This track is just amazing. Michiru Yamane truly created an epic soundtrack for this game. It's too bad she left Konami. I will miss her amazing music.
I'M SORRY BUT THIS CONSTITUTES AN ALL-CAPS I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THIS GORGEOUS SONG FOR ALMOST A DECADE. I'VE FINALLY, AT THE AGE OF 23, FOUND INNER PEACE.
Karl Hans The thing is I knew it was a song from a castlevania game, but I was convinced it was from castlevania 64 for some dumb reason so of course I never found it. Then I heard this song again used in a youtube video over a call of duty gameplay, and it revitalized my search. 10 years. I have it downloaded now, I listen to it regularly. Happiness.
@@BlueSavior25 glad you observed it. This melody can be heard in most castlevania music of you observe correctly. (Personally, whenever it's castlevania, this melody comes in my mind🥰). How pleasing to hear...

Loved this game when I picked it up for $10 at GameStop more than 15 years ago, and I still love it to this day...and still own that same copy, and same PS2!
this is one of miss michiru most sacred songs ever composed.. it will be an epic divine legendary duo to see Oscar araujo & michiru Yamane infusing their talents into 1 song
This is my favorite music track ever used in a video game. It's spiritually uplifting and makes me feel like I'm empowered in conquering my goals on every listen.
Robert McGinty EXACTLY !!! playing this first level at night (2 am) especially the subterranean floor and the hall full of blood fog before the boss... damn that was scary !!!
Whatever else you might think of the game, this theme is genius. It is used for the first section, and it sets the right tone for the rest of the game. I will be listening to this decades after I completed the game 100%.
This game was a classic to me, I remember coming home from a Walmart my Popps bought this game took it home he started playing and I watched boy was it awesome so much fun roaming the castle in Castlevania exploring different dungeons and scary enemies. Loads of fun very nostalgic I miss when Castlevania went into itself pretty deep like this in a combat style similar to that of dmc but with a bit of rpg systems in place, still nice game this and Maximo were my fav ps2 games man good old days
This may sound weird to some, but it is thanks to this game, that I was first introduced to the Castlevania franchise, so I owe a lot to this game. For the nay sayers, it's a pretty cool 3D game, better than the 64 games at least, though they're not bad either. Kudos to Konami one of the best Vampire slayer series of all time. No offense to other Vampire Slayer-ish series like Legacy of Kain, Bloodrayne, DMC etc. but I have a soft spot for Castlevania. Great games and awesome music, nuff said.
Such a great underrated game with a fantastic soundtrack to back up my claim... this is a hidden gem among good Castlevania games it's an instant classic
Tão épico, digamos assim, hein? É como se a música te mergulhasse de cabeça num mundo aterrador, sombrio e medieval cheio de ruínas e mistérios pela Europa...Demais!

I know I'll probably get a lot of heat for saying this...but Castlevania LOI has the best soundtrack of any of the castlevania games...period! great music!
I remember playing the level and being a bit irritated as to the tame music. And when the music hit the 1:30 minute mark it really surprised me. Didn't expect THAT coming after the long intro ^-^
They both are amazing composers, they bring the games they work on to a whole other in areas the game itself could not. They both are godly in their own way. You can't compare two geniuses in different fields, it's just not right. :I
One of possibly the most underrated games in the Castlevania series - or the least played. And this track sticks out like a sore thumb as it's the first actual theme you hear outside of the cutscenes and the menu screen.
The song is unqiue because its almost like its telling a story as it plays and its mixed with horrors.......monsters.........whips...........clans......religion........sorrow............innocence........holiness.........unholiness........and most of all, god damn vampires.
You guys saying this is not Castlevaina and comparing it God of War is kinda silly. You do realize this game was out almost 3 years before GoW right? If anything they used it as a template.

@purpleblizzard Naw, it's mostly just demons of various types. Like I said, Nevan is the closest thing to a vampire but the jury's out on her. She acts kind of like one and does have an attack where she'll try to bite your neck in the fight, but other than that and the fact that she sicks bats on you there's not really a lot of lean to her being an actual vampire. But if you get a chance to at least play the first and third you should, they're easily the two best of the series.
every other comparison aside, lament of innocence had better ambiance than curse of darkness. shit was far more dark and ominous. both are fantastic though.
Me: Okay, I was told the 3D Castlevanias were not that great. I may as well try Lament of Innocence.... *Hearing this theme as the first level* Me: EXCUSE ME?! CASTLEVANIA DEVIL MAY CRY? HOW IS THIS BAD AGAIN?!

the game's music is so powerful, that, not lying, by brother was haunted by it in his sleep for a couple of weeks
