Thanks for the video man, I'm an OKC degenerate so I love listening to everyone talk about them and give their opinions. Something to follow for me is Ajay Mitchell, Dillon Jones, and Topic from the draft. The first two I named off have been playing legitimately great in summer league and honestly seem to be ready to contribute to the team already. This is important for a top team to rotate in as they lose players cause they can't afford them. Presti is a draft savant, he knows how to get the best value at the pick he has. Didn't even mention how Topic will make an impact either. It's a fun time to be a thunder fan!

Same here man, even Ousmane Dieng shined in Summer League and I think this is a make or break year for him if he wants to be in our rotation but he has improved a lot through his time in the G League. Our team is so deep at every position it is insane. No matter who you start the second rotation is packed with defense and shooters. I think we are destined for a ring if we can stay healthy.

@@xgraype3267yes man! I think they plan to let him play a lot more minutes the first couple months and see how he does. This year will definitely decide his future with OKC and I hope he does great. Having a real 4 man would be beautiful for us

I don't see any difference in his offensive game still he's only good at the floater and playmaking the defense still isn't there neither is the shooting

@@jaebuudhatv8514 does he have liabilities? Yes. So does curuso. All im saying is its not a complete lose for Chicago. You are rebuilding and my guess is that by the time you get a good team again, Giddey will have improved.

@@awethinic8379 thats not to say giddey won't be great he averaged 17/8/7 his sophomore year and he's 6'8 with a handle I always said he low-key a Luka light but I think his defense will always be below average he doesn't have quick footwork to keep up with athletic wings and guards and I'm telling u now his go to is that floater he uses it almost every possession it's not that efficient

@@awethinic8379 Not a total loss. Just a questionable move. Alex was being traded no matter what. Its what he was traded for that is in question. Which is nothing to do with Josh, exactly. But the Bulls, their needs, and the business of basketball. Alex is not a Josh replacement, Josh not an Alex. But Okc needed an Alex. He'd most likely be there even if Josh stayed. But did the Bulls NEED a Josh? What else might they have gotten considering what they already had and future intentions? That is really the only thing in question.

People are vastly underestimating this Thunder offseason, we upgraded our weakest link in Giddey to another high % 3p shooting all defensive player (Caruso) and signed iHart to improve our biggest playoff weakness (non Chet minutes)

    • @metsrus

love all the moves, getting rid of Giddey's redundant skillset and obtaining a complimentary defensive role player like Caruso. Then freeing Chet up by getting Hartenstein to do the dirty work in the paint.

You guys got pueces that fit good, but got some of the oowest talent stat-wise thst Presti could find. Mikal Bridges is everything Caruso is noe, but younger, bigger, more athletic, healthier, and better overall. He should've coughed up a few draft picks to get a guy who could clearly put them over the top. And they still may not have the talent to rest Chet which will come in handy in the coming years.

  • @G-Blockster
    @G-Blockster 3 місяці тому +1

I completely agree with your take. I see Isaiah Joe starting this year with Caruso coming off the bench to save his legs for the playoffs. Hartenstein will start or come off the bench as the matchups dictate.

Everyone has their opinion, but it is clear that the bulls got the better player, Giddy, who is 9 years younger, but the Thunder got a player, Caruso, that fits in their rotation better. Also, starting both Hartenstein and Holmgren would be counter to their style of play. They got a good backup center that can occasionally play alongside Holmgren.

  • @slender289

Hartenstein can still start OKC just need to put him at the PF spot because they need to add another faciliting connector but also I expect Coach Daignault to play Hartenstein over 30 minutes a game since Isaiah can still fit with the Thunder's 5 out system because when Hartenstein came into the league he was known as a stretch big he just couldnt show it on the other teams especially new york where thibs didn't require him to do so.
But in the Clippers they explored his shooting potential I bet OKC is banking on developing him futher or unlock his ceiling as a big man since Isaiah just turned 26 this year by the end of his contract he is just around 28-29 plus he played before with SGA & Lu Dort in the Nike Hoop Summit.
    A lineup of
    SGA
    Dort
    JDub
    iHart
    Chet
Is nasty because both JDub and Dort can play their natural roles now by adding Isaiah into the starting frontcourt.

Not enough shooters/ball handlers there to fit OKC's style of play. Wallace, or possibly Caruso would fit better than Hartenstein. Of course that all depends on who they are playing. In some cases Hartenstein may be the better choice.

After everything else, the Thunder will have 3 to 4 first round picks in the 2025 draft, which will be very loaded. This includes the very talented Nikola Topic and a chance to get a very high 2025 1st-round pick with the pick swap with the Clippers. The beat goes on...

Giddy"s a good player but he doesn't fit like Caruso can with us. For those who don't believe just watch his highlights. The speed, awareness, tenacity, is much greater than what Giddy can give us. Even being 8 yrs older!!!

What I am most afraid of is that Ihart or Caruso aren’t starters. We need to find a 2 guard, Isiah Joe isn’t a starter, Wallace isn’t ready and Wiggins isn’t a starter.
As a die hard OKC fan since 2008, I think we need a starter cause we got everything else. Rotational 5 can affect in the playoffs, we saw how we struggle to scored in the playoffs 😅
