Ps Happy birthday and many more to the most amazing young lady I have has the awesome privilege of contacting via you tube🎉
Hi Pea , Congratulations and well done to do something and make a difference.👏👏👏I have never been in the Philippines but planning to visit in December. I would like to finance, sponsor , help , contribute and also pay for these young people's boarding exams. If possible let me know how to help 🙂. I have been sub and watching/learning about PH for a few months. Ty
Pea: You have brought up an EXCELLENT topic for discussion and action! Among ASEAN countries, only Laos and Cambodia have a lower GDP per capita than the Philippines. And only Myanmar has more people living below the national poverty line. Fighting poverty should be the MOST important focus of Filipino politicians, while education should be the most desirable agenda for parents. Good luck to you all!
Don't forget "financial education", not just for resupply, but expansion and saving. I recommend your protégé business people listen to the audio book, The Richest Man in Babylon", it is very simple in its message and will benefit them. Good luck and God Bless!
Hot business tip for filipinos: all the money that you make on any given day is not free money for you to take home and spend you have to budget out paying for your inventory, taxes etc. This is a surprisingly common problem in Paradise Islands! Bookkeeping 101!
Ha yes... And every Filipino has a continual pipeline of catastrophic events that require them to blow or pawn their capital, whether family medical, deaths, rent, bills, etc etc
As a foreigner I tend to stay away from street vendors that sell drinks and ice. If they don’t use filtered water and ice, you can get very sick! Spending 3 days on the toilet 🚽 can ruin a vacation.
My experience over the last year of creating a construction company that now employs over 40 people is that the Filipino culture lacks critical thinking in all aspects of life. I am shocked that I have had to teach grown men how to do the basic skills of construction even when they claim to be "skilled" workers. This week I had to teach a group of workers use the new shop vac. There is very little interest in improving their skills or obtaining new knowledge. Over the past year it has taken me sorting through many employees to come up with my core group. I am also shocked how people just leave for no reason. I have heard such reasons as "I have to go plant corn" have to take care of my cow, etc. I pay wages that are higher than any construction company here hoping to increase the loyalty to the company but it has been a long battle. I think that we have turned the corner and we will be showing our beautiful new homes in about 6 weeks. Oh what a book I could write.
I feel like this could actually be a benefit with strong leadership. Too many times in the states people (at the lower levels) will go rogue and do their own thing, not exactly following instructions. Filipino labor, Western leadership.

So cool! I hope this works out. Beyond work ethic and product, four key factors (I'm sure you know): 1. No dipping into the seed corn, no matter what. Always need enough money to buy tomorrow's products. 2, 3, 4. Location, location, location! Great locations will mostly already be occupied, so finding a location that is good enough will be the next challenge. I'm sure you've given it thought. Can't wait to see the results. This is almost the end of the rainy season, so timing is good. You are already encouraging ex-pats to choose Dumaguete, so the local economy will be better than further out in the province. Your channel is providing some free advertising, but most viewers are far, far away. Best luck to al involved.
This is the most heart felt video I've seen in a long time. Props to you! ❤ This looks like a great way to help if I'm an expat and my wife has an adult child or children. You're always paying it forward and I love that about you.
Love how you always want your country to do better and you do something about it. I am curious about one thing. If these carts help people climb the ladder of success (to become a police officer and teacher for example), do the carts get passed onto someone else?
Filipinos cannot succed in life, they lack education, they lack job skills, they lack money, if they would as much time on their cell phones on "BOOKS" they would be more prosperous, but where ever you go you see Filipinos on cell phone whether they'yre walking, sleeping, eating, those cell phones has destroyed the Filipino mentality.
😃, you're so creative, entertaining, and funny. You must be about one in a billion. I guess this sounds like major simping, but I'm only giving credit where credit is due. You make a great video.
Pea what a great idea! I'm anxious and hopeful that they all turn a profit for those folks! This is what I love about you, your thoughtful and resourceful attitude! Good job Pea!
Your compassion and willingness to step out and help people always amazes me. This is where change happens - at the person to person level. Thank you for being a role model.
I gave my Filipino wife 5,000 peso. She gave it to her mother who then buy supplies for her sorry sorry store. BUT the prices the mother was charging for her goods was crazy below normal, Prices so low once she sold the items there was no money left over to purchase new items to restock the store. Selling things below cost to buy again for restock. Their brains just are not wired to be self sustained making new money.
That generalisation is not true. I have helped several into business and they have done okay. Supporting something that is at their level usually helps. I think it's useful to figure out where they are at. Have they had a sari-sari before or have zero business experience. If the later... Did you teach them or check with them on what they buy for and what they sell for, and what profit is. Or that cash on hand is not profit. So can't be spent. Just basic business skills. I think understanding what is profit is important. So if family ask for help, they know which money they can use. Also with a Sari-sari, how do they say no to family members who expect to be given foods. And lastly dealing with giving away goods on credit.
@@desshinnick9365 Good points on the moochers and credit. It’s a problem in the society. They need to hold to solid business principles. You can’t do stupid things and then continue to say your society was colonized (by a country that pumped billions into it) 80 years ago and that’s the source of your problems. 🙄
I lived there for a while and it always frustrated me that every business seemed to be foreign owned and the way they look up to the US so much, it's ridiculous! They begged Bush for financial help when he visited but he snubbed them, very humiliating. They should be doing as well as Thailand with tourism but the corruption means the funding to develop those areas end up in the pockets of officials and government. They need to tackle corruption before anything gets better for the people, but it's so deeply ingrained in their psyche and history I can't see it happening.
Hey there Pea, once again another winning video. It was not quite what I was expecting, but I have the patience of a fruit fly, chuckling. To be honest i was expecting to see the contest. As I think about it this gives you a little reprieve and more time to monitor results and edit the final video. You reaching out and making a difference in peoples lives while trying to make things a little better for them is why I became a Patreon member. I know you are busier than a one armed paper hanger with the 7 year itch, but please DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT neglect your health. both mental and physical. Be blessed my friend and take care.
You have a good idea for helping people hopefully make a better life for themselves. In pretty much typica fashion, you help people. You have a good heart Pea. Keep up the good work. I hope they do well in their new buisiness
What many do not understand is a start-up cost as simple as $300 - 400 USD is out of reach for many here. Too many try to survive on only $100 - 200 USD per month.
All jokes aside; Pea you are one of the most Compassionate, Intelligent, Humorous, Beautiful women I've never met. Would Love to make your acquaintance some day. Great ideas and video.
Hi Pea I do glad to watch your content and help others with your blessings thats why I know you are a beautiful and blessed person keep up the wonderful job 🙏
I have been watching your channel for nearly a month and your generosity to help people in your country really touches me. I have never met many people outside my family who are willing to help others do better in life.
Pea, i love watching you helping people. I dont know if you have ever discussed or tried to encourage birth control. So many of the filipinos have too many children and whats truly sad is they can’t even provide for themselves much less 5 children or more. I realize that their are a lot of Catholics but they think its ok to have same sex marriage but not stop a crazy population explosion. Maybe they should provide money, food and housing for their parishioners who have so many children. Watch how quickly the Catholic Church would approve birth control when they start paying the bills for these little children
Pea I hope you have a great success at your grand opening. How about telling us locals where the stands will be located? I would be happy to support your efforts.
Pea, I've spent my whole life helping people start their own business. It's the best feeling ever. You are on the right path dear one. Great, great service to others!!!
Everyone's interested but who's willing to make the sacrifices especially in the face of what their family might say or expect from them. Starting a business never a straight line annual have to adapt as you go to what works and what doesn't work it's a never-ending process ultimately you want a business that's scalable so you can take employ others and multiply your efforts there are a lot of smart people in the Philippines unfortunately there there's so much bureaucracy, regulations, red tape. Very difficult to grow a business that's scalable unless you're doing something online.
BLESS you Pea, this is a good way to start people off. However I have 1 concern:the amt of rubbish generated by these take away drinks with plastic cups etc, & I have seen the amount of RUBBISH plastic that builds up in some countries. MAYBE try for paper, non laminated cups or to sell REUSABLES, with a free refill next time, + a cheaper rate if you bring your own! Many of us here do that for our take away coffees! I know these are start ups, BUT it is something to consider further down the line if this takes off for you! (& your business proteges! )
@@ejtaylor73Not quite. Their government will throw them in jail if they get any traction. Adolfo Salas Sr. was arrested on charges believed to be fabricated, and labor organizer Jude Thaddeus Fernandez was shot dead during a police raid. Many activists and union leaders have been targeted and killed under similar circumstances. Additionally, former Senator Leila de Lima remains in detention despite being acquitted of certain charges, which many view as politically motivated.
The government corruption is largely a result of the Philippines being a dual vassal state of both China and the US. Both countries view it as an unofficial de facto colony. The Filipino government elites know that if they look too closely at the corruption (which largely benefits US and Chinese companies) then the CIA or CCP wil look to "spread democracy" or "reclaim historical territory". The truth is that colonization has never really ended in the Philippines. It shifted from an official regime to shadow colonization via puppet regime.
Happy Friday Pea! Now are you giving them a Pea crash course in business management (don't spend all the profits!) ? Best wishes for their future. Take care Pea and thank you for giving back.
I’m rooting for a 3 way tie but no matter who wins, you’re all winners. I really hope it works out for all of you. If I was there I’d buy a soda because I don’t like milk tea or coffee. I might just give James 39 pesos just for the local chismas lol

We can bring our small business over and hire 5 to 10 people and provide a decent salary and housing. The problem? The daunting and expensive restrictions put in place by the various levels of government. Your government should be working to attract business and that will provide so many benefits to your country. We would love to open up a location in the Philippines, but every day that we run into yet another challenge and cost, it becomes less attractive.
It is even more LESS attracttive if an expat/foreign person cannot own (more than 51%) of the business. I understand why the govt wants to protect the land and the ppl of the PH but they need to find a better balance tht would allow for knowledge exchange and get more expats/foreign investment into the PH. Right now the PH asset is the ppl and they all become OFWs and build overseas companies, with little money being sent back to the home land........different type of thinking the govt needs........BUT Pea is thinking different......a great small start........hopefully bigger ideas coming.. Good Luck Pea.
@@amowatt01 yes, it's unbalanced. They should let foreigners own a small amount of land .. tax the purchase if they want, but foreigners here help the locals
Maligayang Biermes, Pea. You are so awesome. You crafted great stands and have presented a wonderful opportunity for each of these people in need. I can't wait to see the grand openings and how well they do. Hasta luego until Tuesday. Ingat sa Palagi, Pea 😘
What drag Philippines down are; Lack of government management, too much corruption, short of infrastructure development, poor employment creation, more foreign business investments, have an independent political system and not being used like a Lackey. Which country wants to invest in a country with unstable government policy? Investors need long term security and a favorable return for their investments.

This Is Great Pea ! I'm Wishing Them All The Best , I Can't Wait To See How Everything Goes ! I Hope You Have A Wonderful Night Po ! Ingat 🙏🙏🙏🥰💯🎉🎉🎉
😂
Stupid is as stupid does. Gotta sell above purchase. Anyone knows that
Great idea Pea! I hope it works out for them and changes their lives for the better. I will look out for them when I get to Dumaguete.
Thanks Bob! Please watch Part 2 on Tuesday - there’s a big surprise 👍❤️

I like how you look for ways give back to your community always thinking how you can help improve there situation.
You are more than just a "Pea in a pod". Your initiative to make a difference is commendable. I hope that it's a success! You're such a genius! 😉

❤❤ good morning/evening Ms Pea ❤❤ such a beautiful soul
A beautiful soul? You’ve been looking in the mirror again 🤣❤️
What many do not understand is a start-up cost as simple as $300 - 400 USD is out of reach for many here. Too many try to survive on only $100 - 200 USD per month.
The longer you make excuses for your limitations the longer you will have them.
I really love that you are doing that for people. I hope it lifts people out of poverty and despair. Wonderful.

I have been watching your channel for nearly a month and your generosity to help people in your country really touches me. I have never met many people outside my family who are willing to help others do better in life.
Good job pea ❤
Thanks Larry!! 👍❤️
James seems like such a kind and gentle fellow. I pray that they all have great success. You are very kind Pea.
Wish you success! You are great! The world needs more people like you
Congratulations Pea. And advanced Happy Birthday Pea🎉cake 🎂
The U.S. is building 10 small bases in Philippines right now. Should be good construction pay.
Good evening Pea
Pea, I've spent my whole life helping people start their own business. It's the best feeling ever. You are on the right path dear one. Great, great service to others!!!
Great initiative, Pea. Your helping people certainly will bring results and hopefully success.
Very difficult to grow a business that's scalable unless you're doing something online.
thats some good content right there, nice work. btw, team SPILL THE BEANS
Please watch Part 2 on Tuesday to see if you’re right! And there’s a big surprise too 👍❤️
BLESS you Pea, this is a good way to start people off.
(& your business proteges! )
Great idea, DMS 👍👍👍

Poverty and corruption go hand by hand, the government has to change or you are destined to poverty and misery
The government has no reason to change because the people don't push back against it. They are just contented with how things are.
@@ejtaylor73 Then Enjoy poverty forever, nothing better than a happy beggar
@@ejtaylor73Not quite. Their government will throw them in jail if they get any traction.
Adolfo Salas Sr. was arrested on charges believed to be fabricated, and labor organizer Jude Thaddeus Fernandez was shot dead during a police raid.
Many activists and union leaders have been targeted and killed under similar circumstances. Additionally, former Senator Leila de Lima remains in detention despite being acquitted of certain charges, which many view as politically motivated.
It’s all by design The global cartel banking system is running the show
The government corruption is largely a result of the Philippines being a dual vassal state of both China and the US.
Norm! I was just watching a show where everybody knows your name 🤣🤣🤣
@@TheFilipinaPea The sad thing is they all say 'Norm!' but no one offers me a beer.

I’m rooting for a 3 way tie but no matter who wins, you’re all winners. I really hope it works out for all of you. If I was there I’d buy a soda because I don’t like milk tea or coffee. I might just give James 39 pesos just for the local chismas lol

I can't wait to see how quickly it grows. Thank you so much for sharing us with us.I can't wait to see what else you come up with on the next video. My name is cedric i'm your biggest fan
A very serious video this Friday before the weekend.
The government is certainly a huge impediment to getting anything done.
Tout cela est dû au faible QI moyen aux Philippines, qui n'est que de 83
Sounds like Italy, which is why if you move there, you need an outside source of income.
