the fool
This is better than odyssey and valhalla combined.
Origins looks better then Valhalla and Odyssey. I don't know how they done it but this game is the best looking and running of the three on the AnvilNext 2.0 Engine.
I’m loving Valhalla right now
Me: please make AC Rising Sun (Japan)
Ubisoft:
Me: *waits for announcement* Anytime now.
When I woke up today I tried to remember if there ever was a katana in AC games and this pops up in my recommended, freaky.
There is a Katana in Unity too
Dont forget Rogue as well
Alexios doesn't hold a candle to bayek. As soon as you jump into a haystack he can't even hide in it.
Well kassandra is the cannon character in the odyssey timeline so playing as her felt better and her voice acting was way more better than alexios
@@H_i_m_o_t_h_y yeah kassandra I prefer in odyssey

Ezio and Bayek have the best voice actors in the whole franchise
I'm no combat historian, but my understanding of the Egyptian military was that they were no good on foot because they kept funneling resources into chariot warfare. That's probably why after the iron age, especially after the naue type 2 sword that allowed multiple hacking directions, they were continually invaded.
So, it would've been cool to see these Egyptian sword swings be more clumsy, or maybe non-optimized, like they were used to using the single-edge khopesh and didn't know how to take advantage of a dual-sided sword.
the only thing i wish origins had was the cultists from odyssey. idk y but their concept was really cool to me. also how do u get the katana?
This is one of my favorite ps4 games next to uncharted 4.
Yanrenm_Drake is this only on PlayStation?
Yanrenm_Drake but assassin's creed never were a exclusive are you crazy???
Jymehendrix no,have in xbox one too, assassin's creed never were a exclusive,I think this guy is wearing drugs

I would like another version of this game where everything takes place in china, where assassins play the role of ancient chinese warrior assassins and stuff during the ancient times.
Japan would be better I think. More/better warriors
@@thisguy7976 Japan would be great but chinese stuff involves Kung Fu and lots of acrobatic , and coolest stunts

The combat was fun af. I mean, connor is badass
Thank you DKgames
no problem ;)
The best AC game. The music is sooooo good
Odyssey was a huge downgrade in gameplay. Origins just had more polish and felt so much more complete
I feel homesick for the game
Origins combat is better than both odyssey and valhalla
My 3 favorite Assassin's Creed games
1. Black Flag
2. Origins
3. AC 2
I loved the scenery! But I swear the way bayek moved during combat looks like he was the originator of the moonwalk as he slides his feet around 😂 and on a side note did that dude at 5:55 get shot in the head or neck with an arrow just get up and go away like nothing happened? Lol
