Once you've experienced them live on stage, your perception of awesome changes fundamentally for the better. This band is a force of nature ! I was privileged to make that experience just last night and at times I had tears rolling down my face. I hadn't realized how much 2.5 years of plandemic and home office without any live music had taken away from me. Can't thank you guys enough !
In the UK & I've been in love with this fine collection of totally overlooked , underrated individuals since first hearing them when I was 16 , I`m now 56. At the time of commenting I can see that 38 people can hear Music for what it truly is & 1 person has no ears , Spectacular band , thanks for sharing
I saw Mother many years ago...with the original bandmates. It was the Another Mother tour...when the " wyzard" was playing bass and Dion was playing drums. Iremember those old school days...!!!
1st saw Mother's Finest in 1980 as an opening act. Then saw them live every chance I got. Have been to many concerts and drove any distance to see Mother's Finest, Fabulous Thunderbirds, Pink Floyd, Robert Plant. I can only thank God for the wonderful music in my lifetime.
And she still singing!!! Like a fine wine. They've gotten better with time if thats possible!!!!! Always been awesome. People need to start petition to put them in rock and roll hall of Fame!!!!!
I've been with them for 40+ years and they are still as good as they were in their early days. MF LIve is among the best live performances ever recorded, imo. Next to "Live Killers" by Queen and "Live In Leeds" by The Who.
Lead vocalist is a rock icon and I loved listening to her back in the 90s when they were really getting into heavier rock music off their Scottie Brothers label (“Black Radio Stations won’t play this Record”) I know the band has been around since at least the early 70s if not earlier . Her voice was so powerful then . As powerful as Tina Turner’s vocals. She still has a lot of energy but the voice is going away. Thanks for so many great years and for making it into the Georgia Rock n Roll of Fame. Now i feel like listening to their earlier stuff from theor discography.
Funking Rocking Solid For Over 50+ Years...I Saw Them Live Early @1978...Saw Them @2000's...Glad To See The Original Line Up On Present Day. Joyce, Glen, Mo, Wiz..."Baby Love" Is Still My Favorite...
Saw MF in the early 1980's and again in the 2010's and they never failed to bring the energy, soul, and love! I hope and wish I'll be able to see them again before their end or mine!
First time I experienced them on TV when I was 18 and loved it . Now 40 years later , I'm still "terrorising" my neighbors with the finest ever made mix of Soul/Blues and Rock Music by MOTHERS FINEST.
Went to see them every new years eve for years in the late 70's and early 80s till I left for Europe and lost track for a while. Rediscovered later still bad ass rocking as ever, love em always ⭐ 🥰⭐🥰⭐
Incredible artists!! Saw them way back and also in the nineties.. and they’re still smoking hot as ever!, hats off for the flag..; my flag is Mothers Finest👍👍👍👍
Gotta respect Mo...!..multitasking...playing stars outta heaven and keeping an "eye" on ~The Three Beez ~....no wonder he's smiling all the time...a one..a Two!..a one .. Two!..three..
This takes me back to Charlie Goodnight's Bar in Raleigh, NC circa 1977-1980. They were regulars and boy did we jam with them, usually right up front! Fond memories of playing air guitar and singing along. Still cookin!@!!
It was so good to hear these wonderful singers and musicians. I’m sorry that John Hayes’ great guitar work was not in the mix enough to hear clearly. Fantastic guitars, bass and drums - they never got in the way of the singers. Wish I’d been there!
I saw these guys down in a little bar somewhere in Tampa area in 1977. Loved the intensity of their show and the music speaks for itself! Have listened to them up to this day and I'm glad they made a great run of it.
will you please...please...PLEASE come and play up here in Pennsylvania sometime in 2024! ...so underrated... and so worthy of being in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
Wizard once muttered GD thats the biggest mf bud ive ever seen as we fired it up backstage at Alex Coolies electric ballroom in Atlanta on New years eve 1976. 🎉😊
My all time favorite is still the combination of the Mandela Song followed by Mickey's Monkey (Live on Subluxation). When I saw them first at the German Rock Palast night in 1978 it was a revelation to me. Even though bands like Zep integrated Funk and Reggae parts to their songs, MF was completely different. Their power has banged me against the wall at that time. I saw them 3 times live, the last 2 times in Dornbirn Vorarlberg 2014 and 2018, and, hand on heart, iI have danced through every concert, 2 hours and more. Joyce with her still great voice, Wyzard and Dion with there unbeatable bass rhythm and blind understanding, Mosaes and John with their riffs and last but not least Glenn soul fire voice. Not to forget the fun the y all have on stage and that spills over into the audience . Each time a great and overwhelming event! Many a band and singer can take a leaf out of their book.
For the non speeking Germans: "Dornbirn" is a small city in Austria at the Swiss Border near the Boden lake and Liechtenstein. This band I know since the 1970´s, very good still!
The poor guy on the green guitar is just not in the mix. Saw them last Sunday and it was the same (great show btw)... I don't get why they have two guitars anyway - always thought their earlier setup with the keyboard player was their best sound.
At 18:00 or so, please take out the edit. This is the song we all love them for. Niggaz can't sang Rock and Roll. Come on. Don't censor them on one of their most known songs.
Some Info about my old Love " Mother's Finest " en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mother%27s_Finest It's really the finest Rock and Funck Band ! My first impression ❤ 40 years ago was right. I'm still loving it !
Gooodgooooglymooooogly.. I loves my homies.. I've seen him in Carolina many times at the campus of UNCC back in the day poor let me tell you what they making my biggg toe jump out of my boooot ahhhhhh...
Saw them supporting Dan Reed Network in very early 90s. Good to see they're still going. Sound not so good on this vid. Can hardly hear the guitars especially the lead guitar.
Hardest working band in Rock 'n Roll. Loved these guys since 1979.
Most probably the first crossover band ever and they still rock like in the 1970's!
Yes, I'm from Georgia and have loved them for decades.
Yeah they are playing this Saturday before New Years in Atlanta. I may go. What does plandemic mean? I've never heard story behind that word.
Virus was planned by deep state paid for in 2015 by obima..Wuhan lab china..thanx demonrat voter's
Plandemic..wake up folk's
Moses Mo still rockin’ 👍🏻

Ditto....we did the exact timing on watching them.....but I was close to Montgomery A......it was so cool
We were lucky
Love MF! One of the best live bands, if not the the best of all time.
@@pglover64 Should be in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
Makes me forget pansy bands like Living Colour....MF eats off of their heads anyday :)
One of the best bands of all time
I saw Mother many years ago...with the original bandmates. It was the Another Mother tour...when the "

The best funk rock group to ever grace a stage and from my hometown of Funkrock GA!

Been into this band since I was a young kid... 13 to be exact when I bought their self-titled album in 1976...
Mother's Finest absolutes Suchtpotenzial. Konnte sie mehrmals in der Kammgarn in Kaiserslautern sehen. Absoluter Knaller !!!!!! Danke!!!
i remember not being aloud to wear their shirt's to school .They thought the big "MF" was not for the band .Class of 86 in Georgia:)
Saw them many times in the late 70s, & early 80s. One of the best boogie bands ever. They were always a good time.
I have seen the Band 3 x in Hamburg live. But first in TV rockpalast 1979.
one of my favorite bands. alot of talent here. got to see them warm up for ted nugent way back 1981. that girl can dam sure sing
Great to see Wyzard back!!! Love This Band!!!
One of a kind ,Mother's Finest best Funk rock band!! you've got to have some in your life!💥💯❤
I've been with them for 40+ years and they are still as good as they were in their early days. MF LIve is among the best live performances ever recorded, imo. Next to "Live Killers" by Queen and "Live In Leeds" by The Who.
Love seeing them when they perform at Eddie's Attic Decatur, GA. All 165 of us are on our feet!
Ich liebe die Musik, sie macht mich gleich 40 Jahre jünger 😊❤

She's 74 and still sounds great, no she doesn't sound like she did 40 years ago but she still sounds great.

Still love you guys... still killin' it... rock on!
Just for the record: If this was recorded in 2018 (which it most likely was) then the singer is seventy years young here. :-)
Been with them since the 1st lp thanks for the great music
I saw Mother's Finest open for Lynyrd Skynyrd (with Ronnie) in April 1977, Cumberland Co Arena, Fayetteville, NC. Awesome
Incredible artists!! Saw them way back and also in the nineties.. and they’re still smoking hot as ever!, hats off for the flag..; my flag is Mothers Finest👍👍👍👍

Good to se Mo Back in the band! And playing great!

Love Mothers Finest and as always...epic stuff 49:40 They deliver ! 💖💖💖
I remember seeing MF in 1976 and the bass player was mind blowing. It influenced me greatly on being a musician today. GREAT BAND!!!!
Joyce "Baby Jean" Kennedy, still got the timing
Cool talented and sexy lady indeed.
will you please...please...PLEASE come and play up here in Pennsylvania sometime in 2024! ...so underrated... and so worthy of being in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!

The best Unique Funk Rock...since 80s

First big venue concert I ever saw was Mother's Finest opening for Lynyrd Skynyrd at the UGA Coliseum May 1977. Set the bar pretty high.

Love the Killer Bees
#2
This is a Super Bowl Sunday half time show!
saw them so many times in Raleigh, Pier, Silver Bullet, Attic, etc etc since early 80's i think
The best hard funk rock band since the seventies.
AMAZING !!!!
Damn, she still has a huge voice and way more energy than women half her age.
super!!!
Thanks for this!
Gawd. How good!
Ticket price was $6.25. Mother's Finest, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Outlaws.
Cool Band!!!
The poor guy on the green guitar is just not in the mix. Saw them last Sunday and it was the same (great show btw)... I don't get why they have two guitars anyway - always thought their earlier setup with the keyboard player was their best sound.
"the poor guy" has a name.;.John Hayes!
Damn good❤
What's this censor crap!!!! All this younger generation being so offended !!!!
No keyboards? Really doesn’t sound the same without them.
This is an aging band that's lost the initial energy. Love 1978 funk explosive, raw sweat performances.
Anybody so literate to come up with the back vocalist names?
Them great also!
Great video, but to give a honest "thumb-Up" some more info is needed!
When and Where was the concert?
Set-list?
Artists? (musicians)
At 18:00 or so, please take out the edit. This is the song we all love them for. Niggaz can't sang Rock and Roll. Come on. Don't censor them on one of their most known songs.
Lighten up dude.... censoring this particular passage is deafening....
My favorite babd hands down
Some Info about my old Love " Mother's Finest "

It's really the finest Rock and Funck Band !
My first impression ❤ 40 years ago was right. I'm still loving it !

What's the date of this show (day/month/year)? Thanks
Gooodgooooglymooooogly.. I loves my homies.. I've seen him in Carolina many times at the campus of UNCC back in the day poor let me tell you what they making my biggg toe jump out of my boooot ahhhhhh...
Why did Wyzard leave the band? Does anybody know?
corporate America re-writes music history. Is this AI? Because there is no soul.
fucking great!!!!!!!
Saw them supporting Dan Reed Network in very early 90s. Good to see they're still going. Sound not so good on this vid. Can hardly hear the guitars especially the lead guitar.
Are you from Buckhead?
