This what happens to the fish in my club water . Their are no bream. Just car
P bigger baits a waiting game. Small baits screamers and sometimes with a bigger bait they sometimes slip the hook when landing. Being a barbless hook venue . The amount of small bleeps on a larger hook does increase so I have to address the sensitivity on my alarm.

Seems to me that you would be WAY better off with a bait that lays on the bottom instead of a bait that is 1-2 inches off of it. Carp naturally feed on the bottom, not just above it. In a lot of the videos I’ve seen they’re spooked by boilies suspended just off of the bottom......
