    Good video! I've heard that "group them wherever the first one goes" advice before, I think it's really meant for beginners practicing - the score doesn't matter, you're just trying to replicate the same shot 3 times with your arm muscles. The logic being that eventually you'll get better at setting your stance up to hit the first shot. Then you'll be practiced at following up with the next 2 darts. At least I think that's the logic!

    • @DartsClass
      @DartsClass  4 роки тому +2

      Yeah I know what you mean, but it's still only relevant if the first one is half decent. Edgar has a good video about how to get your grouping sorted when you first start playing, I have always subscribed to the same, I call it 'The V' and I just tell absolute beginners to just aim to hit anywhere in the 1s across to the 5s. Naturally they'll improve with that, but grouping anywhere on the board on a bad dart defies logic

    Hey Bryn, I figured this was the best video to make a comment on.. ive been watching your videos for a little while now and getting some tips and advice and applying it to my own game,, just today I played 501 against a mate and pegged in 14 darts, probably the best leg I've ever played... thank you my friend

    Thanks for the videos, your video on stance helped me soo much. I've been playing for about 3 years so was a fairly competent player, however I wasn't planting myself as solidly as I should have. Over the past few months after watching that vid and your one on 'how to use a marker', I've been hitting more consistent 60s/100s/140s/180s than I ever have. Thanks

      Awesome stuff Jack. It's amazing how many people play for years without knowing a couple of basics added to your technique can improve your consistency and overall game. Thanks for watching mate! 👍🎯

    I really appreciate your willingness to convey to others in a few minutes, what's taken yourself years of hard work and practice to figure out. I learn something new, each video.. This game is easy to play, but ,very hard to play well.

      Thanks Jeb. That's what I'm aiming to do. There's a lot of the darts world that you can only learn by experiencing it as there's not a lot out there to explain what it's really like. Hopefully I can shed light on that and get people comfortable quicker!

    Good vid bud and good advice! It’s funny how many people who are willing to give advice who don’t really know! Back to fundamentals and basics always helps and I often rewatch Wayne’s stuff to remind myself how I SHOULD be throwing!

    Agree with the grouping point, if ur 1st dart is 20 then group, if not theres no point as my 2nd & 3rd dart tend to follow the bad 1st dart

    Great advice mate!!! I’ve heard Bobby George say in an interview with Rob Walker that wherever the first dart goes, try to throw the last 2 darts in the same area as the first dart. Apparently, it improves your grouping!! 👍😁

    Great video Bryn, be honest how many times did it take you to hit your double one 😂 joking aside mate this advice is absolutely spot on. I have been struggling and it had only taken me to correct one thing fundamentslly and now I'm averaging 60. Not alot to some people but a huge significant improvement compared to what I have been hitting recently! Great insight as always bud!

    The ole " just follow up your 1st dart with 2 more right next to it!" Then they say "just do that on the treble 20" Screwed me up for over a month. I had to learn how to rethrow because of it. I am getting better though. Slowly!

    I was playing in a league game. I was marking our first doubles match. The captain played our best player with our weakest
    We ended up on double 16 and it was the weaker players turn. Instead of encouraging him his advice was to miss the board with his 3 darts so he didn't split it. I couldn't believe my ears.

    Hiya mate, great video again.
    Just a quick question, how has your nodor board been compared to the blade 5?

    • @DartsClass
      @DartsClass  4 роки тому

      Honestly, not as good. At the start it was very good, but the older it has got, the longer it has taken for the holes to recover, the dual core on the blade 5 helps the winmaus heal quicker. However I hear great things about the gladiator boards if you're looking to change it up. I'll be getting one of those next I think 👍🎯

    I’m quite a fast player so the one piece of advice I get a lot is “slow down it’s not a marathon” should I be listening to that advice or should I carry on playing my game??

    • @kingrodge1075
      @kingrodge1075 4 роки тому

      Play your game

    • @DartsClass
      @DartsClass  4 роки тому +1

      Depends on if the speed you throw is effecting your game, which I doubt it is... As long as every 3 darts take a similar amount of time you're fine. Sometimes quick throwers throw the 3rd faster than the first 2. Most important thing is to maintain the same pace for all 3 no matter how fast or slow you throw

    • @mbro4490
      @mbro4490 4 роки тому

      So when practicing should I slow down my shots but have the same rhythm when throwing the darts to see if it makes me a better player??

    • @DartsClass
      @DartsClass  4 роки тому +1

      You should try it for sure, but make a record of your standards to compare it to how your 'natural' throw is. But like I say, repeating the same throw 3 times is the most important thing, no matter how fast or slow your natural rhythm is 👍🎯

    • @mbro4490
      @mbro4490 4 роки тому +1

      Thank you for the good advice @dartsclass I shall throw with the same rhythm on all 3 darts but slow down the pace in practice and track my results and compare them to the way I naturally throw the darts. Thanks again. Love your videos. Great content for players like myself 👍🎯

    Not exactly bad advice but a “bad” training habit. If your serious about darts practice when your not having drinks. I have friends that have been playing for years but only on the weekends with cocktails . They would always beat me when we would have some drinks and bbq. Recently I started playing at home in my spare time when not having drinks. 3 months of playing 7 days a week for about 30-60 mins a day and I’m substantially better then them now. When we are drinking I still win but my average does suffer a little.
