  • Wondering how this stuff moves? Color combinations? Here's a few. The base coat is "Obsidian Silver", a metallic gun metal epoxy base, with 4 different metallic effects laid over the top. "Storm Cloud" a lighter more pure silver, "House of smoke" a more deep bronze, "Throwing Copper" a metallic copper, and finally the "Obsidian Silver" effect used over over itself.

    The stuff you sprinkle on, is it epoxy with solvent or something else entirely?

    Epoxy on epoxy only? Additional acetone? Very nice- My epoxy seems to be much thicker than your "forkfulls" I'm going to leave some of my additions alone. Thanx.

    How we can make or create this effect (like cloud effect) in metallic epoxy? (Could you suggest any chemical for this effect?)

    I like the look but I wonder how you have time to do the effect color on something the size of a 2+ car garage floor before things set up?Also,I guess you'd have to walk on the base color while still wet to add the effects?Please explain.

      you wear plates that clip on your shoes that have spikes that point down. You can walk on it while the base is down. I did a 800 sq ft garage. Came out crazy. must be one of my videos

      Bowtie41 , with your gloves on, in addition to the last comment, you can use a brush and sprinkle everywhere or... What I do is just put my hands in the can of mixture and sprinkle, flick etc...

    If I hear the sound of a plastic fork in a plastic cup for another second im going to scream. I wish you would have measured out enough material for 12 sq. ft., It would have shaved 10 minutes of dead time off the video. Then the climax.....5 minutes of dead time watching epoxy dry. I feel it could have been shortened to 2:45 total time. It was informative though-thank you. I'm pretty sure Ladislav down there felt the same way

      +FauxPaul There is a mute button.
      Now, also, there is a speed option. But this comment was made a year ago, and the speed option didn't exist. So there was a thing called "skipping".
      And this video was made just to simply show how these beautiful peices of art are made. It doesn't have to be cut, and it doesn't have to be faster. It's perfect just how it is.
      A person takes his time to show, inform and answer the people around the world who are wondering how these things are made. He even gives us the names of everything. You do thank him for that, but I don't like seeing 6/8 of a comment just complaints, then another 1/8 is a thank you. It's just bullshit when people do that.

      put down a vapour barrier primer, but if the bubbles happen just sand them out and apply another top coat layer. you could use heat gun too i get but that going to be time consuming.

      Jody Ramsay you pop the bubbles with a heat gun or propane torch. The heat eats up the oxygen and draws it out of the bubbles. It’s really simple and very quick.

    Title of the video couldn't be more misleading. I thought this was about testing durability. After much too long watching it, looks to me like just another how to put down video instead....big disappointment.
