I am really loving these two lesbian mommas' short and long plays. As a person who works in the translation biz - it is best practice to have a native speaker do the translation, then a non-native do the correction, and the native speaker do the final proof. But it gets pricey. And Chat GPT/Google Translate/etc machine translation usually needs two or three rounds of correction and another two rounds of proofreading with at least one final round of human review, but human translation/correct/proof (the most expensive sort) gets by on one round of each. Also, with games, the files that record the translations are broken up by level and scene and sometimes option, so it can be difficult to get them all translated at once, especially if they've done translation, then a release, then an update, then some translation, then a release, etc. BUT! The translation I have done above took ages - if you're doing it just with an AI you have to keep going back and forth so that the context is correct and you also have to understand how language works enough to know that the AI directly translating a sentence or line may not be correct because of the context of the rest of the story. I have gone with a light touch because I don't have days and I am not a professional, but hopefully it helps people 😊
As a Chinese person who lacks skills in their mother tongue. I can get behind listening to this in Chinese with English subtitles to refresh my brain and build up that skill again. Since I don't have much reason or opportunities to really do it often 😂

I'm not that far into this video yet, but I'd love to see a game that actually did something with a character's hands. They could have their nails done, rings, bracelets, tattoos, scars... You can tell a lot about a person just by looking at their hands. Seems like a waste when they're usually the only body part of the character as get to see.
The game definitely had some interesting ideas, a novel storyline for one. But, yeah, having important sections of the game completely untranslated (especially the ending, the payoff!) is unacceptable for a game marked as "translated." I know it's a complex task, but, really, if you want to open your game to other audiences that use a different language, get it fully translated!
A little late, so irrelevant, but comments help boost your videos so I might as well comment anyway. Next time they have things like the flute puzzle where it's stupid and doesn't stay, write down the symbols, and tape the paper on the edge of your monitor. That should help a lot.
Ooof. Yeah this was alright, would be good if I knew more of what was being said. Especially when y'all said it was marketed as translated and even patched. Can't forget the most important things when translating. That certainly frustrating.

I hate to say anything remotely critical of this channel, but sometimes I dislike the video titles. Like this one. I almost didn't watch it because I'm not interested in SCP games, but I got bored and clicked anyway and now I'm not seeing what's so SCP about it.... except now I'm thinking the title is a spoiler. Other times you've got titles that compare the game in question to Silent Hill or somesuch and that tends to have the same problem: either I don't want to watch because it being like Silent Hill sounds boring, or I don't wanna watch because I think that comparison being in the title has already spoiled the scares or a major twist.
