My life coach 5 years ago used a wheel like this to create a vision statement for me. It was powerful the way he used the wheel to personalize the vision of where I wanted to be in the future. I cried when he read it to me because it was the first time my dreams had ever been vocalized by someone else.
I will use the wheel of life to empower other human beings to gain further clarity on their "why" and as a "north star" to define the destination they are living towards. In doing so I am going to pass along and honor your generosity in helping us all discover our best version of ourselves!
I use the Wheel of Life a lot and I've even held a Wheel of Life workshop at the beginning of the year to help people assess where they are and where they would like to go for the year. It's a great tool to help people reflect.
I am so glad to find this video. I coach women in groups on one thing- one transformation. We provide a safe, confidential container for women that are post abortive, domestic violence, sexual trauma, rejection. They are excelling in all areas of life with the exception of that one thing. I love that I can make the categories whatever I need them to be for my client. This will greatly aid me in an overall perspective on each client and where they each need to focus. Thanks for being so transparent and easy to follow your instructions. I know you must be a great coach!
What a powerful mission, Denita! We're so happy this video could provide one more tool for you to create those powerful transformations. Thanks so much for sharing ❤❤

I am using wheel of life and its amazing how we are zeroing in areas the client never thought needed attention thanks Ajit your guideline always very useful, helps move forward.
I think your explanation was spot on! I have been looking for a tool to help with pre-Vision board work. I think this is the perfect primer to develop a vision board with activities/actions that would move the wheel towards balance. I will use this with my teenagers and the do a vision board exercise after to put more focus on the actions. I still believe that a discussion on a realistic measure of satisfaction vs. do you have it "all" at full 10's (not realistic) is necessary. Much gratitude to you!
I love this tool and what to use this Wheel of life early in a coaching relationship to really give me a good idea of the order to work on things by the client's priorities and not my own pre-determined course of action.
Love this! I'm a nurse training to become a certified holistic coach. Just started and I'm overwhelmed. I will be trying this with my practice clients.
Welcome to the coaching community! There's so much content around coaching and so much to do, it might feel overwhelming. Just remember to take it one step at a time and enjoy the process, there will always be more to learn and room to grow! Thanks for sharing ❤
I like to ask the client to rank on a scale of 0-10 how much time they spend on each section (time, as in physical or actual action), how important it is to them, and how much emotional energy they expend on it. The time and importance ranks can show up discords, in that maybe a client is spending more time on things that aren't so important and less on things that are. The actual time and emotional energy ranks can show if a person is procrastinating. So, if they expend a lot of emotional energy but little actual time on it, it could be they're merely daydreaming and need to plan some action steps. Emotional energy can be negative or positive energy.
Those are great additions to this tool! Definitely great information for both the client and the coach in understanding what they really want and need. Thanks for sharing ❤
Finally found life coaching after years of living in emotional pain, hopelessness, and trauma. This is just what I needed to help me heal. I can't wait to learn and implement this knowledge.
I use the wheel of life usually for onboarding unless the issue behind what the client came for, is obvious before I get to the wheel. Then I use it in one of the next few sessions. Love the tool!
I have used it and had great results. A manager came to me depressed about the stagnant career path. When we used the tool, we realized that career growth was a victim of some life accounts that were not progressing. Through coaching sessions, they took up a challenge to apply for the director position and are one of the most performing directors in the company. Your video is very engaging and full of new insights. Thank you
During a CLC peer coaching a friend of mine pulled up a digital version of the wheel of life and mentioned he had screen shared it and worked on it during a coaching session with a coachee. Seems like an amazing bonus add on to a discovery call! The coachee gets some solid feedback on their goals and a sheet they can print out, they get a mini-demo of coaching in action, and it's a super gentle rapport building exercise!
What a great idea, Kristina! This tool is definitely a great starting point with new clients or potential clients to bring clarity on what they want to achieve. Thanks for sharing ❤

I like the "Wheel of Life" concept. It is a great way to break down different areas of one's life and be able to work on each category and avoid being overwhelmed. While watching the video, I started thinking of different areas of my life which needs work, but there was always something else taking priority. Now I can utilize each category to create measurable and achievable goals.👏

Wheel of Life is part of my first or second session with my clients. It helps to set the Agenda for our coaching experience and where we're going to focus during the process.
How can you use the wheel of life in decision making? Well I feel the wheel of life is a great idea to employ when your client isn’t sure of the topic to discuss during your coaching session. Again one seek to make a better decision if he’s stuck in a certain area thus, implying that the have the topics of discussion.... Explain to me your point kindly
My takeaway today on the Wheel of Life tool is that I can use it to be aware of my 'magic spot' in coaching, and use it to qualify clients. For instance, I have resisted coaching as a career/contribution because I'm worried about getting too close to people who are too low in certain categories - while I can be very patient, as a high energy person I don't want to - nor am I of service - to those who are too low in any category. I envision this being a critical tool leading me to thinking, action, and ultimately a good client/coach fit. Thank you!
I got a few certificate previously, been cleaning but started to feel undervalued, still doing some cleaning, but re-connecting with the coaching world, thanks
Very clear and thorough explanation of how to use the WOL tool. Thank you Ajit! Something that can be powerful to do as well is to ask the client what they learned about themselves during the exercise. Just as the tool brings awareness to areas of life where we can improve, it also can bring awareness to aspects of our selves and our thinking.
After trying this tool out for myself, I am excited to use it in a coaching session when I get a chance. I think it could be overwhelming for some clients. If they are already beating themselves up for not achieving their desired goals in a certain area, trying to bring 10 areas of their life into greater focus may feel daunting. However, I think it can also add clarity on how the areas relate to one another and also provide encouragement for recognizing areas in which they are winning!
Great insight! And yes, although it might seem daunting at first, the key is for them to have the self-awareness and to identify the biggest gaps they have as a starting point. It helps with clarity and focus. Thanks for sharing :)
The will of life is a clear direction to review our purpose in life, the focus and energy invested on each one of the areas, that way we can identify the needs and gaps in order to create a balance that fulfill our own expectations as a human being, as well as a direction to guide someone as a coach.. Thank you Ajit for sharing your thoughts on it.
Great presentation on the WoL. I’d use it in my first coaching session to assess the client’s priority and what i shoukd help to focus attention on first moving forward. Thank you so much, Coach Ajit.🎉
Brilliant, Ajit. Simple and nice. Intuitively, I have had a sense of measuring my life on these spokes although not in a formal, obvious sense. Really helps. Wonder if these categories could be fewer so as to manage them with focus.

Loved it totally Ajit. Your contents are so awesomely done & your presentation makes them all the more easy and precise to understand!!very very helpful & I shall for sure use it now!!! Many thanks
Thank you very much this is a big ammunition for my new coaching career, I'll use it on myself first. So I can be spot on when I start using it on my potential client..
I will use this tool firstable with myself and identify and what different option I should to improve and after share my knowledge and my experiences with my clients
This is great, Yahir! It's always great to try coaching tools on ourselves first to make it easier to navigate the tool with our clients. Thanks for sharing ❤
Although, i am new to this system. But i think, using the wheel of life can really help me to identify the major problems that is holding my clients from moving forward, and the wheel of life will point out where the clients need to focus and make improvement. Using the wheel of life can also help the coach to predict someone future base on where they focus their energy on. They wheel of life is a great tool to me, i don't know about you.
I have a new client that base don the limited she indicated when booking, her self esteem is not so high and she do not have a clue about life. This wheel of life would be a nice exercise to do with her during session, different way then i am accustomed of doing, but seem like more fun to do. Where she can reflect on her own life and realize some things. Thank you for it
I use it with all my client's and friend, as they come with a specific, Issue and I let them share that thereafter I do the wheel of life and immediately they can see what really a problem is something else from a totally l different area of their life. You can see their faces light up like a "deer in the headlights."
Thank you Ajit for a wonderful video. I would use it to help my clients get a holistic view of aspects of life and how they are correlated. This will help them identify their real focus areas and real coaching needs. They may be thinking the business isn't going good and they need to put more efforts there however, it may be that their relationships need to be improved for them to allow focus on doing better on other fronts.
Alhamdulilah this was great! Becoming a life coach and having my business running is my goal within the next year or two. Insha'Allah. Thank you so much for this tool. I will use for myself an my future clients God Willing. SUBSCRIBING!!
I only use this tool for clients who aren't sure about where to begin. However with most clients they already have goals in mind so I use this tool to talk about how the goal will impact all areas of their life.
I would like to use it on myself so that I can work on what matters to me and I would be able to help others use it too because I would have more personal experience with it.

Brilliant, Ajit. Simple and nice. Intuitively, I have had a sense of measuring my life on these spokes although not in a formal, obvious sense. Really helps. Wonder if these categories could be fewer so as to manage them with focus.
it can be less. It depends on what is priority and important. you can also possibly pick the categories based on your area of coaching

That is awesome. Wheel of life helps with life coaching very well

Amazing reflection, Susneha! Definitely a great tool for that. Thanks for sharing ❤
