Hi I actually attended the university and I live in the area. black people do go wine tasting a lot especially the students. Also remember that it is corona vibes out there. There are no students around and people are just getting back to work and earning salaries. Expect that place to be fully "colorized" as soon as things get back to normal. The vibe is also different. We don't go wine tasting every weekend because there are so many other things to do. And the wine is available everywhere at a cheap price, it's unnecessary to go wine tasting every time. Also, many people of colour stay in that area and feel it's unnecessary to go wine tasting when you can buy the wine and enjoy the same views without having to go to that particular farm Lol I hope I helped to explain
yes and it's available everywhere, along with the beautiful scenery. there are also other wine farms across the province and other types of alcohol tasting. I once went for a whisky and nougat pairing and it was fun.

Cape Town is enjoyable. We went and stayed for 7 days in December 2018 -- flew in from Johannesburg (where I'm from) and went to The House of J.C. Le Roux, another popular wine farm (vineyard) in Stellenbosch, but they make sparkling wines. Did some exploring; eating out; went to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens; spent an afternoon at the beach; went jet skiing; spent New Year's Eve at a 5FM gig and of course -- not forgetting Long Street. Have been there a few times. I've enjoyed travelling around South Africa, Including Sun City (NW), Mpumalanga (Graskop, Kruger National Park, etc), Limpopo and Durban. Was supposed to spend my birthday in Moçambique in April, but alas, Covid-19 happened. I've always enjoyed traveling, despite being black. Many South Africa love traveling overseas for leisure, even around to Africa. It's just that some don't show it much on social media. Many of us we've visited those wine farms before. What I've noticed locally, many of our South Africans travel mostly to the warmer east coast, Durban or Mozambique. Unlike the cooler West Coast. Hey Tayo, awesome video as usual! I do think it has a lot more to do with mindset and financial barrier for a lot of people. The reality of things is that people would always prioritize what is most glorified in their social cultures. Exploration isn’t promoted in Nigeria and this goes beyond physical exploration to exploring via Reading as well. Materialistic wealth is much more exalted. And none of this is going to change anytime soon until we start conversing about the things that matter most. I’m Nigerian btw
Black South African woman here. I think that Black people do want to travel and experience the world around them. Travelling, especially in Africa, is just really expensive and thus inaccessible. Even 'budget' travel, is not affordable for most Africans.
Tayo you've hit the nail on the head ive said this many times although there are now many middle class black south africans who travel and explore more .we still don't have this culture of traveling and the sad thing is these places you showing in cape town are not expensive at all.So more black people from. The diaspora and africa need to travel and spend there money especially in sa we have everything here:-)Great video bro!
I remember traveling to the wild coast from Pretoria with young family. The whole trip cost me only R6000. If only our mindset could change instead of spending our disposable income on only entertainment
This is so encouraging coz most of us we were not exposed to traveling and all that, so guys you so much for these kinds of contants🔥💯🇿🇦 This actually broadens our capacity to see beyond what we see and used to, I also love traveling but sometimes we don't have means to do so, I still have a dream of traveling the Continent. Wonder video btw 🌟🌟🌟 Ok so to answer your question it's not like we don't want to explore....I'm from Nigeria and I'd say the government gets you so focused on how dangerous things are that you forget how wonderful they truly are.
Honestly bro, it's not that We, as Black people, don't like travelling or exploring but rather that the vast majority of us are often financially not able to experience such luxuries in life, even if they are relatively cheap to tourists who regularly visit the country. In my experience, most people of colour cannot afford to leave their birthplaces and tour the many amazing attractions that the country or even the continent has, people are still out here trying to fight poverty dude. Really think the channel and your content is dope man! Thank you so much for the exposure, I wish many more Africans could experience what Africa has to offer...
well I guess it all has to do with curiosity and upbringing. If from childhood you were exposed to images and stories of other places you may develop a curious mind and a hunger to see those places. And if mobility has always accompanied you it makes it a lot easier for you to go else where e.g going to boarding school in a different state than the one your parents live in, growing up in a different state than were you are from and having the festive season traveling as an essential part of your childhood memories. I love SA went in 2004 cant wait to good back.
In this video I saw, Tayo went to 3 different wine farms in South Africa. They are; Cavalli Wine Farm: Wines are named after horses here. Wines aren't expensive as expected as it cost at least #1000. Hidden Valley Wine Farm: It's got good landscape with nice views and wines are named after the beautiful sculptures there. Graff Wine Farm: This is the most expensive of them all with touch of luxury with an auxiliary space for an helicopter. Wines are expensive here and it cost at least #1900

Thanks for sharing 🙏🏾. Insightful
Black South African woman here. I think that Black people do want to travel and experience the world around them. Travelling, especially in Africa, is just really expensive and thus inaccessible. Even 'budget' travel, is not affordable for most Africans.
Thank you Tayo, your work unites as Africans. Let us make it our mission to travel the rest of Africa.
We love your videos. We can't wait to travel to some of the beautiful countries in Africa you have highlighted.
The quality of your videos is superb👌🏾
Tayo you've hit the nail on the head ive said this many times although there are now many middle class black south africans who travel and explore more .we still don't have this culture of traveling and the sad thing is these places you showing in cape town are not expensive at all.So more black people from. The diaspora and africa need to travel and spend there money especially in sa we have everything here:-)Great video bro!
Thanks for sharing 🙏🏾
I remember traveling to the wild coast from Pretoria with young family. The whole trip cost me only R6000. If only our mindset could change instead of spending our disposable income on only entertainment
What a great adventure! SA is truly beautiful. I like travelling except for the financial constraints.
Did you know that Cape Town's Route 62 Is the World's Longest Wine Route
Thank you for exposing us
Great tour Tayo
I Lived 7 years in Capetown l love that place ...
Yohh Mzansi🇿🇦 is beautiful
Premium content as always!!👌🏿❤️
Tayo, those are locals. South Africa, especially Capetown, has a sizable white population. I thought everyone knew this
exactly what i said....Those whites are south Africans cos no international travels to SA yet.
Hierdie moegoe weet fokkel
some of them could be tourists.. but actually not rn due to coroina right?
This is so encouraging coz most of us we were not exposed to traveling and all that, so guys you so much for these kinds of contants🔥💯🇿🇦
This actually broadens our capacity to see beyond what we see and used to, I also love traveling but sometimes we don't have means to do so, I still have a dream of traveling the Continent. I think Africa is amazing.
When you get a chance please come to the Eastern Cape Province 🇿🇦🔥💯 I'd be honored to be your tour guide 😀💃
We are conditioned to save for the rainy day and traveling is an expense to be avoided
An expense that could bring more cash
Africa is very beautiful. I hope we get to appreciate some valuable things we have in Africa. Weldone Tayo...
Love you Tayo!
You are the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are the best 👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽
Just found your page! Thanks for exposing us to such beautiful places in Arica!
Thanks for bringing this to us Tayo💞
Just the episode I was waiting for
Great vid Tayo!
As you are travelling and showing us, we are with you. Virtual travel is the latest thing 😂😂
😅
Beautiful... imma be there soon
😂😂😂...it's unbelievable but I hit that like button as soon as you told that instructor that the wine smells horrible... I am a superfan of honest people like you Tayo...keep it up...👌
Great content. Informative and instructive. Thanks
Wonder video btw 🌟🌟🌟 Ok so to answer your question it's not like we don't want to explore....I'm from Nigeria and I'd say the government gets you so focused on how dangerous things are that you forget how wonderful they truly are.
Great content super drone shots... Nice work.
You haven't been to Cape Town if u haven't visited the Winelands, Robben Island & Table Mountain.
Signal hill as well and hiking lion's head
Im from Atlanta, I been to all them, I love Cape Town my favorite city in the world
@@memezeus2323 Really, Most visitors, especially black ones from the US. All they can talk about is all the whites living there.
well I guess it all has to do with curiosity and upbringing.
Insightful . Thanks for sharing!
❤❤ your video quality is superb 🎉🎉 this is 3rd channel subscribing 😅
Great review 🇿🇦 (africa United)
The videography is stellar
Another great video. It's not that we don't like travelling, It's just that we aren't moving around during this pandemic.
Keep up the great work tayo..
Love the message you are preaching, we should explore our continent 💪
In this video I saw, Tayo went to 3 different wine farms in South Africa. They are;
Cavalli Wine Farm: Wines are named after horses here.
Thanks for the breakdown!! 👊🏽
