I’d like to see the original designs but Mattel sending a cease and desist order is funny considering I think the owners of Conan tried to do the same thing to them
Really wish that these had Origins articulation and that the Jack Kirby style figures weren’t BAFs. Would love to get that divine armor from wave 2 pre ordered but I don’t wanna pay $200+ just for that.
Damn man these are actually really cool. I might have to check these out. It would be nice to have something new. Getting kind of tired of the same old stuff at the stores
Funny you say that, they had a first design that looked even more so like the original He-Man prototypes. They were also being worked on with Mark Taylor one of the creators of He-Man, sadly he passed away and everything changed some
@@flashgordo9485C’mon Man, you ain’t fooling no one, don’t be a flake! lol “I don’t buy online” hahaha do you want them hand delivered by the creators too?! I wanted more articulation like my Origins figures, but the details on these sculptures makes up for it. I’m definitely getting the set on BBTS, probably skipping the early bird, the castle doesn’t do much for me.
What ever happen to ONiTOR'S Mace? It had pink on the side and that made his weapon look more cool with that color on his mace plus darkish pink. I saw that on BBTS web site and on some of ONiTOR'S pic has the pink.
Very good. They are nice and sturdy. The only flaw are the female hands, which are separate pieces from the rest of the arm (glued in place) but do not turn (unlike the male characters, which do have wrist rotation). I don't know why they didn't just mold the female arms and hands together.
You gotta remember it’s a smaller toy company and fewer figures were made than the average Origins figure. Still, for around $32 they hit it out of the ball park. Those colors and designs are great. Specially the gold color!
These look good but the lack of articulation will no doubt frustrate me now I’ve got used to Origins😂 I have Plantera and Ka-Rem on order as they look the most interesting (maybe the Red demon guy too). I think the main hero and villain look too bland / basic IMO
They lack articulation but the details are better than most Origins figures. The paint applications is perfect, that’s what frustrates me about Origins, you gotta go thru a few to find something painted decent.
Compared to the vintage MOTU, the articulation is a little bit lacking. The wrist and boots joints are cool, but the hips are just swivels. Not good at all, and almost impossible to get them into a seated position, especially the female figures. There is no way that Pantera or Yondara will be able to ride on a creature, as they do not fit on Battle Cat or Panthor. Even the Realm of the Underworld figures have better articulation.
Yea , I would have a hard time opening those . Those are actually cool ! Like the panthor chick or what ever she is called lol . Heck they are all fantastic ! Great addition to your collection !! Fantastic sharing amigo !!
It’s a smaller toy company, I don’t know how many were made but I’m sure it’s a smaller quantity than the average Origins figure. Sort of artisan made, specially when how solid they’re made and the paint application and quality is amazing. MadHatter was trying to get a figure done, and he was saying something like $45-50. IMO these figures are very well priced. Origins are now $20.99, and they don’t seem to be that solid specially with the paint applications.
Yeah I do see where you're coming from, $35 for a limited articulated figure is a lil much. But also what SunnyDiegoProduction said is all true too. These lower quantity items from smaller companies have to have a lil higher price point. They are really well made and solid figures I will give them that. And won't call you goofy, my spending habits on toys is just crazy 😅
Yeah all true man. Gotta roll with the facts of how things are. I don't mind paying some extra once in awhile to help out some of these smaller companies. They're just trying to put out what people might like
Yeah I didn't realize til later on my math was off on how much each figure came out to, you are right the no articulation sucks too. Wasn't til later talking to a friend I was like oh shit I did pay 30+ for each figure. But too late for me now I guess lol
They may have less articulation but they got more details than any Origins figure. Paint applications are flawless, Origins are always sloppy. Plus, I think there’s only 3-5K of these figures out there. Any Origins figure I’d say there’s a minimum of 20K. Btw they have a 7 figure set for $189.99 which comes out to $27.14 each. These figures are a steal! Too bad people are so negative about them, because they kick Origins arse any day! Even without the articulation lol
The production runs are a lot lower, and they are made by a smaller company. If Mattel were not selling MOTU retail, and only produced around 5000 or less of each figure, they would double in price. The limited articulation of the LoD figures is intentional, as Formo wants these toys to fit in with the vintage MOTU and be more durable.
I’d like to see the original designs but Mattel sending a cease and desist order is funny considering I think the owners of Conan tried to do the same thing to them
I know right, is a real shame cause the first designs were cool as hell too
Really wish that these had Origins articulation and that the Jack Kirby style figures weren’t BAFs. Would love to get that divine armor from wave 2 pre ordered but I don’t wanna pay $200+ just for that.
Yeah I'm holding back on the second wave for now. Just a lot of money when there's so much other stuff I want right now
Cool like the chick with the golden feather head dress And the translucen't Genie.
Yes I'm so glad I ended up getting these, thanks for checking out man 🤘
FIRST!!!!!
I need to get these guys, especially that translucent blue genie. I'm a sucker for translucent figures.
Yeah he's pretty cool, someone else we know likes the translucent and asked me to do that light shining thru it 😝
Damn man these are actually really cool. I might have to check these out. It would be nice to have something new. Getting kind of tired of the same old stuff at the stores
They're just starting to show wave 2 now too
Wait... What the heck are these? and why do they Look like they were made by the creators of He-Man Toys???
Funny you say that, they had a first design that looked even more so like the original He-Man prototypes. They were also being worked on with Mark Taylor one of the creators of He-Man, sadly he passed away and everything changed some
These would go good with the super7 5.5 He-Man figures
Yeah I have a couple of those I never opened. If I do they'll probably be all sitting on a shelf together lol
i have them
Too awesome to be real. They need to be sold in retail. The proud creators will make serious bank off of these.
I wish it was that easy ;) We'd love to sell at retail, but it needs a lot of resources and completely different strategy etc.
Yeah they are really cool. They got another wave of them coming they've showed off already
I'm not much for making purchases online. Do you sell at conventions?
Umm correction. Do they sell at conventions?

the red guy looks india the country like in design, and the grey guy could be used as a Solomon Grundy figure
Oh yeah total Grundy looking. I would have never thought of that if you didn't point it out lol

Oh idk on that, I'm gonna have to go look and see if I can find some pics of that
That’s literally just a reflection from a light in the photo shoot. It’s only in one shot.
Are parts compatible with origins
No body parts don't swap. Armor does for the most part. Done some cool looks with them
How’s the plastic quality?
Seems nice and solid, got a lil weight to them

quality made i have them
Wow nice looking figure 😊
Yeah I really like them 😊
Im impressed with the line I want these but I will buy them singly cheaper idk lol I like them
Yeah I didn't wanna spend that at first but I'm glad I did now. They're really cool to have

Yeah articulation on these like origins has would have made them a ton times cooler. Really wish they had that too

This Barbaro, has better legs ,than the originals MotU!
Yeah these are really some solid figures. Love how they turned out
Wann und wo kommen die raus?
I got these from Big Bad Toy Store. They were shown about a year ago but just getting to people now
Cannot wait to get mine - sitting in my POL still. Great video.

@@cobweb6960 hah don't worry about it
Todas las siete figuras están increíbles muy chidas. Excelente colección.
Thank you so much 🙏
Call me a goofy goober, but I don't get how these things are 35 bucks a pop.

They look fantastic but the lack of articulation kills them for me.
Yes o wish they had more myself, that would have took them to that next step
Their more savage world than motu.
The biggest problem are the hip joints.
How is almost $35 a figure a "pretty reasonable price"? They have less articulation than MOTU Origins.
Yeah I didn't realize til later on my math was off on how much each figure came out to, you are right the no articulation sucks too. Wasn't til later talking to a friend I was like oh shit I did pay 30+ for each figure. But too late for me now I guess lol
