I have to say, Joelle was destroyed by her mentor. Foo never understood how to showcase Joelle and so she got slammed by the judges for not connecting to the song. Reigan is much better at killing whatever song she's been given, but I still feel like Foo really has no idea who she is. He's just lucky that her star power shines no matter what. It's killing me to see her so down the last couple of critiques.

Just listened to this through the headphones, and it was massive. If you try to imagine its not the wonderfully beautiful Reigan singing it, and just listen to how brilliantly it is sung, then I think she nailed this curve ball. Probably the only genuine curve ball of the evening, and yet still she owned it. Well done Reigan. And I am the first to dislike the over sexualisation of female artists, but to me there is nothing over sexualised about what she wears or how she acts.

Ok. Let me explain this scenario to the simpletons with a lot of free dark space between their ears, who think Nat and Dannii are in the right. 1. This song was MEANT to not click with Reigan, because that is what makes it a "Curveball". If you didn't already realise, that was the theme of this week. No one CARES what the contestants said in their auditions, those things are so long gone, its history. Dannii is clearly nitpicking. Even if it did matter to some of you, let me kindly explain. THE SHOW HAS A THEME EVERY WEEK to which the contestants must adhere to (to show their versatility and range), change up every week, to bring out their star quality through means of extravagance and great production value, including top tier choreography where needed. Most of these things are decided by professionals in their respective industries for the contestants. Yes they may have a say in whether they want to wear it or not, but the people in charge of wardrobe and makeup know what they're doing to maximise that superstar effect and audience engagement - and they do a pretty damn good job of it week in, week out. The whole point of this show is to see how the contestants will fair under all the pressure, glamour and bright lights. At this stage, it is NOT about how they brand themselves (ahemm, Dannii "I want to know the real Reigan!" - oh just fuck off). That all comes later when they enter the industry, and people want to know what they are buying and getting into, not now in these initial stages in a silly reality TV shows, overrun by tweens who fall heads over heals for boy bands and Bieber wannabes.

The one judge who doesn't get their act this year is DANNII. She DID NOT even believe in BRO3 enough to put them through. SHE is turning her VERY unique act into a VEGAS tribute act and we all saw it based on tonight's production of Sound Of silence. How she could butcher such a timeless piece is beyond me. I think she is right about the image foo, the producers and the production company has been presenting Reigan though. I would have really enjoyed this more if she was in her everyday clothes, the way we see her clips in the studio, with her ripped jeans, hoodie and beanie.. Just sitting and singing with her guitar.

What they meant is that this performance was full of anger and frustration.. Since she's not a weirdo she put all the emotions she felt last week into the performance.. I agree with you..I watched this using my tablet with the headphone and this is definitely great. She has the most soulful voice and she's the most passionate in this competition. Australia should realize that this lady wanted to win and she deserves it. Vote wisely.

They do the same stupid mindgames on our xf-us show.....just go watch when kelly rowland tried to sabotage alex and sierra as they came into their own and then had to eat her words later. Simon is shown behind the scenes alex and sierra it was just the typical mindgames strategy used on these shows to tear down contestants. They can't control the votes, so they attack contestants to make them trip up or falter in later performances. i think simon does it too, but he is more careful to have facts to back up his statements usually.

I think that was the best perfomance she ever make. She was sing just perfectly and with passion. I was touch about the powerful of her voice. I don't know if what i say his english because i am French and i don't speak very well but i hope you understand.
Reigan always delivers the best performance in terms of her voice quality and technicality, cementing herself a strong position for the grand final. If this other judge wants to build her own team up by knocking other contestants down unreasonably, good luck, cos the whole nation know what you are up to.
When a man sings this song, expression of the anger is clearer and more visible. Reigan's interpretation was different. You can feel cool, restrained and crooked rage from her voice and that's even more effective to get deeper into "Creep's" soul. Magnificent long notes.
I agree with the female judges. I watched through all of her live performances, and my opinion is that the very first audition of hers was the best. Fu's music style just does not bring out the best of her. She was so pure, modest, and humble in her voice during the first audition, and that is what I loved about her.

You know, as a judge, if you want to tell someone their performance was subpar or just out and out stank, that's something that might be expected at times. However, to say that someone was overly aggressive or was carrying anger in the performance is just BS. That particular song is about someone crying out in anger and pain, so why shouldn't that come through in the performance. These judges are sensing this girl is vulnerable right now, and they're so enjoying twisting the knife.

This is one of her best performances if not the best. It was raw. It was full of emotion and spirit. She sang from deep down. She channeled whatever it is she was feeling. That is a true artist. Adaptability. Someone who draws for their experiences and expresses it through their music. She isnt a one trick pony that Nat apparently wants her to be. That kind of artist gets old quick and fades away. It was simple. Just her and her guitar. This allowed the focus to be on her and her talent. I've always loved this song but this version is better than the original. This sent chills down my spine. It was haunting. I felt like I was watching and established artist perform her own single. She has it. A shame shr went home too soon. The voters got it wrong.

And what they r saying it was aggressive like if she was upset for being in the bottom 2 last week and she was not, disappointed but not angry. She sang like Foo told her to now I agree I didn't like the song choice, first time. Google just didn't do a good job.

Jillian W I don't think her outfits are oversexualised at all, she is not wearing tiny shorts and bras, she is dressed to look a woman, a singer star. She has been dressed the same style of sexy woman week after week why is that nasty comment coming out only now. Judges are in a fighting mood and if it means put down someone who doesn't deserve it to bend voters opinion they will do it.

This was a great performance, but it did not help shape her as an artist; if anything it just made things a bit confusing as to what kind of artist she is going to be..
I agree with you..I watched this using my tablet with the headphone and this is definitely great. She has the most soulful voice and she's the most passionate in this competition. Australia should realize that this lady wanted to win and she deserves it. Vote wisely.
SO TOTALLY AGREE WITH THIS COMMENT...THE JUDGES ARE THE PROBLEM....NOT THE TALENTED CONTESTANTS. They do the same stupid mindgames on our xf-us show.....just go watch when kelly rowland tried to sabotage alex and sierra as they came into their own and then had to eat her words later. Simon is shown behind the scenes alex and sierra it was just the typical mindgames strategy used on these shows to tear down contestants. They can't control the votes, so they attack contestants to make them trip up or falter in later performances. i think simon does it too, but he is more careful to have facts to back up his statements usually.

danni needs to shut her trap. used to like her, now i lose respect for her. she totally took a low stab at reigan. in all her performances she dressed appropriately and was never over-sexualized i.e. half naked. reigan has talent and clearly she doesn't want her to win or go forward, cause look at tactics here, marlisa has alot of followers and so does dean, so if she singles out reigan then more votes for b3 who shud have left the competition a long time ago. i really hope the finals belong to reigan, marlisa and dean.

I think that was the best perfomance she ever make. She was sing just perfectly and with passion. I was touch about the powerful of her voice. I don't know if what i say his english because i am French and i don't speak very well but i hope you understand.
Reigan always delivers the best performance in terms of her voice quality and technicality, cementing herself a strong position for the grand final. If this other judge wants to build her own team up by knocking other contestants down unreasonably, good luck, cos the whole nation know what you are up to.

When a man sings this song, expression of the anger is clearer and more visible. Reigan's interpretation was different. You can feel cool, restrained and crooked rage from her voice and that's even more effective to get deeper into "Creep's" soul. Magnificent long notes.
I agree with the female judges. I watched through all of her live performances, and my opinion is that the very first audition of hers was the best. Fu's music style just does not bring out the best of her. She was so pure, modest, and humble in her voice during the first audition, and that is what I loved about her.

You know, as a judge, if you want to tell someone their performance was subpar or just out and out stank, that's something that might be expected at times. However, to say that someone was overly aggressive or was carrying anger in the performance is just BS. That particular song is about someone crying out in anger and pain, so why shouldn't that come through in the performance. These judges are sensing this girl is vulnerable right now, and they're so enjoying twisting the knife.
Oh boy, I guess I am in the minority on this song, I really like it. I guess some comments below go both ways, but I guess we all have opinions--give her a strong like from me.

This is one of her best performances if not the best. It was raw. It was full of emotion and spirit. She sang from deep down. She channeled whatever it is she was feeling. That is a true artist. Adaptability. Someone who draws for their experiences and expresses it through their music. She isnt a one trick pony that Nat apparently wants her to be. That kind of artist gets old quick and fades away. It was simple. Just her and her guitar. This allowed the focus to be on her and her talent. I've always loved this song but this version is better than the original. This sent chills down my spine. It was haunting. I felt like I was watching and established artist perform her own single. She has it. A shame shr went home too soon. The voters got it wrong.

I just don't understand Danni and the over sexualised thing - Reigan is basically completely covered apart from a bit of cleavage and has never worn anything drastically 'sexy'. I think it's harsh to confine Reigan to completely covering herself up or whatever form it may take, just because she doesn't want to be 'over-sexualised' - it's her choice on what is crossing the line between sexy and overly sexy.
