I don't know Aamir very closely, but I do admire him. Most actors I know are circumscribed within Bollywood and films. Aamir’s world traverses these borders. He is ready to go out on a limb if he believes in something - no matter what the consequences.
Aamir thinks a lot. He also listens. I wish he would join politics - but not at the cost of films! I love watching them..
By the way, Aamir can keep you in splits with his little anecdotes, which he tells with an actor’s sense of timing. There’s an incredibly funny side to Mr. Perfectionist.

I have to say that I love how Simi asks such insightful and meaningful questions to BOTH male and female guests. It’s not like other talk shows/interviews in which cerebral questions are reserved for male actors, while women are reduced to being asked about their clothes and love lives. It’s absolutely refreshing to see every guest treated with equal respect and dignity.

@nexxt up mainstream fans might not see... But true movie lovers watch all good films without south-north barrier... And Indian cinema is not just about bollywood, there are like 30 industries in India.. No disrespect for Amir Khan, he is one of my favourite.. But there are actually a bunch of indian actors better than him.. Mohanlal is often referred as the marlon brando of India and Kamal hassan is referred as Ulaganayakan (means universal artist).. You should try their movies..
I love how simiji is not trying to get a scandalous story out of anyone she interviews and not trying to get them to name other people she just tries to give us an insight into the lives of the celebs we know and love.
You should definitely come back with this show all other shows will have to pack up

Amir wears his heart on his sleeves and he is not afraid to express his love to the woman he loves even though he might get rejected. He is so humble, grounded and genuine. Truly a gem of a person. it's sad that his marriage didn't last but what can we say, nothing lasts forever.. hope he is happy right now; he deserves his happy ending

Simi Ji, please start this show I have been rewatching your interviews, to be honest very few people have the ability to draw people into conversation get them comfortable with being open about their personal life, and you have that ability I'm an early 2000 kid and I still enjoy your interviews it's far far better than many of the recent interviews and nobody has been par with your capability you are so professional please don't let it ebb away please bring this back
Aamir is so genuine, open and honest here; i feel that all the criticisms and media scrutiny over the years have made him more secretive and private. He is very careful in his interviews now and rarely speaks about his private life; its all about promoting his movies now. Smart man!

And that's how ppl change. Aamir's love for his wife is visible in this interview and if someone now takes his interview he wud have many reasons to say why he left her. A great deal of hypocrisy indeed. I genuinely ponder what makes we viewers to judge an actor on the basis of personal choices he/she makes?? And I come to a mere conclusion that we associate to an actor because on screen he is a hero who is perfect. Who has no emotional flaws of whatsoever nature and based on that we make an image of them. N whenever we see slight deflection in their bahaviour, we feel sad. We feel cheated.
This is a very accurate insight into the star/viewer syndrome Indira. What you have written is exactly what takes place. We believe what we WANT to believe about our favorite stars. It's all about OUR perception. No one wants to alter that image through truth, reality or any human frailties...sigh..:-)
Well. Aamir has never ever given reasons blaming his wife for separation. In fact he owns it. N if 2 people are not happy, y shud u drag ur relationship to the core and stop growing. Ther children were quite mature to accept that descision. U feel real love only means being husband wife. Typical mentality.
