Would love an entire dissection series to understand your process begins each category. I think energy is a tough one to crack. I have so many different 'vibes' so styling can get confusing

Yes! Been there! I’ve tried silhouettes that I’ve seen on others but they don’t hit the same & it’s because there’s other outfit silhouettes better suited to my curves to enhance my specific body type

i love the conversation of silhouette because as someone tall, short waisted, and curvy sometimes i like to elongate my body and sometimes i like to exaggerate the parts of myself that are already out of proportion, i feel like it’s very avant-garde and fun! but sometimes i wanna feel more sleek and modest or demure. fashion is just so fun and versatile i love it!!!

More dissections, please! I love hyper-analyzing and recognizing patterns in things! Constantly trying to find what my style is and what pieces are gonna be forever/long term (2+ years) pieces (if that’s even a thing at this point).
It absolutely is a thing! I still have pieces from over 5 years ago in my wardrobe & still don’t intend on selling them. For this video I had to do exactly that, recognize the patterns in my outfits to communicate these ideas to you guys. So you might already have the answers in outfits you frequently wear to direct you 🫶🏻

love this!! as someone who's short with curves and the same bust size as you, this really speaks to me. It's hard to find good advice online for our body type; most fashion content I see is for a very specific body type and it's discouraging to try and fit that but end up failing cuz it's not designed and targeted at big bittied girlies

💯% agree that narrowing down your preferences is much more effective tool to dressing better than just having no rules and wearing “whatever.” Like, that’s TRUE, but I also feel like people say that because they don’t know themselves. They fear that having guidelines will limit them creatively when it’s actually veeerry much the opposite! I look better, feel more confident, am less stressed & have more $$$ because I am intentionally picky about what I choose to bring in my closet.
Yes!!!! I’m sooo picky about what I buy now, my closet is much smaller but I’m much more confident overall. It’s just about choosing a palette. But if you have every single shade & tone in ur palette then it’s overwhelming & you lose track of the vibe hahah

Thank you 💞 this is my thought process how I dress as well! Getting the cut and fit that compliments my body has changed the game when shopping. I immediately know what will look good before trying it on. I think mostly only shopping helped with cultivating this skill lol. I'm a silhouette girl 🖤

This is so helpful! I’m a fellow large bust, small waist girl I’m 5’8, 34DDD, 28” waist 42” hips and finding silhouettes that work to define the waist in between curves has been such a struggle! I’d love to hear anymore tips you have on styling with a larger bust, I get frustrated with it so easily but your silhouette explanation was suuuuper helpful!! Do you wear strapless bras? If so I’d love to know where they’re from!
Yes! It’s sooo difficult mainly bc tops that are truly flattering for bigger busts are hard to find. I love corsets for that reason, they are adjustable but fancy! Find some vintage ones online! & I never wear strapless bras, instead I’ll wear a nude bralette
@AlliVera Do you size up when buying something oversized? Because when I buy something oversized that comes in small I feel like it looks awkward because my boobs are still there. But I also worry if I get one too oversized it'll drown my legs. Wdyt?

This video is perfect for me bc I basically have the exact same body/height as you except I'm one cup size smaller! I basically wear the exact same bottoms and shoes mentioned in this video. Trying to be more comfortable about having a bigger bust so I still wear a lot of baggy tees on days where I do not want to be perceived. This vid was perfect!!
I agree with all of this - very true how different pieces of clothing, styles, shapes etc - look different on the body types. Good to take notes so you’re somewhat organized when you are shopping. Good advice Alli

i feel like the length looks best because it makes your legs longer, either you have something really short and your legs just look long otherwise something really long so they’re elongated

I love dissecting fashion and we have the same issue, I break up my chest with low cut tops but I use camis to cover my cleavage, it still works to break up the big boobs. I need to try pointy shoes

Interesting analysis! May I add some thoughts? You seem to be a beautiful inverted triangle, and that may play in why you like high necklines (on halter tops or on _close fitting garments_, showing off shoulders). Re: halter tops: what you are describing is the difference between well cut pieces which will bring attention to your lovely shoulders, and badly cut cheaper halter tops which will bring attention to the boobs. The black boat neck doesn't work because while it's slim, it's not close fitting. The burgundy jacket: was too big. It was meant to be a close fitting, small jacket on someone larger. How can I tell? Look at the shoulder placement. And the arms. And the overall length.
