It looks like that writers strike was a great thing for the marvel legends team it forced them to do more comic based figures that 2 pack is a first day pre-order for me another great video Jeffrey
Thanks James! I thought we might get a little window for some comic focused figures thanks to the gap with MCU product and the ML team is taking full advantage of it.
I'm just happy to get a ironfist. Always wanted one of him and on this figure I can overlook somethings you pointed out. At the end of the day we got him!
Yeah I want the mid 200s era Avengers, but I want a slightly different Luke Cage. I'd like to see him with the black tank and maybe a head with the beanie or shades. Still, I'm happy this period of comics is getting some love this year with that Iron-Man.
Absolutely. I'm definitely not opposed to various lengthy runs (1.5 years at least) getting represented in Marvel Legends regardless of the time period. Cage still has a few more looks that could make for fun figures. The Marvel Knights look with the leather jacket and red shirt is another so hopefully we'll see the black beater look as well down the road.
I like this two pack. Also just want to say I always enjoy your videos and your community. Your genuine appreciation comes through and that's so much better than negativity.
I think a cool segment that I have yet to see on a toy channel would be to have toy customizers, compete to see if they can create a better action figure product than the major toy companies. Just a thought. Keep up the good work Brotha!
Well, I have 4 Luke Cage now, I was going to Kitbash one into Mack from Agents of SHIELD. I only recently, about 2 weeks ago got the 4th as Walmart had a sale and I was able to get Luke Cage and Claire Temple 2-pack. So, I will throw my extra Luke Cage into an Exiles Team.
It's obvious that Marvel is trying to keep fans from getting figures based on the silver age. They constantly push this new age look that started in the middle of the 2000s. I wouldn't care if they made the newer costume as a store exclusive and gave the rest of us a classic version.
It's a balance. They are doing some Silver Age figures -- see Baron Zemo and Arnim Zola, Ka-Zar, Ikaris, just like 90s looks and modern age. I skew more Silver/Bronze Age looks myself but it's not realistic to think they're going to do every figure specifically from the era I want.
They have to reach every demographic. Marvel has evolved a lot and a lot of people know different looks. Hasbro is trying to do something of everything, ya know? Not everyone collects the same looks.
I think they should have included this modern Luke Cage in the Midnight Sons wave and the classic Luke in this two-pack. That's what people wanted. They could have done a modern Iron Fist look in a later wave, so we have that option.
It's actually crazy how good of a year this will be for Legends. We're only in April and I've already ordered (or received) so many "must-haves." It's only April and I've already ordered more Legends this year than the last 2 years combined; maybe even 3 years. They seem dedicated to either giving us the perfect versions of certain characters (like Luke Cage, Ghost Rider, Sabretooth) or finally giving us characters we desperately need (Wolfsbane or Angel), and more times than not they are giving us unique tooling for these. (A lifelong Marvel fan) I've gone from painfully caring less about Legends and essentially abandoning the line for the last 3 years, to now Legends being my favorite line to collect again! This is what we've been begging them to do because we knew it was possible, and hopefully it pays off for them so that they can keep doing more of this and keep improving further. I'm perfectly happy to pay the full price for Legends that are properly done, than to catch mediocre ones on a discount.
That's a HUGE difference. There were figures I was kinda so-so on due to the execution and was happy to get them on clearance. With these figures, they're adding the articulation and accessories to justify the full price.
Iron Fist looks ALMOST perfect. My only gripe is that they didn't taper his open shirt and they used that chinty flame effect for the fist, but I have some ideas to customize his fist so a solid release. But I'm not happy that they stuck him in a 2 pack with a modern version of Luke Cage I don't want and don't need, so I gotta go sell that one on ebay. I'm starting to not like 2-packs. But this adds a much needed classic character, so I'm happy! Hoping we get some Iron Fist villains now! I'm also happy we get two nicely done expressive faces for Iron Fist, unlike what we saw with Luke Cage.

I agree i dont like 2pks when i only want one figure . They never did get the paywall issue as much as they say they did .
This figure is technically based on Danny Rands last appearance in the Iron Fist suit. This figure is based almost entirely off of Iron Fist:Heart of the Dragon from 2021. Well, at least the cover art anyway. I'd actually prefer if it was the design from the interior cover art. Check that series out if y'all haven't it's pretty solid!
Nice update video, I guess we can't rag on Hasbro for being inaccurate. I didn't even notice the V/U thing at first, but when it was mentioned it did stick out, and I do love the classic versions. Dilemma! I think I'm just gonna wait and see if this two pack goes on sale. I don't want to pay full price for versions I am not completely into; just have that gamble they will do a full classic Iron Fist sometime (not guaranteed?!). I have a similar issue with the SHIELD 3 pack...I love the Nick Fury, I think the Duggan would be a great bonus (would buy as a 2 pack), but Sharon Carter is a figure that looks great but isn't my era and I am not bothered about. Budget is a thing! Again, I'll wait for a clearance sale (and of course risk missing out if the set sells out and never gets discounted). If they are doing three-packs, put some kind of discount on to make it more worthwhile, or they are just forcing people to get figures they wouldn't otherwise. I am definately buying Nefaria, Blacklash, She-Hulk, Ghost Rider and Warbird. Awesome reveals. Probably Wolverine as well, he looks great. Oh, and the Zola/Zemo pack. That's about £200 already :0

It should of been classic cage with iron fist in this release but hasbro really dropped the ball with that last luke cage release so I'm glad we getting the modern cage
So for me, this two pack works perfectly fine. I would have liked the 70s Luke with blue pants and v chest Iron Fist but hey, to me this is great. @@LylesFigureFiles Thanks! Other than those terrible arms and the need for pinless knees, she’s not a bad looking figure. So, yeah, definitely needs an update. I jumped on this as well. I need a Daredevil figure though. A comic one. I like the new double pack one but dont want the hydroman. Even though that is anime based, could still work. Older versions simply are too expensive.
Iron Fist's outfit isn't wrong, its just that the classic collar ended in a "V" shape, his entire abdomen wasn't exposed like that. Honestly I don’t care if it’s completely accurate or not, people need to appreciate the fact that at least we’re getting a classic Ironfist!! You give people what they want and they’ll still complain regardless, they’ll never be satisfied..
When they revealed this two-pack, I immediately noticed the stupid rectangular neck cut on Iron Fist. Being a more classic fan of Marvel, obviously he's supposed to have a V neck top. I looked up pictures of Iron Fist and saw that this specific design was used as recently as a 2021 run. What absolutely sucks is this design is close enough to the design people actually wanted that they won't release another with the proper design anytime soon. I absolutely hate Hasbro for this.
THAT is the Luke Cage I want. I don’t need some figure of a look the character hasn’t worn since the damned EIGHTIES! I gleefully skipped that 70s throwback,Blaxploitation, figure. He literally fits with NO ONE but Iron Fist with the modern one can go with Fist, the Thunderbolts ,The New and Mighty Avengers( Cage,Blade,Superior Spider-Man,Blue Marvel,Photon,She Hulk)
I like the option of getting both of them in a relatively short amount of time. I wonder if they'll add in some removable gauntlets to get that Thunderbolts look?
What do you mean he fits with NO-ONE else? Like Misty Knight and Colleen Wing are chopped liver?🧐. Apart from that, Power Man and Iron Fist ran for a long time and even though the rogues gallery hasn't been mined in any depth, someone might want to set up a display based on it...with the more well known villains or customs.
Yeah, I think this will work fine for collectors who don't care about that slight change. It's really more of a deal where what Hasbro released here isn't wrong based on the misconception that this was a classic IFist lumped in with a modern Cage.

Tombstone, Luke Cage, Blade, and Retro Prowler have all been hits. Since its a classic iron fist i would want a classic luke cage power man like the old 2pk i dont really like the new luke cage who just looks like a street guy and not a hero . I'll wait it out for the hype to die down once everybody got it and buy iron fist on secondary market just like im doing sabretooth . Patience is a virtue and so is timing . I also wish that they had used this buck of luke cage for the powerman fig who is undersized .
Not too accurate but a good two pack luke cage looks like just a bold headed black guy with jeans and a t shirt it can be anybody but the classic look Luke Cage with iron fist would look more accurate but this two pack is still very awesome 👍🏻
Yeah, dropped the ball big time with the 2-pack. If they're going to do 2-packs, then they shouldn't mix modern characters with classic figures or comic figures with MCU figures. Make the 2 packs logical. But logic is a foreign concept to Hasbro.
@@LylesFigureFiles The problem is that the classic Iron Fist and this one (in the 2-pack) are virtually indistinguishable and most collectors do consider this a classic Iron Fist mixed with a modern Luke Cage, regardless of the intent of Hasbro. If this Iron Fist had been released in a 2-pack with the earlier classic Luke Cage, everyone would have understood this was the classic team.
Great catch and explanation. If we are going to call out Hasbro for mistakes, we have to give them credit and check ourselves when we get it wrong and they get it right.
Thanks Casey. I know we'd been kinda conditioned to expect the worse from Hasbro, but they have been making noticeable strides the last two years to deliver more of what we've been asking for.
That's not comic accurate for Luke Cage. They just released his classic look. The reboot version is not exciting. He just looks like a dude in street clothes. At least give me some body builder muscle tone.

My gripe with the iron fist figure is that he is too tall. Iron Fist should not be as tall as Captain America.
For a figure like him, I just keep him far away from characters he should be noticeably shorter than in the comics.
The 2-pack makes sense economically. Why? Because now not only the fans of 70s comic-crap but also the fans of actually good comics will buy this set.
So not a Bronze Age fan...?
@@LylesFigureFiles Just a fan of Comics that weren't written for kids.
That is how the comic book design is, but sounds like you're more of a fan of the fun classic look.
Yeah booooooy, looking forward to the hero for hire and the skarr action figures
Thank you! I'm happy to hear from someone who's excited about the Skaar figure!
Yeah, dropped the ball big time with the 2-pack. If they're going to do 2-packs, then they shouldn't mix modern characters with classic figures or comic figures with MCU figures. Make the 2 packs logical. But logic is a foreign concept to Hasbro.
They're based on their New Avengers looks, not the Power Man & Iron Fist costumes.
@@LylesFigureFiles I thought that was classic Iron Fist. Same costume except for the tapering issue.
Agreed! I appreciate your content Lyle.
👍🏽
Thanks man!
That's not comic accurate for Luke Cage. They just released his classic look. The reboot version is not exciting. He just looks like a dude in street clothes. At least give me some body builder muscle tone.
What do you mean? He's had the yellow shirt in several comics.
