I am in tears hearing this. I met my late husband in 1990. He came over to my place and we were listening to this, Das Fx, Poor Righteous Teachers, Public Enemy, Wu among many others. Little did I know, I would only have 25 years of his presence on this earth. It such a short amount of time, when you're in it, you know it will end, but you really don't know how an ending feels till it ends. Sorry, just reflecting . . .

I doubt if I will ever forget this song, this is when going to the club was an experience and not a life or death situation. I feel sorry for young adults today, just thinking about the house parties, community center parties, and clubbing without worrying about being shot or someone dying. It's so crazy how much bonding and positive community interaction they are missing out on.

I agree with you. I remember when going to Clubs and House Parties and the most you would see maybe a fist fight and that was rare at least in my experience. Good music, Men and Women on a positive vibe on the dance floor. Lot of people met their Husband or Wife at Clubs and House parties back in the day and are still together. I would like to say good music cast the Love spell on them. Didn’t mean to ramble. Peace and be safe out here.

@@shottashabazz6721 No you're right, the vibe was awesome and no one came there to fight or set someone up. This is a very deep song..I e seen some of the comments and some of you are right..The first verse is simply about having her love next to her after a long and hard day to help her relax..But the entirety of this song goes deeper than just that..It spills to the second verse being about a woman who needs her drugs to "get her through the day"..She needs to get some "Ghetto heaven"...third verse is about SELLING the "Ghetto Heaven"..It's deep to me because we all know someone using or selling..Just a powerful song to me..

Let’s just remember that “one size does not always fit all”…. I was a young teen living in Upstate New York….My Parents worked HARD to keep the elements of the #life being spoken about on this track, from being OUR experience!
I respect the Struggle, but this definitely wasn’t my experience….or the experience of the Black Families we grew up around!
