Loved this ❤ thanks for doing the tag and I loved your own question at the end. Noir de Noir is for sure you and you are just fab, I love your kind Jon-ness with other people's opinions and loves. You are really encouraging to people just starting off and that is truly lovely ❤
Thank you 😊 well not really my only advice is for them to just be them and to enjoy it. It might not get them 20000 (bought) followers on Insta and free bottles but they will be people I alwsys support 😊. Yes there's no point us doing this if we aren't true to our loves and we politely say what we don't love. You're welcome, always my pleasure 😊
Pink hot pants & cowboy boots? Thank god there’s that!😂 🎉 …Googled “Forgotten Highway NZ” and was surprised to learn it’s actually a true highway! Will be saving up to get that lovely sounding frag …my FIL now finds himself living with dementia & I want that for my hubs❤ Enjoyed every step🥾☺️👏👏👏
Thank you. And yes it's such a hard thing for everyone involved isn't it, heartbreaking really. Yes the fragrance is beautifully done, that classic feel with all the modern and new Zealand touches to it. I think for us especially scent is something that is so heavily attached to memories too
Such a great way to get to know more about you, Jon! One leg should have made an appearance in pink..Awesome. Noir de Noir is a beauty. It's either a Love or a Nahh.
Ah yes, the good old detached English wit and sarcasm... Totally agree with you on many of your opinions. 🙂 Btw, I just sampled my first Amouage ever today. Memoir is gorgeous. 😍 Can't wait to do a full wear on a cooler autumn day.
Yes transparency is the important part! 👍🏻✨ My son taught me a lot about how you have to reference every single thing you talk about in a paper when he was in uni… I didn’t go to university but I get why you’d have to do that! ‘You gutter rat’!! 🤣🤣 you have me cracking up!! 😆😂
🤣 🤣 🤣 I think people think I think that about BDK lovers 🤣 I really don't 😉. Yes it's a habit that really stays with you and becomes very second nature. The consequences are really severe if you don't and rightly so. Yes you're always very transparent 😊
Awkward and contrary are my middle and last names. 😂 I appreciate the way you handled these questions that are mostly intended to boost likes or followers (which perfume does your partner like on you… sex appeal question for the Demi types, who influences you the most… influencer name drop here, what brand do you want to receive PR from… 🤮). A very good rant was your rousing defense of indie-niche brands like One Way Bridge. I buy big brand perfumes but who needs to hear more about them? You’re spot on that they lack innovation, are perfumes created purely from marketing-sales rather than the heart and don’t need more attention sent their way. I’d like to see a list of questions more like your last one - what keeps you here? Much more interesting and inspires conversation. 👌🏼
Made my own list of questions just for fun: First perfume ever bought Most recent fb of perfume (30 ml +) bought and have you worn it since Which perfume /brand / material do you wish you’d tried earlier Perfume of shame Last 3 samples worn on skin not test paper and any you’d purchase a fb? Favorite synthetic / molecule Favorite natural material Which perfume changed your stubbornly held opinion about something Opinion on longevity/ projection and which do you prefer List 3 perfumers you like/know of that you can recite without looking up their names Favorite perfume to lift your spirit on a bad day
Yea... They do tend to get quite repetitive at times. And 🤣 I was taken aback with that question, do people have lists of PR they want? I'm clearly never gonna be an "influencer". Yes 😊 Indie is the real future of perfumery. The Tulip Economics is gonna bring the mainstream perfume industry down. They have stepped over the line of sanity now, killing quality, creativity and insane price increases... The general public ain't stupid. And thank you i always add my own 😜
@jackiejlw5493 love this Jackie. I don't much like the questions for this tag, and agree totally on your opinion. Absolutely love your more enquiring questions on perfume itself. hopefully would love to get time to answer them in a video if that's okay xxx
Hi Jon, this is really enjoyable and lovely to hear more about you. And this time I saw your shadow, so that's something. About fragrance, is there any going back regarding modern formulations? I was reading briefly about vanilla and the search to match the scent profile of vanilla, comparing natural vanillas to formulated versions. There was a graph of the various vanillas compared, and it was interesting to use a visual representation. It a company out of the UK I believe. Because, you know, climate change ☹ as well as chocolate 😩 and also, fixatives being regulated. Is your Instagram name the same as here? (maybe it's private 🤐sorry!). I'm afraid if I follow fragrance people, I'll be bombarded by perfume ads. I try to sheild my fragile psyche from too much influencer/marketing 😂 Autumn is here, goodbye Summer 😭hopefully my SAD (seasonal depression) will be gentle w me. Ok, bye! 🌿PS, the trends are really something. There's 10 million gourmands/candy fragrances in the US at the moment. More power to the people who love it, but sometimes it's a bit much if I'm feeling off, you know, and smelling jelly donuts 🤣😩
Erm yes the old formulations are gone forever aren't they. I suspect IFRA, climate change and many other factors are part of it but I think everyone knows the main thing is they refuse to spend the money, like everything at the moment they're purely driven to extract as much profit as possible. We are a genius species if the will is there we can grow these ingredients in other places and that. Yes my insta is the same 😊 And yes the trends destroy everything. I like a bar of chocolate if I eat ten at once I don't enjoy it and don't wanna eat it for weeks. So why don't they get this? Why are they scared to be different to everything that's out there? Ah modern times are dull
@@scentedsnowdrops the plan is to make milder milk chocolates. And charge the same price.
