Their antithesis is showcased in the short monologue Jon has while he's travelling with Clement. When Clement enter sthe pool (a reflective surface) and disappears, Jon follows, but exits without finding Clement. Perhaps Clement went back to his side of the looking glass, perhaps at that moment they swapped lives. That's what I'm getting.

In both the mirror scenes (main clue) both actors are a "reflection"of each other. He went for a drive and he met the version of him that was 'happier and more free'. In the last scene, Clement gives him his key, metaphorically meaning they are ONE. He even said: "I go where you go". The drowning scene is a representation of Kortajanera's state-of-mind. Irl, he’s drowning. Also.. it seems like he’s experiencing hallucinations.. which brings the creepy element to it. I love the message but it could have been done in a more straightforward approach. Although, that’s not the point. PS: South Europeans are the hottest IMO.
