Reminds me of my childhood when in my village i used to run without no regrets as the train passed by, it was spring, and i now crave to go back to that feeling of calm. That kid screaming makes me remember the moment i was laying in the ground as the tree shed their leaves, and the train passed by making sound. Such a nostalgia. Hope someone has had a similar experience
Most of Geinoh Yamashirogumi's music is on UA-cam fwiw. Osorezan/Dounokenbai is their first album and most after that (spare a live release) are readily available. I didn't enjoy anything released after their soundtrack to Akira but almost everything prior absolutely slaps.
when they were going to create the anime, the director just wanted to use the album this was from as the sound track - but they insisted on making a new album for them instead.
Akira brought me here. I’d like to say, this sounds very African for Japanese music. I never knew it was Japanese until I looked up the sound. Beautiful ❤❤❤
@Carlos Alberto Garrido González perhaps where we left off in Akita’s universe where Kaneda and the rest are or maybe the universe that Tetsuo and the others made? I would love to see an Akira 2 or maybe a Tetsuo movie where he’s guided by Akira and the other 3 telekinetics’.
What an amazing piece of music. Simply otherwordly!
Its one of Balinese music instrument, we called it Jegog, beautiful collaboration 👍
9:56 onward is possibly my favorite bit of music, ever.
I get the skin shivers dude!
I can't stop listening to it. It's beautiful.

Thanks for the post. My all time favorite Geinoh Yamashirogumi.

You’ll appreciate this if you’ve played kenshi
I wish this amazing Japanese collective had more than 1 track on Spotify.
Same, Apple Music is lucky to have one album
It's upsetting because they didn't even put on the full album, just the one track.
Two words:
Soul. Seek.
i think it could be regional blockers but i haven’t tested that idea yet (can’t afford vpn)

I can't begin to tell you the memories this song has for me. Thanks for the upload!
I'm so glad that I have chance to expierence this soulful exotic music
The best song ever recorded.
My favorite track on this EP. I absolutely love the switch up at 6:07
used to listen to this in class to wake me up in the morning LOL what a track...
What James Joyce saw in Finnegan's Wake, I see in this song. The meaning of everything.
Finnegans Wake*
Heavy Akira vibes at the beginning. Aside from that tho the entire album is a wonder
Well they did the Akira soundtrack after all.
@@metempsychosis6083 yeah absolutely
Wow, this is like a hidden track on Akira's OST.
!!!

@@0ldar very unique an interseting. The West certainly had never seen anything like that before, when Akira came out!
this cover art is awesome! so cool

it's Indonesian i think , it's gamelan a very very cool genre . Not an expert so I may be wrong
@Johnalk you got it right. The music comes from Indonesia mainly from Bali where the instruments originate
On and on it goes, life, death and rebirth, perpetual cycle of pain, happiness and wisdom for the good students.
Never thought I would experience something so hauntingly beautiful as this.
Thats called "Jegog" in Bali, the instrument is from district Jembrana.
Profound, overwhelming, beautiful, exotic.
3:31 requiem akira

It sounds like AKIRA's sequel soundtrack...💗
It's the album that convinced Otomo to hire the group for the Akira soundtrack.
@@RandomAccessDreams yeah I know. I just wanted to say I hope this beautiful music will be used for AKIRA 2 XD

@Carlos Alberto Garrido González The movie essentially leaves out half the story. If you want a sequel just read the rest of the manga series.
A prequel about Akira would be amazing.
sounds like requiem from Akira in slow motion
There's this one anime my dad showed me called "AKIRA" and the soundtracks are from the people who made this song.
Yup, your dad is right. Though this song and the album it's part of predates the release of AKIRA.
6:00 sample rememwr 2023

Anime?
Requiem for Japanese anime AKIRA
There are no parts.
There is something really off-putting and overwhelming about this music
In a negative way ?
good that means the vibes are working
