This Regiment has so many gallant heros. Major M Saravanan Vir Chakra hailed from Trichy Tamil Nadu and Galwan hero Colonel Santhosh Babu from Andhrapradesh..
One more thing epic should added is how 2nd Bihar unit saved the lives of People during partition. 2nd Bihar unit was deployed to ensure safe journey of people from both side during partition. A group of heavily armed rebellions attacked the train while it's way . Displaying unmatchable courage 35 Jawans from 2nd bihar fought with around 150+ armed rebelions who's intention was to kill all hindu passengers . Despite outnumbered and lack of ammunition. Jawans fought with bare hands and killed most of them . They fought for 7 hours and also called for reinforcement from nearby pakistani Army small base but it couldn't happen All 35 jawans were killed in Action and only then Those rebellion took over the train. One thing i would like to mention that Some where we forgot Batalik sector in 99 war. It was one of most isolated area that time and Bihar regiment operation were also shadowed. I wish This sector will get more recognition like Drass & kargil 🙌

Bihar regiment was most trusted regiment of Britishers until they did 1857 mutiny and burned several Britishers and their families alive. Bihar regiment was scrapped very same time and Sikh regiment with regular British army was used by Britishers to crush the 1857 mutiny. We glorify the Sikh regiment but fact is that they were most loyal to Britishers. It took death of Lala Lajpat Rai and Jalianwala to awaken the conscience of Sikhs to fight for India…hardly 20 meters away was Golden temple from Jalianwala but they never came to help the dying people. Bihar regiment is pride the real pride of India which started actually independence of India.
India's National emblem is also given by a Bihari 🇮🇳 Bihar is always completely devoted for his Country despite of trollings & abuses in its own country.
