Very intelligent conversation indeed. It is impossible to seperate the class war from what is taking place world wide right now which includes the criminal situation created by Israel against Palestinians, be in Gaza or the West Bank, going all the way down to Syria, Irak, Lebanon, Iran and so forth and so on. We have an exploitive system world wide where the majority is sacrificed for the private interest of a minority known under the name of oligarchs and plutocrats amongst other names. All this is possible only because we have the absolute right of private property on the means of production and distribution in place allowing accumulation of the power of money in the hands of a few who rules the world through it. Abolition of private property and what goes with it which is corporations and various organisations holding executive power including the financial institutions in private hands corrupting all sectors of economical life as well as the judicial structures. The need for a social revolution has never been so urgent, this needs knowledge organisation and agitation amongst the masses. We are right now in a pre revolutionary situation, the modern communication networks helps accelerate these three criteria for a social revolution, every contribution counts, the shows with Rania is one of them, most useful in term of knowledge.

Capitalism works on the commodification of anything of value to someone else. That’s why money is paid to people who ‘donate’ their blood. If there was a market for spittle, some capitalist would be trying to sell it; but money is a commodity and banks make money by lending money to be paid back with interest. That’s the primary way for banks to be profitable. Banks create money out of thin air by making loans and writing the interest payments into their balance sheets as new money. The principal that gets paid is destroyed from circulation and the money supply is either increased or decreased according to the interest on the books.
This is the reason that slavery was so profitable. The selling of slaves as a commodity kept the cost of production equal to the initial price of the slave labor plus the cost of food and water. Having a male and a female that would produce a child increased the size of the workforce and its value. They were expendable but were purchased only after a rigorous inspection of their health conditions. Nevertheless, if they got sick, they were on their own.
In ancient Egypt, they were sometimes used as mortar between the stones of the pyramids. The contemporary version is defined in terms of ‘right-to-work’ laws designed to undermine unions. Before there were any unions, the corporations built little apartments for the workers who paid to rent the apartments which went back to the company. The company also built and operated what was known as the company store where workers would buy their food and clothes and other necessities; the proceeds from which went back to the company. This all took place on a fenced compound, supposedly to keep the undeserving out, but it was really to keep tabs on the workers. If today’s ‘entrepreneurs’ could get away with owning their own slaves, don’t think for a moment that they wouldn’t jump on it..

Professor Kadri has strong points. But he cannot articulate a direct answer to any of Rania's questions. He reminds me of Zhizhek in that regard. How many seconds into his monologue do you think he forgets the question?

5:25 Kadri doesn’t just believe that people are part of nature. In his book, he assumes that people are nature, and speaks as if the wasting of the bodies of workers is perfectly identical with what he refers to here as the wasting of nature.
This leads to him focusing on the latter as if it represents the former well, when it does not. Yes, people are part of nature, and we live in the earth.
But there are many ways to harm people, whether it’s the destruction of nature we rely on or the direct sacrifice of proletarian lives in tragedies avoidable if not for the search for profit, or the destruction of the lives of the masses who resist against this horrible destruction. These are not wars with their own ends, they are wars to destroy the masses and their resistance. They are driven by this, which is the basis of the present rise of fascism and other reactionary forces.
They are not simply driven by the “accumulation of waste”, but by their opposition to humanity and above all to the oppressed nations and proletariat who resist imperialism. These are wars with a cause, they are imperialist and fascist wars.
