Very similar to Jim Thompson buzzing book exercises on the horn

Self taught here. But I listen to Dukes of Dixieland for ear training. The talent on the low register is insane. Good advice here

Well, probably a personal taste, but everyone talks about the 1st trumpets, the Solo man in any orchestra, but I always love the 2nd trumpet players, and most of them are awesome, unique !
Love this Low note’s approach. Thank you 👏

This video is a life saver! ... I hope. I ve been struggling with my low register. Not resonant enough, sounds dull. I am going to incorporate this exercise and see how I will progress. I will check out your long-tone video as well.

As J. Thompson in his Buzzing book.
    Do you know it?

The Philadelphia Orchestra people are gonna get upset at you for what you did @ 0:10. They don't want you to compromise your chops so they're gonna get after you. 😜

"So many players struggle with the low register" lol yea right, like the eternal struggle on the trumpet is the LOW register.

I understand what you mean, but I know lots of players that can barely play in the low register, so I think that’s what I meant in this video.

The funny thing is how you can’t see how they’re connected. Check out Arturo or Adam Rapa’s low range.
