As a new believer coming to the church, I questioned Jesus Yeshua about the meaning of the baskets being passed around…. His answer to me was: “every time they pass basket, put $10 in”… out of obedience that’s what I did for next 6 years in that church…. As I began reading the Bible, it became very clear that the tithes were to be “foods” for the “Levites” who were in charge of the Temple of יהוה … they owned no property and were to be supported by the Nation of Israel! @@iThinkBiblically I hope I'm responding in the right way that you'll see my question. I really like this teaching and you point out some things I ignored and some things I didn't know My question follows. Since the first church met in people's homes, do you think that was God's plan for that to continue strictly that way for the next two thousand years? Was that the way that God intended for the Great Commission to be fulfilled, was for home churches to Simply multiply and expand around the world? If that is true then it would seem that all churches that meet in buildings of any denomination no matter what they teach are apostate and are not really following the word of God What do you think? This is really good teaching Caleb. Amazing when someone highlights the context of the verse. I’m amazed that some churches use some of those verses for tithing. It’s ridiculous. A few thoughts to add… Paul does communicate that as a worker he is entitled to material support as a rightful claim in 1 Cor 9:8-14. See v14 in particular. Yet Paul chose to lay down his rights here. Paul did receive material support from churches for his proclamation of the gospel, on occasions. But it appears that he never received such support from Christians in the immediate area where he was preaching at any given time (today’s “love offering”). It appears that the reason why Paul forsook his rights at times was because there were other false preachers and speakers who were seeking fame and fortune for their efforts. To distinguish himself from such preachers, Paul laid down his right to provision. Although those who proclaim the gospel did have rights to material provision, Paul’s example is a good reminder that Christian should work hard rather than fall back on the support of the “church.”

Richard is the one who started Voice of the Martyrs, but that is now run as a "business", sadly. They kicked his son Michael off the Board of Directors because he wanted an independent investigation/audit of the charity his father started! Thank you so much for this video! I struggled a lot when it came to tithing and my reluctance to participate. My family is always going through financial difficulties and I used to feel responsible for making sure we didn't end up in the streets despite earning less then minimal wage. It would always hurt me beyond words when I would watch my mum 'tithe' at church in order to contribute to remodeling the church. I knew she truly had no money to give and that after church she would ask me for help to pay an upcoming bill. The tithing system is one of the reasons I left my childhood church. I would say to myself, 'surely, the Lord would much prefer my mum spend her last penny on making sure my sisters had food for lunch and that the electricity bill was paid. Surely, God would prefer she spent her money on relieving the financial pressure off her teenage daughter.' I went to a different church and felt extremely manipulated to tithe from the way they would ask those that tithed to stand up and be blessed, scripture references and how they introduced tithing before and after a sermon. Thank you for making this video because I truly felt guilty for not tithing at church and preferring to help my immediate family instead.

A local pastor recently literally said, “if you have been driving around in an old rusted out truck and you can see through the floor to the road beneath, and you think ‘now is the year! Now I will finally buy myself a new car!’ You need to know that old truck isn’t even yours. Nothing is yours. That money isn’t yours.” This was during a fundraising event for the Church to buy a new building. It should also be noted that this particular church has had money go missing through theft and even had building fund money get mysteriously disappeared.
Cannot serve God and Mammon/ money. Sadly, the leadership of these churches serve money whilst masquerading as servants of righteousness. If only the church knew the word they profess to believe. Keep up the good work brother. May God bless you.
Very good lesson. I have felt this way for a long time but have been brainwashed since childhood. I’m 63. I do give to the church but only what I feel like giving now. I realize they need money for expenses. The more I think about it the more I’m thinking a home church would be best for us. How to find one I don’t know. Baptist churches really are hung up on tithing. My sister attended a church years ago and the pastor taught on tithing and then passed out an entire years worth of tithing envelops to each adult in the congregation which humiliated her because she had no income to tithe on. Her husband wasn’t a Christian and she didn’t feel she had a right to tithe off of his. The more I learn the angrier I get at all the false teaching in almost any church I could walk into in our area. Thank you again.

Thank you for boldness and a berean approach to reading scriptures in context. After manyp years of being under this teaching which has sadly effected many lives in the Body I am grateful to the Lord for Godly response you have given. the Lord is cleaning His house out as He will return to a spotless Bride. Just one query though. In context again I believe Brethren is to do with believers in Christ? The Lord was obviously equipping His disciples the responsibility in looking after the sheep which was opposite to what the Pharisees were doing at the time.
You are so absolutely right, I have been teaching what the Bible actually says about GIVING for years, primary Biblical reason for giving,is for the THOSE in NEED.
It is the same these days with others religion organisations. They use all kinds of excuses and urge others to give and say it was investment for the life after. In the end the money disappeared into a 'compartment' in their own money box. All kinds of groups can be seen these days using the sympathy of the public. The best is buy foods and give to them thru trust worthy organisations.
Caleb, Your heart and love for God's children is so obvious and Tenacious. You remind me of a TV person who is sending out serious facts about a harmful situation that is hurting many people. I beleive God has chosen you for such a time as this, and also several other GOOD Watchmen On The Wall. I know God has Special Crowns for men who are faithfully doing this now. I thank God for all of you.
I have learned SO much from your channel thank you!!!!!!!!!!!! Im concerned about people giving Tithe to a church BLINDLY! this is wicked in my eyes Bless those that have ears to hear and eyes to see! Thank you for this channel! and Video!
This is a perfect explanation of the verse as for as tithing. You had explained this highly debate topic with so much thorough knowledge of the scriptures one can't debate you against the verses you had laid out. Thank you so much for Expertise
Your teachings r so uplifting there is still a big controversy about the rapture so many pastors says the rapture is after the tribulation would highly appreciate if you can give a teaching on the rapture before or after the tribulation thank you my friends family always come to me but one thing I can't talk about and that is the rapture
Read Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21. Pay close attention to verses 29-31 in Matthew and 24-27 in Mark. Verse 30 in Matthew lines up with Acts 1:9-11. These should answer your question. And no, this is not for Jews only, it is for disciples of Jesus. See also Galations 3:28.
I know you said it a little different but the connection you made between loving and giving to our enemies because we were enemies with God and He showed kindness and mercy to us , is a connection I would never have drawn on my own !! I love the way you interpret and present the Bible . You make me see things in ways I would otherwise not see it ! I thought we were to be good to our enemies solely to show love . May God bless your ministry !!
You are truly a blessing you are a truth speaker just taught a message on tithing The Lord told me a years ago it was false doctrine. Keep up the great work you are doing. Minister Eddie Belk
One of the well explained video Thank you so much brother I was looking for this topic for last 3 days and by god's grace i came across this video. Keep up the good work. God bless 🙏
Thank you for all your sharing and enlightening us regarding Giving. I too just want to give to those who are in need and want to do it directly. Ive not always been a good tither to my church. Sometimes i get bothered bec of those teaching, so i am kind of compelled to just give enough to pay for the aircon and lighting when i attend a service, LOL. Ive always thought that my pastor lives a so mich better life than me and live in a better house than me and travels overseas easily, unlike me
One of the things I have experienced frequently is the mentality that we must forgive for ourselves to keep from being bitter. But God says: Luke 17:3-4 "…3 Watch yourselves. If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. 4 Even if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times returns to say, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.” God commanded us to do no revenge and to be kind to everyone but that does not mean that we keep contact or stay friends with those who are not sorry for the way they act toward us. Forgiveness is for the purpose of reconciling the relationship, a relationship cannot be reconciled unless there is both "confession and forgiveness", two sides of the same coin, one cannot be without the other. Christ will not have a relationship with those who hate Him.
Excellent. I also heard them preach from 2 corinthians ch 8 v 9. For ye know the grace of our Lord jesus, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor that ye through his poverty might be rich. They deceive people with this scripture. 🍀🇮🇪🤗
I agree that church leaders in general use the money to enrich themselves. The church that I am a member isn't rich, our leaders aren't wealthy, some of the saints in our church earn a lot of money. Some give a small amount, some don't give any and some give a lot. We use the money to re-home the homeless, feed the poor and keep the building which supports the vulnerable in our society. I not being wealthy follow my belief that God has made me a great cook so I cook for the poorest in our community, the wealthy in the church make my cooking possible.
Now brothers and sisters this kind of Bible studys you don't hear it in the churches in these last days. Amen brother great Bible teaching may YHWH bless you. Shalom.
Look for Paul Washers testimony on how he believed the lord to provide without asking anyone for a single cent and that testimony is proof of just how marvelous the lord's ways are.
This is one of a few reasons I left my little local church.......they wanted tithing, then a second tithing for someone's traveling expenses, then a third tithing for something else.
Spot on in this video.... It is interesting that the same passages that these apostate churches use , are actually the very same ones that contradict these false teachings... In Malachi it was the priest who were stealing from God. And the same with Paul in the book of Acts giving us a direct as straightforward as it gets, example. when it is the last time your Pastor taught or preached on this : Acts 20:33-35 I HAVE COVETED NO MAN'S SILVER, OR GOLD, OR APPAREL. Yea, ye yourselves know, THAT THESE HANDS HAVE MINISTERED UNTO MY NECESSITIES, AND TO THEM THAT WERE WITH ME. I HAVE SHEWED YOU ALL THINGS, HOW THAT SO LABOURING YE OUGHT TO SUPPORT THE WEAK, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
it is sad to say that the majority of churches these days twist, skip or misunderstand the majority of scripture. They take the "sowing seed verse" and twist it to mean something it isn't.
@@iThinkBiblically please pray for me, I was so wrapped up with churches like these and I used to love Kenneth Copeland and all those pastors, it’s so confusing to me now bc when I was saved, I was filled with the Holy Spirit and heard Gods voice but I have fallen so deep into sin and I know that God is calling me back , I only will listen to your channel, the preacher that you have on here is amazing and I fill conviction and sorrow. Thank you for your insight into the scriptures. My question to you is this; We know from scripture that the Church/ekklesia are communities or local bodies of believers and in Hebrews 10, we are told not to forsake the gathering of ourselves. So, are we to still meet in houses today? Are we NOT to meet in buildings other than houses?
Hi bro, I think the focus of the church as portrayed in the early church was not the venue of meeting but the people who met. If we focus on venues we will end up constructing palatial buildings that cost hundreds of millions. This ends up drawing attention from the main aim of the gospel which is salvation through Jesus. A person should not be attracted to a church because it is wowing and has state of the art music equipment and is huge and comfortable. The person should be drawn to the church because it has sound doctrine based on the foundation of Godly love. That is why the early church held meetings in houses for all they were after was saving souls. That is true evangelism, being fishers of men
@@essaysamuel8136 Thank you for your response I really get what you are saying, but I was referring to [any] building (not necessarily Cathedrals) where the local community of believers meets. My question had more to do with the video saying that the scriptures did not indicate that it had anything to do with giving money to the church (i,e, for overhead costs, etc,.). I agree whole heartily that the Gospel and sound doctrine is supposed to be the focus. Our Church building where we meet is just a pole building... I am sure when we receive visitors, it's not the building that attracts them. 😉 That is why I was wondering if the UA-camr of the video thought we were to continue to meet in houses (like in the 1st century) or if it was OK to meet in a building where the members ["gave to the Church"] to help with the cost of paying our Pastors and any other overhead cost of running a ministry?
@@Curtlegger you are right....meeting in buildings should be ok, giving offerings to help in the pastor's upkeep is also ok.....the rest of what is given should maintain the church bills and reach out to the community starting with the church members themselves who are not capable
It helps to read the Bible in context, and ALL the verses contained there in. In the end, we must ALWAYS ask ourselves whether we are building God's kingdom, or our own.
Thank you so much and Godbless you more for your message me too has enlighten me about the giving thank God for your life keep it up the good work to the Lord
You forgot to mention Proverbs 3:9-10 whenever they prayed for first fruits offerings and tithes. That's was one of the reasons why I left my church cos they were still into tithing and first fruits theology. They had that Paula white mentality and so I left them for that.
Hello thank you for your videos.. I was following your Bible references .. at 9:48 you mentioned Nehemiah 23:5?? It got only 13 chapters.. did you meant to refer different verse or book?
Paul: give to someone who needs it as you have decided between you and God. Don’t promise something and then back out though. Don’t give in a way that hurts you. Church: give sacrificially. Give till it hurts. If you don’t have enough money to give us then cancel your Netflix subscription or get your finances in order.
What about the widows mite. Mark 12:41. I realize it is an offering for the temple to distribute as as she was most likely a recipient of the temples help being a poor widow…and Jesus commends her on her abundant giving. We too should also be giving even more than a tithe. Maybe not all to the church that we are fed by but how is the pastor and the building to be taken care of
Brother. Please read 2.Kor 3 and 1.Korinther 11. We as Men are not under law of Moses. So as we teach, we do not put headcoverings on our head, because we can see the mightyness of Christ. God bless from Germany.
Interesting enough, I knew you'd began with Malachi 3:10 bc my!!! My!!! My!!! Those pastor pimps have this one down to a science!!! Refer to Romans 10:4. Shalom.☺☺☺
I understand the teaching very well and thank the Lord for the vessel. But, if someone may help me answering these questions : 1) I usually give to the church. Should I stop giving to the church please? 2) Today, believers do not meet in homes. Churches need ressources to function. How therefore churches can function?
If the leadership decided to meet in a building then they should hear the cost and not burden the people. They can ask but they cannot require the people to give. If they made the silly decision to meet in a building they should be the ones to pay for it.
The word God is better than gold and silver. Preachers using the levitical priesthood law of God, to receive tithes and offerings, are a bunch of thieves. Thanks for all your videos of sound doctrine.

@@iThinkBiblically I've contacted Compassion (we have a sponsor child with them) I asked them if any of my sponsor money goes towards Hillsong , their response was that they set up at Hillsong conferences for exposure so part of my sponsor money goes towards hillsong for marketing , this is so frustrating to find out.
@@deej77 Yeah I know. Hillsong even charges compassion to be there... crazy!
Speak Truth My Brother!!!! Great delivery of HIS PRECIOUS WORD
This is the absolute truth that set people Free. Thanks for the insight.
You’re welcome bro
You are so absolutely right, I have been teaching what the Bible actually says about GIVING for years, primary Biblical reason for giving,is for the THOSE in NEED.
Good video brother. The pentecostal church loves to use malachi 3:8. I got tired of hearing it.
God bless you
Thanks bro :)
@Robert Emery I left that church in 2019.
Great teaching as always, good job bro!
Thank you for clarity!!
May the Father God bless you.
Thank you for this channel! and Video!
Totally agree ! Thanks for your vid ! Millions of Christian’s should know and understand this !
Good job on putting together an insightful pithy teaching in this subject.
One of the well explained video
Thank you so much brother
I was looking for this topic for last 3 days and by god's grace i came across this video.
Keep up the good work. God bless 🙏
Praise God !!
100% on point. Thank you.
But God says:
Luke 17:3-4 "…3 Watch yourselves. If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. 4 Even if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times returns to say, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.”
God commanded us to do no revenge and to be kind to everyone but that does not mean that we keep contact or stay friends with those who are not sorry for the way they act toward us.
Great explanation.
Thank you. That was well done.
Thanks mate :)
@@iThinkBiblically You are a huge blessing!
Yes yes and yes!!!! Great teaching!!!!
Excellent video.
U are right on I’ve said this fore years and I use the same exact verses
Now brothers and sisters this kind of Bible studys you don't hear it in the churches in these last days.
Amen brother great Bible teaching may YHWH bless you.

I agree with you and the history of the Holy Scriptures, my question is:
How are the established churches going to pay their Bills...🤔 ? 🤔....
That's what I worry about too.
Although I agree with him I just left a comment of what I think about giving.
Look for Paul Washers testimony on how he believed the lord to provide without asking anyone for a single cent and that testimony is proof of just how marvelous the lord's ways are.
Very well explained
This is one of a few reasons I left my little local church.......they wanted tithing, then a second tithing for someone's traveling expenses, then a third tithing for something else.
Hello! Thank you for all your research, I really appreciate it ! Could you do a video about Matt 17:24 - the temple tax?
Spot on in this video.... It is interesting that the same passages that these apostate churches use , are actually the very same ones that contradict these false teachings... In Malachi it was the priest who were stealing from God.
And the same with Paul in the book of Acts giving us a direct as straightforward as it gets, example. when it is the last time your Pastor taught or preached on this :
Acts 20:33-35
I HAVE COVETED NO MAN'S SILVER, OR GOLD, OR APPAREL.
Yeah, it’s amazing how it’s all right in front of everyone’s nose!
Good point about Malachi.
i have never studied this subject. this is alot different from everything i have been taught. this is eye opening, thank you.
Amen Brother! You are 100% right!
God our Father in heaven and our lord Farther Jesus-Christ bless you brother .
it is sad to say that the majority of churches these days twist, skip or misunderstand the majority of scripture. They take the "sowing seed verse" and twist it to mean something it isn't.
Startimg this video to come back to... sidebar: do you have any videos about prophecy?
WOW I HAVE BEEN SOOOOOOOOO DECEIVED!!!!! Are you KIDDING ME
That's what the bible says... No joke here :)
I want so badly to be where I once was with God. 😭 I believe and trust in him but I feel like a trader and it’s hard to forgive myself but I know that nothing is to hard for our Lord

Wonderful teaching Sir
My heart is bleeding how they distort these verses !
I'm gonna start attaching this link to every one of Robin Bullock's videos. :-D
I do some street performing and when I do my pitch for money I use the quote from Acts. I sacrifice my blessing so the people who watch me can be blessed.:)
Great video! Thank you!
Amen and amen! Truth!
God bless you brother!
Same to you!
You forgot to mention Proverbs 3:9-10 whenever they prayed for first fruits offerings and tithes. That's was one of the reasons why I left my church cos they were still into tithing and first fruits theology. They had that Paula white mentality and so I left them for that.
ua-cam.com/video/caZO5VhSpME/v-deo.html
Great! I'm still looking for the cheerful giving verse, I know you've discussed this before, but can't seem to find it now.
Hello thank you for your videos.. I was following your Bible references .. at 9:48 you mentioned Nehemiah 23:5?? It got only 13 chapters.. did you meant to refer different verse or book?
Sorry 13:10
PRAISE THE LORD❤🙌😊🙏
Paul: give to someone who needs it as you have decided between you and God. Don’t promise something and then back out though. Don’t give in a way that hurts you.
Church: give sacrificially. Give till it hurts. If you don’t have enough money to give us then cancel your Netflix subscription or get your finances in order.
Very informative. Thank you. Another they twist is the widows mite.
What about the widows mite. Mark 12:41. I realize it is an offering for the temple to distribute as as she was most likely a recipient of the temples help being a poor widow…and Jesus commends her on her abundant giving. We too should also be giving even more than a tithe. Maybe not all to the church that we are fed by but how is the pastor and the building to be taken care of
He should get a job, like Paul.
Good job, brother! 👍
Shalom.☺☺☺
We must also look after those who feed us the Word. Although, we are not under any obligation to tithe in the New Testament.
Amen GODbless
God is so thoroughly faithful in all
Great job!!!😊😊😊
But who’s going to pay for all those 480v/3ph commercial HVAV systems running 24/7/365….
I understand the teaching very well and thank the Lord for the vessel.
But, if someone may help me answering these questions :
1) I usually give to the church.
@@iThinkBiblically
Clear. Thanks.
God bless you!
Greed in insatiable.
Excellent! I love the TRUTH.
What about Luke 6:30 which says give to those who ask of you and whoever takes your stuff don't ask for it back?
What about Paul using the don't muzzle the ox verse?
The word God is better than gold and silver. Preachers using the levitical priesthood law of God, to receive tithes and offerings, are a bunch of thieves.
Thanks for all your videos of sound doctrine.
