He said "grocery store Illuminati" lmaooooo 😂😂😂😂😂
I was dead when he said that..its true and hell a funny
"We shouldn't have to join the grocery store Illuminati to get 10% off." I just died.
His voice is so good for animation.
Would Play A Perfect Pixar Character.
Ndi EKWERE i agree he needs to be on Family Guy
"I checked the buttons" this comedian always does such a great job! lol
Ben Radical loved it
did you check.. ALL the buttons?
"You gotta check the buttons up here and then you check the buttons down hia"
"Are you having pleasure?" should be the new, "How are you?"
MG Wray I know that was my favorite line... are you having pleasure?? It sounds so dirty... lol
MG Wray you watch Steven's Universe?
"This is where Godzilla live" 😂😂😂😂
i love Roy's style.
he's not the "i'm laughing so hard i'm in stitches" kind of funny but I'm always grinning throughout his set.
Perfectly said my thoughts
He's definitely delivered moments that I can't hold in my laughter too though 😂
His longer stories are so much better, this isn't bad at all but he really shines telling long stories. Like one of the finest story-telling comics I've ever seen.
Roy Wood Jr. is by far one of the best comedians I've heard in recent years.
5:45 ... a well deserved standing ovation from the crowd! Roy Wood killed it!
I look at my room and see a naked lightbulb hanging from a cord... Poverty indeed
Mads Vestergaard 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"Nekkid". 💡 It's nekkid lightbulb.
Not going to lie this was pretty good, was dying the whole time but he has a chill ass vibe
glrious !!!
Thermostat Compatibility. SO true.
Those Captain jokes are 🔥
Such a healthy humour with no profanities. Hope to see more of him :)
watch his other routines, he definitely curses. But he's still hilarious
Well that's because it's national tv, the special stuff are all curse words. And it's awesome.
Well it national television, so...
Nice to hear some "clean" jokes for a change! LUV Roy Wood Jr.
“An 82 can’t date a 67”, lol..
The truest thing ever said!
brillant
Then I'm in trouble. I'm 75 and my wife is 61. When I reach 82, she will be 76. I'm in trooooubllllle.
Tru a big problem
This guy is legit funny
"The Daily Show fan" and also "The Tonight Show" fan here.
Great to see this.
he's hilarious at prank calls
Very funny without obscenities, very rare.
This guy is so good, I watched his stand up on a flight and had to bite my tongue to not laugh and wake my neighbor
Love this guy on the daily show! Him and Trevor Noah are hilarious!
date someone you're thermostaticly compatible with!!!! #FACTS.!!! My favorite joke. but it's true.
This dude does the BEST crank calls. Ricky Smiley also is funny as hell. Look up their crank calls.
Wow. He was pretty good. I'm used to seeing him in his role on TDS, but stand up comedy suits him perfectly
Grocery Store Luminati Lmao
Lol, thermastaticly-compatible. Thats gold👌😝💕😺🐾
Grocery store Illuminati !!!! 8-)
Love Roy Wood Jr so much - he is the best
great delivery-- decent jokes
Let's not nitpick, there, brother. Either it was funny or not. A lot of good to great comedians get by on delivery alone.
Euphrates Moss I agree with him though
I just got out of watching Roy Wood's new CC special, Father Figure. It's basically the same jokes, but way more hardcore (he's trying too hard to censor himself here for national TV, and I think it's hurting his material), comes off way better.
Really recommend watching that special, I expected it to be this clever, but never expected it to be that funny, there were moments where I truly laughed my ass off man
I always hate it when comedians have to censor themselves for any reason so I can see where you're coming from. I think the cool thing about this segment is that Roy Wood, Jr. is a lot funnier than The Daily Show unfortunately makes him out to be. Probably a lot of comedy gets blunted on The Daily Show these days because (and I'm sorry to say it, but...) Trevor Noah is not a talented and funny host nor is he a good interviewer. It sucks because I want him to succeed and I want the show to be good in the aftermath of Jon Stewart, but if Noah had come on after Craig Kilborne, we wouldn't even be talking about The Daily Show today.
Mmmmh. I hear you, though I might disagree with you a little bit...
True - Roy Wood is a lot funnier than the Daily Show sets him out to be, because, scripted show and all that... I guess that's the same with all "correspondents" or supporting roles in comedy shows. Think about it: could you have guessed how funny Colbert or John Oliver actually were, before they got their big breaks?
Where I would disagree with you, is the commentary you make about Trevor Noah. Not saying that you're wrong in saying he's less funny than Stewart was, I actually agree with that statement... But I don't think that's why he was chosen... I think it was another one of Stewart's great decisions. First off, the show is hosted on channel called Comedy Central.. I don't think they ever thought that the show would have such an important voice on the scene of political commentary, until Stewart made it what it is... When I say it's one of Stewart's great decisions, what I mean is, I'm pretty sure Stewart felt that the tone and approach of the show would have to change. In the Trump era, I really don't think Stewart's personality would have been as effective as it was in the Bush and Obama years, back when being provocative and aggressive was key... I think Noah is a great pick for his soothing personality: he can bust a great joke (don't know if you've seen his specials? amazing stuff there), but he's mostly there to make subtle points, in a calm manner -- EXACTLY what's needed in these troubled times, don't you think?
Sorry man I wrote my ass off here lol, hope I'm making sense? (and forgive any confusing language, I'm not a native English speaker)
I 100% get what you're saying. And no, I don't think there are any translation issues. Everything you said makes perfect sense. He is a more soothing and measured person if not any more fair (I don't think it got too much fairer than Stewart). I'd like it if there were a point where he outshone Jon Stewart, but as far as the show is concerned I haven't seen it. He's made an average of AT LEAST one solid joke per episode, but the thing you need in comedy and with a show like that is momentum and he hasn't built that up as far as the number of episodes I've seen. And his interview game has been very much iffy, again. He's not as personable with the more talented guests as he could be and his questions aren't always what's burning on your mind about the individual. He's done well with Idris Elba, but he completely fumbled with Tomi Lahren (who I actually don't think should've been on the show at all since all she is is the body and hair of a 24-year-old ditz with the mouth of an 84-year-old crotchety white dipshit like Clint Eastwood or Jon Voigt). Remaining as balanced as I can be about the direction TDS has gone since Jon Stewart's departure (which Jon should've done, he was getting tired), I think Comedy Central should've cancelled TDS and kept The Nightly Show as Wilmore was several levels above Noah in terms of delivery, he was also fair, and the show was a lot sharper, probably thanks to the inimitable talents of Executive Producer Rory Albanese. The episode in which Larry hosted the entire show as Soul Daddy was seemingly divinely inspired (every crack he made was golden) and a number of sideliners submitted some very solid bits and some were even stars in their own right.
"This is where Godzilla Life!" Wow... just wow..
I love when he says” this where Godzilla live bro!”” Godzilla ain’t even teal but he makes it real!! Love it:-)

That's not the usual Roy. That is the Tonight Show clean version and I'm impressed. That was hard enough I'm sure but to just jump in and establish the premise and go. Man that's double tough.
that was some decent funny good stand up comedy. enjoyed it a lot :D
Roy has the best intercom voice and sound fx out there. So funny.
Solid set from Roy Wood, Jr. This man's talent is greater than The Daily Show would suggest.
