EJCTA 2024 - Cat.5 - Stage 3

VAM Berg race.
4 Laps - in total around 140ish hm of climbing with a 5km long flat section. - in total around 23 km of racing
I was looking forward to this race the most, because it involved some climbing!
Starting rather from the middle of the field this time (not last row again ;-) ) I managed to get to the front of the pack quickly.
I went all in at the start of the first climb but noticed that others will be faster on the cobble part, if I keep following this strategy.
For the white Jersey sprint I paced myself better and managed to cross the line in 2nd position.
Unfortunatly gaps that were created on the fast climbs where not used by the leading pack. I often found myself alone trying to push away but resignated when others slowed down the pace when they were in the front.
In some parts of the race we were a breakaway of around six riders. If we would have pulled through, we could have made the group of racers on the last climb a lot smaller.
Compared to the first two days this race was a big personal success and much more enjoyable (no breathing issues, fair chances to reach the important sprints in time)
Came in 5th at the end.
Unfortunately directly after the race my throat started to hurt, which lead to me not being able to race the last race on friday :(

沒有喉嚨痛一定會騎得更好！應該星期一第一場比賽時身體就有病毒感染了，還可以戰到前幾名很棒了！
