We all have something to fight for, even when it seems like we dont we either make a reason for ourselves until it is the right one or search within for the reason like Yusuke did
Driving is actually quite easy, it's anticipating what the other asshats are going to do and trying to react to them in a timely manner whenever it's something re**rded that's difficult.
Yusuke was an outcast his whole life. He didn’t fit in at school, didn’t belong in the Living World, even Demon World didn’t feel right for him. Everywhere he turned, it was like, "What the hell am I even supposed to be?" Street punk, Spirit Detective, Dark Tournament Champion, Demon King, it didn’t matter. None of it felt like him. And Keiko? He loved her, wanted to be with her, but how could he face her when he didn’t even know who he was? How do you give someone what they deserve when you’re lost in your own head? But then... something clicked for him. It wasn’t the world he needed to fit into. It wasn’t about picking some label or title. It was about the people around him. His friends, his allies, his family. That’s where he belonged. That’s who he was fighting for, not because he was angry at the world anymore, but because he cared. That’s what grounded him.
Life is hard. It got very much easier when I found like-minded friends and Christ helped affirm a sense of justice in my life. I know it's not for everyone.
Not too sure tbh. Sure we can control our actions and have free will (like I couldn't show up to work tmrw)but there are limits based on our biology and influences from our environment. We decide whether or not to do most things based on consequences set by others or nature. Is life truly free if we don't have a choice on how it starts? Can't choose where you're born or who you are born from. It's like telling me to finish writing a book when someone wrote the first chapter and decided the genre. Sure I can decide how it ends but there's limits set so I can't make the story entirely different or it won't work
@DaVoid-fd8md as cliche as it sounds sometimes life and free will truly is just doing your best with the hand you've been given and how you choose to play is what defines your choices and yourself. Just unfortunate it's abit shit of a game these days. At least thats my interpretation.
Depends on a slave, roman slaves were very expensive so owners treated them like part of family household. They ate what the owners ate, slept in their house etc. Other slaves were beaten the hell out of them physically so they couldn't sleep and ate 3 potatoes a day.

seems your viewpoint is one of hyper determinism or something to that effect?

Crazy your mum treated you like that
Pretty much the standard black mum experience
Sorry, but many slaves in history had much better conditions than the modern wagie.
