    Give Bernie credit for saying he agrees on some things from the other side. That is one thing that is so rotten with partisan politics. Either a politician is 100% right on everything or 100% wrong. No one can go across the aisle and acknowledge where they may agree on some things.

    • @christopherd5941
      @christopherd5941 8 днів тому

      @@CyrilCommando I’m pretty sure it’s a consensus in the scientific community that appropriate amounts of fluoride is a benefit to dental health and bone formation.
      The major problem I would have about fluoride in our drinking water is that we typically can get enough of it just from our toothpaste alone twice a day. There’s probably not much reason for us to be consuming it in our tap water….HOWEVER, being from Eastern Kentucky I can tell you now that the majority of people that drink tap water HERE, aren’t brushing their teeth in the first place. So the fluoride in the water is probably about the only thing they typically got going for them.
      If you don’t really consume too much tap water, it’s likely not affecting you in the slightest, as fluoride doesn’t accumulate in the body and it cannot be easily absorbed through the skin. So the tap water you come into contact with showers or baths, not really a problem. If you don’t use fluoride toothpaste or don’t brush your teeth regularly (more people than you may think) you probably wanna have a glass or two of tap water.
      If you brush your teeth regularly with non-fluoride toothpaste, you may want to brush up to two or three times per day, just to stave off any potential cavities. Don’t brush too heavily because it can cause gum recession and the abrasives in toothpaste can actually wear away enamel.
      This isn’t really directed toward the commenter specifically. I’m pretty sure they’re just ignorant on the subject, but for anyone else that may want to question such a claim to begin with.
      Fluoride in large amounts can obviously be a problem, but there’s just no way anyone on a typical day is consuming that much, even if they don’t drink anything but tap. You’re probably more likely to kick the bucket from hyponatremia before fluoride intoxication. Fluoride intoxication has happened in the past from public water sources, but these have all been accidental. However, I agree that as long as you use fluoride toothpaste, there’s probably no real benefit to drinking tap water that has a bit of fluoride in it.

What we pay for prescription drugs in the USA is extremely rediculos. It screams price gouging and corporate capture of government. Europeans can't even conceive of how much we are being gouged when we buy medicine in the USA. The Medical Industrial Complex in the ISA is pure anticompetition. The medical bills here detail everything down to the line item and make sense. In the USA it is hard to figure out what was being paid for even when you get your insurance company's report for what they pay and what you owe out of pocket.

    It's concerning when Republicans come in with an anti-government and deregulation attitude that feels like it could sabotage protections in the food industry. RFK feels there are issues in food over ingredients or use of pesticides, but will the Trump administration abolish the FDA? Or other 'Red Tape' regulations?
    I mean, I get it, government often seems like it just creates a hassle for everyone and business, but many of the issues probably come from Lobbying interest or interference.

      What “protections” does the FDA offer right now exactly? Our foods are literally poison that are full

    • @marishapeters1647
      @marishapeters1647 8 днів тому +1

      Their deregulation stances have been for business more than anything? The tight regulations make it hard for small business to thrive and compete with big business and that’s what they talk about when it comes to deregulation. RFK is advocating for MORE testing when it comes to medical and health so I don’t see the issue here. Yeah, maybe they want raw milk accessible but people can choose whether or not to drink that.
      They can’t abolish the FDA but I sure hope they clean it out. These organizations are funded by people who have their own interests at heart. For example why are they only studying drugs but there are little to no studies done on herbs, plants, etc? I don’t see people like bill gates funding studies for things like that but he will fund studies for vaxxes and meds that we don’t necessarily need

    Flouridated water is a good idea, however, there have been confirmed findings that excessive exposure to fluoride causes sterility in human females. How about we educate people and strongly encourage them to use fluoride toothpoaste and mouthwash and avoid ingesting it en masse?

    ❤❤❤ Eating is easy. Very easy. You don’t need a scientist or a doctor to eat. Everything grows in nature. If it doesn’t grow, don’t eat it. If it has an ingredient list with lot of strange words, don’t eat it. Just respect that Life and God have created all we need to be healthy and heal. Eat a mostly raw, organic, fresh, low fat plantbased diet. It’s very colorful and very tasteful. You can, and should, eat a lot of it and you will never gain weight. That food doesn’t need massive marketing campaigns, it speaks for itself. And until we have restored our depleted soils, take some high quality supplements as liquid zinc, liquid B12, C-vitamin, lemon balm and others. ❤❤❤

    There's no reason to add fluoride in the water other than to help seal microscopic cracks in the pipes. 30% of the population has thyroid issues which does not happen because if 30% of the population was confirmed to have thyroid disease than we would have a public health crisis and we would have to address fluoridated water programs.

    On flouride, when we cut it out for our family, we stopped getting cavities! Have not had a single one in our home the past 3 years, before that, we always had atleast 1 kid with a cavity.
    On vaccines, look at the evidence, decide for yourself.

    The type of fluoride that naturally occurs in water isn't the same type of fluoride that is added to the water. It's my understanding that the type added isn't bioavailable. In other words, your body can't use it. I wish someone would communicate this to the public. Instead the media is arguing about whether fluoride is good or bad. If your body can't use it then what's the point? Also, fluoride chelates calcium so it can cause osteoporosis. Let's learn about the mineral system boys and girls.

      To quote the Linus Pauling Institute that has a pretty informative page on fluoride "The majority of studies conducted to date have failed to find clinically significant differences in bone mineral density (BMD) or fracture incidence when comparing residents of areas with fluoridated water supplies to residents in areas without fluoridated water supplies." Most of them show reduced rates of hip fractures in communities with fluoridated water but they're not strong enough to be statistically significant. That doesn't point at all to osteoporosis. Also fluoride doesn't chelate anything, it gets chelated (like calcium) -- I think there was one study from 2014 where low-calcium fluoridated water was correlated with lower bone density in sheep, but livestock have terrible monodiets so I don't think that study was very applicable to people.

      The concentration of fluoride is much greater at the dentist, which is why they make you spit it out. Fluoride, when added in safe amounts to the water supply, strengthens teeth against cavities.

      They don't put large enough amounts of fluoride in the water for it to be dangerous. It has been found many times over to be safe, and beneficial to people's tooth and bone health.
