Totally. That would be dope to have.
First step: Free solo El Cap. Second step: Have some buddies interested in filming it. Third step: Have them make a superb documentary that gets Oscar-nominated.
North Face will have one ready for you.
magtovi 😂
@@magtovi is that it?

... yeah , do all that stuff and your tuxedo will come
The most grounded and unaffected athlete I have ever come across. I am delighted for him and the entire crew of Free Solo for what was the best film ( not just documentary ) of the year.
Such a modest guy, not all rock climbers are, wish him a long long happy life..well done mr Alex Honnold 🤟🧗♂️👍
his straightforward perspective is infectious... no lip service, no telling you what you want to hear, just an honest and self-developed perspective borne from pursuing greater heights in his skills and... well... height
It should win the best horror picture aswell
Very well deserved Oscar and good and professional interview!!! I remember him in that disastrous Jimmy Kimmel's when despite the lot of stupid and irrelevant questions Alex remains humble and grounded. This guy is a unique human being, he is much more than a climber; he is a zen master, a pioneer. Great Alex Honnold!!!
Mountain goats bow down to this guy!
Epic...retweet
Not just bow down...its already sacrifice for alex.. but unfortunately Alex is Vege...hahahha...😜😜
Had some friends once who walked 2h uphill to a rock climb. Sat at the bottom unpacking their gear.
Baaaaahhhh. splat. Sheep lands dead between them having fallen off the cliff.
They don't say a word. None needed.
Start packing their gear and head home without touching the rock. Omens.
@@PB-sk9jn HAHA thats great!!! (but kind of sad. for the sheep)
LOL yes!!!
After watching 'Free Solo', I have a whole new understanding and greater respect for climbers using fall protection...
congratulations to all of the crew and Alex!
literally just watched the documentary, just so blowed away how memorising it was... the high level of capability he has is insane, I love the way he came across in this interview you can tell that his true passion wasn't to make an film out of it... but only to pursue his passion & complete his childhood dream better questions could have been said but appreciate him being so chilled bout it all but I'm glad it won the Oscar highly deserves the recognition either way.
only reason i was paying attention to the oscars was for this moment
congrats Alex and the team !!! :)
i was so glad they announced best doc so quickly! I didn't have to sit through all the pretentious bullshit
my thoughts exactly
"I have very weak fingers!" - Alex Honnold 2019
I met him which was better than meeting anybody else at the oscars.
Impressed with the unanimity of the comments here. Its very unique in you tube history. We are all able to recognize the greatness of such an achievment. Thanks Alex !
Respect. Really got his feet on the ground. Metaphorically, not so much physically!
Well much of the power and stability in climbing comes from the feet (:
He accomplished a feat that all those actors could only dream about- and yet he's the most humble of them all.
Seriously hangry Alex Honnold. What a hero!
this man is so honest
1:40 im speechless
really STRONG HUMBLE man
respect forever on my side!
Such a modest guy, never explicitly reveals that the secret to his success is *big balls.*
so stoic and so articulate. absolute beast
Just watched free solo and there were several times that his bluntness made me laugh. What a legend.
Watching Alex being interviewed in a tux is about as bizarre as it gets. I can only imagine what he's thinking as he answers the same questions over and over again. But he obviously takes it all with grace and good humor. Pure class.
Bet he’s got the van round the back rather than stay in a five star hotel 😂😂😂
that was a good one.
Great interview. I like the intelligence Honnold brings, the humility, and regard for others. Hey Alex, you're going to win.
He's so damn real. Freaking love this guy.
This guy is sooooo down to earth and soooo humble. I'm truly inspired by how simple, yet amazing, he is.
Congrats Alex, well deserved bro!
Alex is real, humble and quite diplomatic. Happy to see such a passionate superhuman walk on the face of this earth! He believes in his climbing craft.
Just came back from the gym. Before the Oscars. It is amazing.
6 hours to kill.
