It´s really amazing! You guys really have to consider that first he´s playn live, which makes just everything more difficult, everyone who ever played live, knows of what I am talkn about, second he plays the whole song staying which makes it aswell more difficult than sitting in a home studio and got like 100 trys to record it. SO my respect to this tribute! He got the balls!
I've always thought playing on stage was more energized. I have always been able to do things on stage with a good band that I might not be able to accomplish otherwise. I guess you're talking about extra takes and recording section by section though, which makes sense. If you track things live with the band it is a bit more energized on stage, but even tracking things live with a band you can get things out easier then playing them alone. Non the less incredibly skilled for such an age especially. Jason Becker isn't easy stuff.
Great job Luis!! Walking around on stage and playing this monster cover like it's second nature. I'm working on the song now and that was inspirational. And more importantly, huge props for digging up 3 other musicians that will support you doing this type of music in a live atmosphere. Your band kicks ass bro. I'd love to hook up with guys like this that CAN and WILL take things to the edge. Most everybody wants to do the wanky simple stuff. (But nobody will dance to it....waaaaa) Keep rockin brother!!
your face really look like, I mean, identical to Shawn Lane.. really, like an incarnation or something like that (and your playing is a "prodigy" class if I would say), you're insane dude, I'm 16 and I still can't play that, well I can do Altitudes though just my advice, you need to add more "power" to your playing, especially on Jason's pieces.. is it necessary to mention that 15 year old kid isn't better than some famous guitarist like jeff loomis is and comparing those too? were u high when u wrote this?
Playing is alright for a 15 year old, but I can't understand why anyone would see this live? I thought that live performances were supposed to be perfect and not shitty toned arpeggios what are, believe me, fucking wrong. cheers.
