    Written Patten:
    Materials Needed
    Dish Towel
    Crochet hook (4.00 mm or 4.25 mm)
    Yarn Needle
    Stitch marker
    Scissors
    Yarn (Sport Weight or 4 weight Cotton Yarn)
    LEGEND:
    DC =Double Crochet
    CH = Chain
    DCDEC = Double Crochet Decrease
    SK = Skip
    ST = Stitch
    SL ST = Slip Stitch
    ROW 1:
    Cut about 4 foot of yarn off Skein.
    Thread needle
    Insert needle between layers on right side of towels bring through 1/4th of an inch inward and 1/8th of an inch from the top, tie off and tuck tail into inner crease of the towel. (will sew around tail to secure.)
    Take needle and insert needle from front to back while bringing needle through loop on top all the way across 1/4th of an inch apart and 1/8th of an inch from the top . (No set number)
    Once across, attach string to your skein again.
    ROW 2: Take your crochet hook and insert hook into the front of the last loop and chain 2 (Counts as ST here and throughout)
    Turn work and DC in same CH, DC across. (Same number +1 as sewn stitches)
    CH 2, Turn, DCDEC in the next 2 ST Repeat ** 8 times, Count from other end 17 stitches and mark with stitch marker. Continue DC from original point to stitch marker (Remember # of DC), Repeat ** 8 more times, DC in top of last CH 2 ST. (Count will be 16 DCDEC, a DC on each end and no specific count on DC in middle)
    ROW 3: CH 2, Turn work, DCDEC in next 2 ST Repeat **4 times, DC in same amount of Stitches as last row. Repeat ** 4 more times, DC in top of last CH 2 ST. (Count will be 8 DCDEC, a DC on each end, and same count of DC as previous row)
    ROW 4: CH 2, Turn work, DCDEC in next 2 ST Repeat **2 times, DC in same amount of Stitches as last row. Repeat ** more times, DC in top of last CH 2 ST. (Count will be 4 DCDEC, a DC on each end, and same count of DC as previous row)
    ROW 5: CH 2, Turn work, DCDEC in next 2 ST, DC in same amount of Stitches as last row. DCDEC in next 2 ST, DC in top of last CH 2 ST. (Count will be 2 DCDEC, a DC on each end, and same count of DC as previous row)
    ROW 6- ?: Repeat ROW 5 until your top stitch count is either 10 or 11.
    Once you reach 10 or 11 Stiches across, Continue to CH2 and DC across until you have 11 ROWS.
    ROW 12: CH 2, Turn work, DC in next 2 ST, DCDEC in next 2 ST, CH 2, DCDEC in next 2 ST, DC in next 2 ST, DC in top of CH 2 ST. (Count 6 DC, 2 DCDEC, 2 CH)
    ROW 13: SK 2 ST, 3 DC in next ST, DC in next 2 CHs, 3 DC in next ST, SK 2 ST, SL ST in top of last CH 2 ST. Cut yarn and weave in ends.
    Sew on button of choice in joining sp between rows 3 and 4. (Choose a button about double the size of the hole.)
