I had the pleasure of seeing Pat Benatar and Blondie a few summers ago at Coney Island. Pat was amazing, so together and her voice sounded fantastic. Thanks for bringing her to us here.
Not only is she the greatest vocalist that I have ever heard but she's smart as hell too! I first heard her song, "Heartbreaker" on the radio when I was 13 years old in '79 and was blown away! Seen her and Neil live 8 times through the years and can't get enough! She is the Queen of Rock and the warrior who defends my soul!
Just saw her in concert 4 hours ago. She looks the exact same as in this interview (same black top also, haha) but yeah, she is awesome. I was having chills/head rushes the whole way through her set, she has such a good voice!
My first concert was Pat Benatar "Get Nervous" Tour 1983; I finally got to meet her last year; she is major cool and down to Earth. I've never outgrown my music; I started a Pat Benatar YT Channel in my 40's, lol. (More than one but YT shut down the other). Love Amy and Pat Benatar!
Amy this is amazing! I've been on a real Pat kick lately, this woman is freaking awesome. And she's just getting better with age! Will you look at her? She is so so cool. Ugh to see her live!
I seriously love Love LOVE Pat Benatar, I have since I was in high school, she ROCKS! Talented smart STRONG female...yeah, she's got it all :) Great interview too :)
I am so envious that you got to interview The First Lady of Rock! I have been a mega fan of hers since 1979 with the debut of, “In the Heat of the Night.” I have very album in every form of media. I had the posters on my walls, and wore to 80s buttons on my clothes…the whole bit. This said, I literally never want to meet her. She’s been such an important figure in my life for the past 43 years that I don’t want to take the chance that she can’t live up to the icon in my mind. She might turn out to be a real human being, and not made of ethereal stuff, and the 12-year-old boy who still lives in my head won’t be able to cope
She is touring right now; go for it! Go to my channel and click on Pat's website link on my cover pic; you'll see her scheduled tour dates. See her while you can.

"I didn't want to date Robert Plant. I wanted to be Robert Plant." nice.
She knows a lot. She should have been a freakin "Dear Abby".
