    As an old CALT, seeing this video thrilled my heart. Here's to Anna Gillingham, Sally Childs, Aylett Cox and the people they inspired!

    Hi just wanted to say I’m a dyslexic adult attempting to learn a new language and this video has been really helpful in giving me ideas in how to replicate the orton-gillingham education I was given as a child.

    Hello! I love your teacher sheet and the materials you show the students. As others have said, it looks very different than what I received in my OG training. Is it possible to buy or share this?

    Good lesson. Cad is a real word. It's old fashioned, not used much, but it means a boy or man who does not act in a respectful manner.

    Did you notice that while you didn’t want to add a short u sound to “d”, you consistently added it to the sound of the letter “g”, saying “g says gu”.

      Yes, I realized it later too. This video was before I had a mic and was trying to make the sound louder so it could be heard. Definitely, make sure the schwa isn’t modeled for students. 😅

      If you say 'cad' is real word, how to explain 'cad' to your Kindergarten group?

    • @lisawarunek4831
      @lisawarunek4831 Рік тому +2

      @@debreale5236 it's a word but not something kindergarteners would know or should know. I always ask students if it's a word we know. If it's not something I expect they should know, I quickly tell them it is a word but it's a word for big kids, one that we don't need to worry about right now.

      Know better, do better. In the moment, I didn’t think it was a real word. It’s impossible to be perfect all the time… even for our students! There isn’t a way for me to edit this video. I’m planning on remaking this video in the future but until then, please extend grace. 😊
