Checo has a massive straight line speed advantage, and Danny Ric still beat him
Yeh I was looking and there was like a 10 kph difference, crazy
It's not like he still doesn't have to do well in the corners just cause his car is fastest in the straights.
And Checo was only 0.15 off Verstappen. This is something track specific most likely.
You don't know how f1 cars work, you must be a Drive to survive fan, just because a car is fast on straight doesn't mean anything, actually the faster cars are always the ones that are faster on the corners because they take so much amount of time there
@exa0247 bro 💀 the redbull is legit a better car, it can go way quicker in a straight line and still be set up to go round corners. That's what makes a quick car quick, no comprises needed.
@@exa0247also, as far as I'm aware, mexico has the longest straights on the calendar, so the amount of time spent on the straight vs in corners is going to be skewed more towards the straights than would be normal.
Damn... Danny Ric's late braking, faster entry speed, smoother steering inputs and tighter line in the final turn to beat Checo in the superior car, sublime to watch.
Mate Albon in a alphatauri is faster than albon in RB, only Verstappan can extract speed from Rb, Alpha tauri is a faster car than Rb, because of super max we’re thinking otherwise. Adrian Newey is just lucky that Max is driving his car, or he would’ve been fired from a frontier F1 team long before.

@@JarrylKhan I mean albon was continuously out qualifying gasly who was in a RB, but when albon got into Rb he also had the same delta to max as gasly had. So for any good driver alpha tauri will be quicker for them around a circuit than a Rb, Max is prolonging Newey’s old ass career.

Daniel looks so comfortable vs the Mclaren. The Mclaren is a horrible car to drive and needs a certain style. THis is the Danny Ric we know and love. He also killed it at Renault!
Being faster than Checo is one thing , being slower than DR in a AT is just plain embarrassing!!!
For most race tracks I would agree. But this is a weird one. The altitude, track surface and layout of the circuit can bunch things up a whole lot. Ricciardo did a mega job but Perez didn't do a bad quali, just over 1 tenth behind Verstappen. It's a shame Tsunoda was serving such a big penalty, I would have like to see a proper comparison between him and Ricciardo at this track.
Also this might be a strong track for Danny, he used to take pole here

Bro Max was a rookie and Daniel had a lot of experience in f1 when they were teammates, he wouldn't have a chance against this Verstappen

Danny's smooth steering is really similar to Max, and just goes to show that that's RB family's preferred style of driving and why Checo isn't taking the full potential of his car abit sadge

That rb 19 is over 10 kmph faster on the straights,also much faster in the corners and still checo did a terrible lap,fascinating how bad this guy is,i had alot of respect for him as a driver but tbh he would get beat by lawson in equal machinery

Alphatauri has a faster car. They are now using redbull parts. Ricciardo out qualified both norris and piastri that says alot about the car.

It’s a fact that RB B-team’s A driver will slower in RB B-Car. Gasly, Albon has all out qualified the then RB B-car in an RB B-Team.
As I said in a former post here, it may be kind of embarrassing for Checo to have a worse time qualification than Daniel, but the race is today, and Checo will have to deliver, and finish ahead of Daniel. Otherwise, he would possibly be toast for F1, maybe just one year, maybe for his whole driver career

How Daniel will replace checo
Embarrassing for Perez at his home race. Not sure what is happening with him. RB can use this as a solid reason to release him from his contract but then again I would believe RB will give it one more race to see him dani is consistent.
Perez was a little ahead at the start, quicker straight line speed, Ricciardo catch him middle of the lap and did Perez with a tighter line on the final corner. Splitting the RedBulls, was it a Fuke?? needs to keep doing it.

Not sure why everyone is supporting an anomaly by Ricky. RB knows he cannot be trusted, coz he left them back then. Plus he did great in Mexico last year with McLaren too
If you look at the line before the pit entry towards the end, Checo is actually ahead of Daniel, he's also at a higher speed and both of them are fully on the throttle. It's the longer distance to the line that Checo takes that costs him the position which I find to be incredibly stupid.
That's why RB would replace Checo to Daniel in 2024

red bulls are similar to ferrari, where the second car is significantly slowed down by mechanics, and in pit stops most often incidents occur with second car, so i never liked aggressive egoists like Schumacher, Hamilton and Verstapen, the whole team works for them
