I'm still having a hard time connecting the fact that the Homunculus is voiced by Charles Martinet. The longtime voice of Mario, Luigi and so very many more. Just, imagine that soft spoken gothy yaoi bait boy going "LET'S A-GO!"
I remember watching the trailer for this game over and over on the bonus dvd disc that came the Silent Hill 2 collector's edition. I still wanna give it a go.
Holy shit, I was just trying to remember the name of this game earlier this week. I had this game as a kid and could not figure it out for the life of me but wanted to try and rediscover it if possible. Getting a video from Minx is an even better gift, tho! I do remember cosplaying this dude FOREVER ago. People thought I was "Camo-Cloud Strife" =(
Kind of uncanny that this playthrough popped up, I've been on a nostalgia kick and lightly obsessed with this game for the past few weeks and waffling on buying another copy of the psp port since I never made it to one of the "true" endings when I played it way back. If you're in the mood for a similar game about a pretty anime man with amnesia trying to solve a dream logic space-time mystery but for some reason wished the dialogue and puzzles were 1000% more awkward than in Shadow of Destiny, if you can get it running there's an old Sega Saturn game called Lunacy that is... distinct, in an MST3K film kind of way.
Was obsessed with this game back in the day. Such a good story how it was made too. So many of these good personal project art games were made back then. Reminds me of the one you played earlier where you have that ghost sidekick.
I honestly really enjoyed this game! Out of all the time travelling games, this one had a semblance of overall sense. It genuinely was a great concept and story, especially with the original time it was made. The other endings would certainly be interesting to see too!
This is a game I don't think I've seen before, some games in the early 2000s were a hard to come by where I live at the time. It's interesting to watch, I would play it if it was remastered and ported on newer consoles from PS2. The cats are one of the best part of this video.
Well there was technically a rerelease... on the PlayStation Portable XD It's effectively the same game with a few more NPCs and redone voice acting (Yuri Lowenthal as Eike, as was the style at the time).
The whole scenario with the statue is funny as hell. A stranger in weird clothes shows up and tells you to make a statue instead of planting a tree, so you just make the statue of him? After seeing him for a minute? And no one reacts to this during the whole lengthy process of making a statue? It's freaking great.
I remember reading about this game in some video games magazine when I was 10. I've forgotten about it since then. Thank you for letting me experience it after all this years, Minx!
Wonderful play through. You found a good walkthrough that helped you through the game without absolutely spoiling it so we could enjoy its twists together. This was a blast
I played this on the PSP port ages ago. I remember getting some of the scenes you saw, but never this ending. I think I got frustrated and lost interest after spending a week sans internet, thus no game guide access. I collected a lot of scenes (like where the Scribner's Egg came from, and getting it to Eike from masked Eike), and deaths (I have a distinct memory of avoiding another death plot, then the dingus sat in the middle of a crossroads, and Murphy's Law took over, and splat went the Eike), before I gave up. I did, however, get at least one very different ending (Ending D, I think), which showed what happened to Dr. Wagner, and where Eike comes from. Spoiler below: In the experiment, Homunculus is freed and, in the process, Dr. Wagner is rejuvenated, but loses his memories and identity. I don't exactly remember why Homunculus sent him to the present day, but, tada, Dr. Wagner became Eike. Hence, why Homunculus couldn't call up his spirit, because he's still alive, as Eike. Regardless, good job on getting the true end, especially in a game with no fast travel and a LOT of running back and forth.
huh. francesca sure caught up with the times real fast. I guess they kind of explained what happened because both she and her dad had that psychic remnants from the comb?
I never heard of this game before so I had no expectations going in but I gotta say.. this has to be one of the craziest games I've ever seen, but also one of the funnest. The horrible animation and voice acting was endearing by the halfway point, and the clever time travel connections and results were genuinely cool and entertaining. The way the story pieced together and connected all the times you traveled was actually quite fun and well done! There are definitely some confusing parts... like how did the stone end up with Dana in the cafe to begin with? Did Homunculus leave it with her on purpose? Why did he choose Eike to folly Hugo to begin with? Idk but it really was a ridiculous and fun game. I would LOVE to see more playthroughs and endings, the full picture would actually be fun to see. But yeah shockingly what a great hidden gem, so fuckin weird in the best way
I was just thinking of playing this myself about a month back, so happy to see you playing it!! I don't know much about it but I love the PS2 aesthetic and premise... can't wait to watch!
This was a great game, and I'm honestly wanting to play it myself to get all the endings. I'm actually sad that Homunculus died at the end. I liked him.
@19:29: So apparently the wannabe assassin's plan to walk up and stab his victim to death in broad daylight in the middle of the town square didn't work out. Who could have guessed?
1:01:56 Okay, who was gonna tell me the androgynous twink was voiced by CHARLES MARTINET? Parthunax? SUPER MARIO??? (He does give me gender envy though, I will give him that.)
Nah I have to know if there are other places that the devil has been referred to as "The Big S" BC THATS SO FUNNY AND INSANE IVE NEVER HEARD THAT BEFORE 😭😭😭 THE BIG S??? THE BIG S ????????? WHO WROTE THAT?? DO PEOPE ACTUALLY SAY THAT I CANT DJDN
Wow that intro aesthetic was old metal gear style Whoa sure is a nice waitress. returnign a literal jewel worth a ton. I thought it in the cafe when that weirdo with the sgetti stood up.. but i'm feeling like the murderer is just her obsesed fan. Ch 3's demigod body form was kind of hot.a

This video has been approved by the local evil clowns association.
Hope I don't blow your mind when I say that Homunculu's voice actor is Mario. (No seriously, that's MARIO!)
This game is a serious trip and the voice acting is classic PS2 era, i.e. with the weird dream-like disconnect and dispassion
I'm still having a hard time connecting the fact that the Homunculus is voiced by Charles Martinet. The longtime voice of Mario, Luigi and so very many more. Just, imagine that soft spoken gothy yaoi bait boy going "LET'S A-GO!"
Very cool
Looks great 🎉
I remember begging for this game and pouting when I couldn't get it. It always looked pretty cool!
I loved this game as a teen, I can't wait to watch this through and see what ending you get!
What a strange, strange game! I am not sure I understood what really happened at the end but tht didn't ruin it or anything
I remember watching the trailer for this game over and over on the bonus dvd disc that came the Silent Hill 2 collector's edition. I still wanna give it a go.
If I could go back in time I'd stop myself from watching a "film" called deadgirl.
Oh....oh I'd locked that away. Ugh, I'm gonna go pet my cats and work on shoving the memory of that piece of crap even further down.
@@Zombemifirst time I'd ever snapped a dvd in half and tossed it in the trash.

I remember playing this a million years ago! Gosh, the nostalgia...
This is the video game equivalent of a Neil Breen movie, and I'm here for it.
I love this game so much 😭 this is such a massive flashback for me, i played it through over and over so many times to get all the endings ;;;;

I absolutely would love to see the alternate routes! I love your content, Minx.

I love watching old games like this, I’d never even know to look for or play them myself if not for your videos

2:43:40 He kinds of looks like Saddlar from RE4 a bit?

Classic Konami games are pretty dope for the most part

Ending D is my favourite but all the Epilogues/Endings at context to the overall story - Glad you had fun! 😃

This was a great game, and I'm honestly wanting to play it myself to get all the endings.
I'm actually sad that Homunculus died at the end. I liked him.
