I travel low cost a lot, that´s why I know that for me it would be waste of money, that could be used elsewhere :) But it´s just me personally :) I think it´s great, that something like SAS exists, and a lot of young people participate in this :) I bet that the community and atmosphere must be amazing on a ship :)
      And I think my opinion is different mostly because I am not from USA.. I'm from Slovakia, where University is free of charge and all I need to pay are common life expenses like food, accommodation etc.. :) I might be looking at this differently if we would be forced to pay for education :)

    • @eb.3764

      @PRESTON BRANTON I can only speak from personal experience in Ontario but average tuition is 6 to 9000 dollars for each year depending on your major. I paid another 9000 for rez + meal plan. So in total for my second year it cost maybe? 18,000. But I only ended paying for my living costs (9000) because of the various grants we can get (I took out zero loans).
      But provinces like Newfoundland for example tuition is dirt cheap like 2000 for a year in university. Out of province people used to be able to pay "in-province" fees but they changed that and now Canadians outside of Newfoundland pay maybe 3-4000? which is still significantly cheaper than ontario.
      Now if we're talking about colleges/polytechnics (Y'all americans call them community college) that is even cheaper. Around 4-8000 depending on your program.

      Those life drawing classes though-- just drawing the sea constantly.
      You'd have to cellotape your work down tho, you wouldn't want the boat to rock and your wet painting to go flying across the room lmao

      The course they off are broad in topic! But art is always offered in some form! A Drawing class and a photography class were offered my semester. And you do have a lot of work bc classes are accelerated but you don’t have classes meeting in-country. Most people just take 4 classes = 12 credits. A good semester for electives or gen. req. courses needed at your school.

  • @juicyluxury
    @juicyluxury 5 років тому +4

    everyone is saying the price is crazy... it’s actually fairly cheap, considering you’re getting a semester of college education, you go to like 10 different countries for almost a week each, you have food, a place to stay, a cruise experience. So... if you were to individually add up all those expenses its way more than 20 grand
