- The last couple of times we were here we only managed to get up to the mouth of the Hawkesbury and the Rail Bridge . This Time my focus is purely on starting at the very back of Cowan Creek and Smiths creek ... this river Truly is huge so Don't worry we will eventually branch out and make our way all over this Place ! Enjoy...
The boat ramp looks like Bobbin Head. If so, I have some fantastic memories from that place in the mid 80’s. I used to motor up to cottage point and catch school Jew. Used to fish at Elenor Bluffs for flat head. Some of the biggest lizards I ever caught was from Elenor’s Bluffs they had heads like spades. Used to get the hairtail during winter at night. I now live in central QLD and don’t miss Sydney one bit but I do miss the hawkesberry waterway and its surroundings. Fantastic place and some of the best fishing and boating memories I possess. You will no doubt cherish them memories too. That’s what places like that do to you as you get older and move away. Thanks for posting.
Yeah mate Sydney can grind your gears ! But you definitely Right the Hawkesbury is one of those magic places can see some memories of my own being Forged up there !
Great to see you doing well & enjoying your fishing, well done & keep those videos coming brutha 🎣
Thanks Brutha not planning to stop thats for sure !
Yeehhh Babyyy - the confidence is starting to go to another level.!! 😎
Marshmallow man would be proud.. 😃

😂 the marshmallow Man watches down on us all .. thanks Brutha !
Nice meeting you at the ramp and on the water! Thanks for the shoutout!
You will be featured in my next episode as well 😀
Just back to work for me ,great meeting you and sure will see you up there soon !
Back in the early 60's i lived at Kangaroo point . Friday afternoon after primary school mum would take me over to Blakehurst to buy me 1/2 a pound of green prawns that cost 2 shilling, There were 2 bait places side by side. i just can't remember the names.
I think im bit too young to remember that bait place but im sure it brings back great fishing memories! 🎣
Great session. Have to be happy with that
Yeah bro , pretty damn happy so far
Love the vid bro. If you ever get the chance do a video on Brisbane waters.
Would love to get up that way one of these days !
Nice work brother, when we going for a colab? 😊
Can DM me on the work email at start of vidz brutha if your keen n have a chat ..tight lines Hookin 🎣
Loving your videos. Keep it up.
Glad you like them! More to come
Rocked up there to launch my tinny late one night, and passed a ute with 3 boat trailers stacked on top of each one.
The dogs had stolen them from the ramp.
Had a set of bearing buddys stolen there as well.
Killing it bro, keep on enjoying yourself.🤙
The two bays on your right going up smith's Creek are good squid spots near the shallows. And plenty of gars as well just berley a bit.
Seriously? That's fkd. Sometimes I park here at night and my car is the only one. I do take precautions and lock up up my trailer and run my dash cam but it seems nothing will stop these thiefs!
Besides the uneasiness of leaving the trailer 😂 cheers …id have to say there would be a Swift Rusty machette if was to come across anyone…..But thanks all you can do us fish on
Gotta love how you were saying the zman's where fairing better against the choppers and then one gets cut in half haha the fishing gods up to their old tricks.
😂😂😂
love your videos Jade I might catch up with you at the Sutherland fishing club when if I get a chance to go to the next meeting
Cheers Michael i missed last meeting aswell was apparently pretty good one ☝️ see you there
gotta love Cowan. how fast were you trawling those soft plastics? and if I may suggest a place near there called flint and steel point, there are often tuna bust ups.
Thanks for the Tips havnt fished there yet but have checked it out . Only trawling slow just in gear
Your not in the Hawkesbury River you are in Cowan Water which is not part of the Hawkesbury River which ends at Juno Point. From a fishing perspective two very different systems. One is a river with flow the other a flooded river valley with no river flow. You may have more luck catching bigger Jew in the river as there is more food and ambush points but the tide with the river flow makes it more interesting as the jew are often in the eddies from the river flow. Good luck as you seem to have all the equipment and enthusiasm.
Thanks for the info im from Botany bay all looks Hawkesbury to me 😂 but thanks ill stumble on a jewie at some point and hopefully more consistently!
@@nautijade If you want to catch a big jew go on the northern side of Dangar Island just south of the port pole in close. Its in the Hawkesbury River. 20 -30 feet of water anchored near the telstra line going to the offshore houses, You will need livebait like the taylor your catching or yellow tail which you can catch in Cowan water off most moorings. Try and fish in the eddy coming off the corner of the Island. Good luck.
All the gear .. no idea
Nothing better than smoking a cigar and watching some Nauti Jade
Brothaaaa how many fishing and camping trips do you do down south bro we do heaps of camping and fishing trips in owe boats bro would love for more mates with boats to come along bro
Hey mate Let your lure sink down to the bottom below the tailor schools that’s where the jewfish will be also you have a great sounder youse it to idle around and cast at big fish when you see them on the side that is the way to do it bro
Im still learning brutha yes definitely appreciate extra tips !
Just a tip for hardbody lures use the same size as the plastics ( 70mm plastics try 70mm hardbody )
Ill give it a go at matching them up
Thanks for the great content. What size is ur boat? Is it a stabicraft?
Yeah mate 6.2 stabi
@@nautijade I looked on the stabicraft site, but didnt see your model. I really like it and how it is setup. Nige from Sydney
@@Suicidal_Worthless_Failureyeah mate think this was one of the last in this model to come out as an open centre console..was very lucky to get one
I try to stick to the plan as well, but it can change at any time 😂
Is that the fg knot I tied on ur 12lb rod a couple of months ago?
👍👍👍
Try a vibe or just jig your plastic on the bottom. Legal jews feeding underneath the bait the tailor are hitting on the surface. Good time to run big livies in cowan also.
Havnt done much vibing will have to put more time in .. 🤙
Those Taylor are as good a livies as you will get
Be a great day when something takes a nice 30cm livey!
Those tailor live are big JEW candy bigger the better.
You need to look up a place called slippery rock.
Maps and studying underway !
how long ago was this
Back at work for a week now ..so prob just over a week
Hi may I ask which boat ramp?
apple tree bay
Nice bait fishing mate if only you knew where to hang them in stretch of water... don't need to go far from the ramp ... 15kg plus if you know where... like watching your journey in that part.... fished it for 45 years ... my best advice is think like a fish ...alot to unlock in thr and I can tell you your in only small to legal jew spot ... like I said think.....
Do your research on how bait react and study bait feeding patterns and how they position themselves and how they look like on the sounder when they feel uncomfortable.... all a learning curve mate ... good luck can't wait till you nail a 20 plus good month for it in thr
Thanks Jase ,Yeah man more studies are needed and time put in to the river system there …all we got is time Baby!
