I love how when everyone recites the songs that they referenced in the breakdown at the end, they only take the vocals into account. The guitar's strumming patterns are definitely that of Burning Down the Nicotine Armoire Parts 1 & 2
Ddossed seriously. In general they tend to pull a lot of heavy emotion but this song makes me want to fucking cry for real, and i can’t even express why
I feel like the emotion on your face as all the references come in really exemplifies how much Dance Gavin Dance has created a community and a legacy around their music. Fantastic cover as always
Mikerism is like the one-man band DGD from the other universe, except that he contemporarily exist with us & that being said, is already a divine providence
Hey Andy! I would love to see more covers from you and Mike together. You guys are both awesome! Maybe do something from this album even, it's all amazing. Anyway, I love your passion and work man, keep it up.
Amen. By far my favorite song on the album. Especially that 3:57 "define the great line" -esque guitar part that makes me picture lightning bolts exploding trees, fighter jets breaking the sound barrier, nuclear reactor rods pulling out of uranium, and fast motion sunrise and sunsets. Those kinda visuals. I'm a weirdo.
I think its the breakdown, ringing, siren-ish, dissonant stuff that Tim (underoath) used to write that caught my ear. He doesn't write good stuff like that anymore unfortunately.
Durran Born The sad thing is that he does, but the others in the band have moved on from that sound, hence the different sound of Erase Me. There's a few interviews where it's pretty obvious that he still wants to write the same stuff, but Aaron and Spencer have a different goal in mind.
Amazing I haven't found a single tab on the internet for this song that sounds remotely close to this and it's always so hard to separate the two guitarists parts with dgd thank you so much ! Love the cover
Vegan Dweeb Same here. Especially as an album closer, I was extremely disappointed in it for the first like week or so after the release. Even with that fan service ending. Haha. But it really grew on me hard. It's one of my favorite closers now, right behind Back to The Future Pt. 2 and Man of The Year.
I've said it once and I'll say it again. You let your emotion show while playing and i appreciate the fuck out of it. Keep it smooth brother, you sound great.
I just found your channel. I absolutely love the energy you play with. I can't get enough of how much fun you're having. Evaporate is defiantly my favorite off the album. Great Video.
Oh my god if you do Bloodsucker then I’m set. You are awesome. You’re killing it. What makes you better than other people who do covers is that you enjoy what you’re doing. You have fun with it. Other people are straight faced and boring
Man, I really love your channel. You're rly emotional player, and I see your feelings from the screen. You rly love this, and we're all appreciate this. Let's do it;) P.S. I really want to look, how you will sing on camera. No matter if you will only simulate this, but video will be more powerful, I think:)
Amazing. Let me say I have been a fan of this band for a long time and there are not as many quality covers as I've expected coming out but you are definitely worth a sub and follow, ESPECIALLY because of the tabs. That is a lot of potential extra work people don't normally do, so I'll definitely be watching you and reading along as I slowly learn
Alan Brucke UA-cam doesn’t give me notifications from everyone I follow obviously. I’ll turn on the notification bell so I don’t miss future videos like hair song!
0:53 holy fuck. "You can aim down fire, we'll be living how we want". The Artificial Selection and Afterburner albums are one single picture. AS being the top of the tree with AB being the bottom with the flames. Look closely and follow the tree height with eyes. And at the bottom you find the Iron Bull and animals in complete chaos "living how they want".
Awesome cover man! Have you thought about adding a little extra gain for them chugs? Thy could use a little extra ‘umph’. Not sure what your setup is, but regardless, spot on!
Awesome cover Mike! Any way you could cover or do a lesson on "Missed Injections" by Hail The Sun? I'm dying to learn that tune but cant seem to sound it out myself.
I tried to learn this myself, but I was only able to get the lead part at 1:35 (right guitar). I'm not too good at playing chords by ear so that's why I've been struggling.
Hey Mike! As always, fantastic cover. I’ve got a question - what have you found to be the most difficult DGD song to learn/play? Your Stroke God, Millionaire cover helped me figure out how to play the song fairly quickly, and I’ve heard from a few people that Chucky vs the Giant Tortoise is the most similar in terms of guitar work, although to me it seems to be a good bit more difficult than Stroke God. Any thoughts? And thanks for all the videos, especially playthroughs/tutorials! Cheers!
Holy crap, call back much? I love it! Oh, you should have listened to your friends You would have been over this by now Over this by now, I'm found (Who drains the blood from my head? I do do Who accepts me as I am? I do I do) What excuses do you make? We own the night For one good note Well don't it feel good? You get what you paid for Well don't it feel good? You get what you paid for
Please Do a Cover of NASA and Tree Village!!! Those are my Two Favorite All Time DGD Songs!!! Please!!! Also I Really Loved your Cover of Robot With Human Hair pt.2 1/2!!!
my fav. song off the album! nice job dude. killed it, i subbed and even rung that stupid fucking bell youtube added for whatever illogical reason they pretended to justify
Tabs are now in the description. Happy playing =)!!
Thank you for covering this one! More Royal Coda?
I love how when everyone recites the songs that they referenced in the breakdown at the end, they only take the vocals into account. The guitar's strumming patterns are definitely that of Burning Down the Nicotine Armoire Parts 1 & 2
Should do a lesson!
This song holds so many emotions in it
Ddossed seriously. In general they tend to pull a lot of heavy emotion but this song makes me want to fucking cry for real, and i can’t even express why
What You See is What You Get they have like seven call backs to previous songs in the last verse. It’s insane
Andrew Brown YES!!! I love it so much
That last part always hit me hard. Sometimes I cry, and sometimes I don't, but I always feel it right in my jellies lol.
Finally, the best song of the album
ilocosmetro I don't know man. The Rattler, Hair Song, and Bloodsucker exist.
100% agree.
Probably their best closer since acceptance speech, just a godly way to end an album
Finally someone said it
@@zdoggzero6595 Man of the year was a fantastic outro
I feel like the emotion on your face as all the references come in really exemplifies how much Dance Gavin Dance has created a community and a legacy around their music.
Fantastic cover as always
The ending part of this song always brings me tears. It’s so beautiful
Mikerism is like the one-man band DGD from the other universe, except that he contemporarily exist with us & that being said, is already a divine providence
Bro please take some medicine because this is sick af
Amazing job, as always!
Andy Cizek Thanks dude 🙂
Hey Andy! I would love to see more covers from you and Mike together. You guys are both awesome! Maybe do something from this album even, it's all amazing. Anyway, I love your passion and work man, keep it up.
Awww ye. Stop whatever you're doing and listen to this dude
Those five people were too overwhelmed. Please keep them coming!
Durran Born I’d never picked up on the similarity to the “Define The Great Line” sound, but you’re so right. I need to re-listen to that album.
Yeah, same thought... now that he pointed it out I know exactly what he means.
Then Spence and Aaron should have done a side project... people want that era of UO!
YOU COULD HAVE BEEN OVER THIS BY NOWWWW
Doppel Ganger909 I BELIEVE THERE'S MEANING. NO I BELIEVE THERE'S NOTHING.
OVER THIS BYYY NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWW!!!!!!!
STEP, BACK, LET, GOOOO!!!
isn't it STEP BACK LET GO?
Jonathon is ZA BEST JOESTAR! Uh yeah probably. Whoops
Amazing I haven't found a single tab on the internet for this song that sounds remotely close to this and it's always so hard to separate the two guitarists parts with dgd thank you so much ! Love the cover
This was one of my least favorites from the album at first but after more listens it’s just stupidly good
Vegan Dweeb Same here. Especially as an album closer, I was extremely disappointed in it for the first like week or so after the release. Even with that fan service ending. Haha.
But it really grew on me hard. It's one of my favorite closers now, right behind Back to The Future Pt. 2 and Man of The Year.
It's good once you get past the first 30 seconds.
That face you make at the start is one of the many reasons why I love you haha great cover
I love how you're so into the part in Andrew's verse, which is hands down one of the best guitar parts on the album.
HowLongs Absolutely. Probably the most emotion in a guitar part in any dgd song. It doesn't happen often!
The amount of fun you have while playing this makes me enjoy it even more haha
Coming home from work to see that Mike has covered my favorite song on DGD's new album. Fuck yes.
dude im a drummer but watching someone play guitar at this level is just fascinating! keep up the good work my dude!
I've said it once and I'll say it again. You let your emotion show while playing and i appreciate the fuck out of it. Keep it smooth brother, you sound great.
Bro you shredded it. This song is the essence of a banger. Hell yeah.
Perfect as always, my man!
WELL DON'T IT FEEL GOOD?
YOU GOT WHAT YOU PAID FOOORRRRR.
Goddamn, the goosebumps from the feels during that ending. Very well done, sir.
I just found your channel. I absolutely love the energy you play with. I can't get enough of how much fun you're having. Evaporate is defiantly my favorite off the album. Great Video.
there's not a lot of super technical play in this song. i wish i could write something so simple and effective
I adore the passion that you put into your DGD covers.
Masterful job. This is my personal favorite instrumentally on the album. And you made it come alive!
This is my favourite song too. The chorus and the ending are dope.. And the guitars are pretty great.
Oh my god if you do Bloodsucker then I’m set. You are awesome. You’re killing it. What makes you better than other people who do covers is that you enjoy what you’re doing. You have fun with it. Other people are straight faced and boring
Well don't it feel good? YES. It absolutely does.

P.S. I really want to look, how you will sing on camera. No matter if you will only simulate this, but video will be more powerful, I think:)
2:34 made me lol. synchronized vibing between the two guitars!
