Stav I absolutely love my 2013 civic have done 20k in it in a year and it's probably the best designed overall package I've ever had in 30 years driving, zero faults as well.
Yes you can- there's a small rotary switch on a stalk that protrudes just to the right of the instrument binnacle. There is also a degree of auto dimming when you switch the sidelights on. I've not noticed any screen reflection TBH.
Agree with most of your observations. Spot on mate. I would add: Annoyingly mixed up steering wheel control buttons and a full colour display which is.... blue. Shades of BLUE. Why? Where's the red, the green, the yellow, indigo and hues thereof? Nah, blue. Would I have this car again. 100% yes, but it could be a bit quicker but at 63mpg I am NOT complaining!
I'd agree that the zircon controls are fiddly. But there's no eating into the space above where the oversized audio controls live. That's because, behind it sits a double DIN space- into which slots the sat navigation/audio screen on posher models.
Anyone had problems with the boot open warning light and alarm mine keeps flashing on and off saying it’s open when in fact it’s closed. Can’t lock doors either, have to do it manually
after buying my first decent car, a manual 07 BMW E92, i came to realize that no matter what car you drive, it will always have little annoying things here and there. But overall, I LOVE my car! love your vids man!
Hi when u talk about the newer model are u on about the facelift model as in the 2015 or the 10th generation model as in 2017. Also wot do u think off the 1.0 engine civic? Also heard that it is timing belt as apposed to the chain in the 1.5. On another note what about the toyota CHR any chance u getting yur hands on 1 to review it. Thanks in advance keep up the good work.
Did you prefer your previous Honda Civic (FN2 Type-r) driving position over the FK3's one? Did it suit you better? How tall are you? :) Thanks for your videos, I really like them, keep it up the great work!
wody21 The only thing I preferred in my old Type R were the seats, the driving position itself is pretty much the same as the FK3 which is let’s face it a heavily re-worked previous generation. I’m 6’2” and would like the seats to have had more lower adjustment. A lot of these issues thank goodness have been rectified on the 9th generation Civic
My last car was a 1.2 seat ibiza I did 20.000 miles in it the motor was a 12 audi turbo unit great power and mpg petrol 50 mpg..I upgraded to my 11 plate 1.8 civic it has faults like no wash wipe..and slow speed parking ..but what makes it better for me is how it drives it's just amazing. ..
D C That's good to know. I know Honda have had a really good reputation through the years for reliability but today's modern diesel cars have a litany of reliability issues. I was just wondering have Honda avoided all those.
Mr.Mister had at least 30 cars over the years and the civic is probably one of the best ownership experiences I've had, very easy to live with and does everything well.
Maybe one of your rear windows was replaced at one point and just not sealed up properly, i had a leak also in the trunk of my FN2. If the water is not coming in through any of the rear windows, open your trunk and look beside the hinges where the roof joins the sides of the car, seal all around that join on each side. This was sealed up on my car and that sorted it.
They should never name that suv an eclipse. Also the 1.4tsi is a great engine. Lots if poke good on fuel and reliable. Some people conplain about them but dunno what they do with them.
I came here for the Lamborghini vid and came across this I’ve got a2015 and agree with you on the points there exactly what I found also found arm rest is to far from the steering wheel to be comfortable I hate my civic
Dont mean to be smart but If you didnt like many things about it why did you buy it? 😂 people should look at all the car before getting one. I didnt get a b7 because they changed things around and didmt like it. If it aint broke dont fix it. I find vags really good with features and quirks.
Cool video Stavros,i think the civic isnt a bad looking car altho herself hates the egg shape of them even tho she loves hondas but we have the 2.2 idtec accord es gt model which looks big but again interior is quite tight and ya the accord has a piece on the dash that i keep belting my knee off and its painful,as for your civic get the plastic trims colour coded 😊😊😊
the fuel thank under the driver's seat is in dangerous spot...you shud buy a Audi A5 diesel because you do a lot of miles...good on diesel Reilly comfortable and fast...👍
@@fudz1k Hi anton don't like the start stop button you have to reset also the seating position the heads up display to. I bought it online so it's my fault Entirely 😊
Those grey horrible plastic arches mean you won’t get rusty wheel wells / arches like the old EG / EK ‘s

You clearly never driven proper cars.
Its the worst designed car
Cant you just turn down the brightness of the dials at night?

Bonnet and Fuel catches were in exactly the same and in the same place on your FN2, so a weird thing to be finding fault with now.
Dash Cam Das true
Just discovered the control stick next to the green eco button when twisted dims the dash so no more blue fog reflection!
Yeh took me ages to find that as well

Hi, how to get the VTEC to kick in in this car? I just not able to make it work... Have same automatic 1.8l engine. Help please.

the steering is down to your tyres and you should spray the plastic arch trims with black plastic paint

60+ mpg is ridiculously good!! I’ve a petrol 1.2 Renault Clio And according to car I’m getting approx 32mpg!

steering has to be reset after battery disconnected. means all stability system reset and calibrated
How can I do it?
For those black arch trims use Sonax Xtreme plastic restorer gel "its MAGIC" was the same on the CRV couldnt handle the sun
Also if in Oz try McGuire's plastic trim black. Good as new.

The 1.2 tsi is listed as one of the worst engines ever made..
You can get many products that restore plastic pieces back to Black so they look a lot better
only they're grey so I find a lick of STP sun of a gun after washing...3/4 times a year keeps them looking good
I bit personal things i guess. I am 1.90 m and the Civic has a brilliant seating position, steering and gear change.
Any reliability issues with the civic?
Mr.Mister They are amongst the most reliable cars it's possible to buy, mine has been perfect in coming up 5 years not even a bulb replaced.

thats why its called UFO :D for the interier...in a old dacia 1300 aka renault 12 , when i closed the door i pushed the horn button in with my knee :D

Stavros969 the water it self runs down into the trunk
