      @@CortexNewsService i'm sitting at home with more than 3 feet of snow on the ground.. and its just the beginning. tonight we expect 6-12 inches. we dont melt here till mid-april. NE Washington. We just got out of our -12 to -20 deg weather, for now. I love it!! Think I'll make some tea.

      Is instant tea tea? is instant coffee coffee? NO! But the cider is -kind- of tea, because it's not the pure juice but steeped apple bits. But it's still instant stuff, not like the pod-style stuff

      It's literally just an instant drink powder not tea in even the broadest definition of the word lol. If you call that tea then instant lemonade powder is tea. Or powdered Gatorade. Or crystal light.

    "Lavender in cake, that's not a thing." Yes it is, last year I made a cake with swirled lavender and rose buttercream frostings for my girlfriend's birthday.

      I find a lot of lavender stuff in Montana. In some bakeries they put it in coffee as well.

      A local apiary used to make her own infused honey and one of her best sellers was the chamomile lavender honey (*wonderful* for teas). The top three were rounded out by the chocolate honey (fair trade and all that) and, oddly, the habañero honey.

    The spiced apple cider is incredible. It's what got me to really start trying different cider based beverages from non-alcoholic to alcoholic. I do think if it had half the sugar it would be even better as it can be a weeeeeee bit too sweet, but it is phenomenal regardless. ~Be Blessed

      They make a sugar free but it's got aspartame. I wish beverage companies would make "light" versions. A bit of artificial sweetener (not aspartame or saccharine lol) and a bit of sugar.

    I use the spiced apple cider for hot toddy’s. It’s great with any whiskey! Use fireball for a big cinnamon kick 🥃

    Sorry try channel, the "Apple cider" packet is not a tea. It is exactly what it says, powdered apple cider drink. But I agree, it is a delicious change from coffee and tea in general. Love this episode. You showed me a few new ones I've never heard of. And the birthday cake one sounds gross. Love you all! 💜💜💜💜

    OMG DAMON! I can't believe he actually said that! I nearly spit out my tea! ROFL. Not a fan of flavored teas. I drink 3 quarts of unsweetened iced tea each day. Plain tea, no sugars or sweeteners is the way I like it. Licorice spice??? Sounds gross. But I could be convinced to try that apple cider one. Sounds delish.

      I think licorice root is used more as a natural sweetener for herbal teas. You can taste a little tingle of it on the tongue, but mostly the sweet comes through.

    Aw, the cider is something I grew up drinking whenever we watched a play in the outdoor forest theatre. Cold nights, ocean breeze and that exact cider packet. Brings back great memories.

    Thats funny you guys never had the apple cider stuff, i grew up on it! I even got a packet at home from my mom from xmas haha. I never really considered it a tea though. But i guess if powdered chai tea is a thing, then this can be considered tea too 🤷‍♂️

      I agree, it's not really a tea in my mind either. When I think of something that is made from steeping something in hot water. Apple Cider which that packet is intended to be a quick version of is unfiltered apple juice that's been heated and spiced. Maybe I don't define Tea the same way as other people?

      Technically only drinks made from the leaves of the tea tree are "tea" but since the term has been colloquially applied to "infusions" (like most herbal drinks e.g. chamomile), then yes, it's a sort of tea... but then again, I also classify cereal as a type of soup and tacos as a style of sandwich...

    Nothing beats a good cuppa to make you feel at home and happy.
    My gran had a tea scale for people who came round. If you were alright, not daft, not an 'aws'ole', then you were offered a cuppa tea. If you proved yourself to be a goodun, you were given the distinct honour of pouring the tea. And then, you were truly family when you were asked to make the tea (not just put the kettle on, everybody had to do that, haha!).

    I'm not huge on dandelion root teas but I do really enjoy dandelion flower tea. It has a floral, almost buttery taste.

    Yeah, we switched to the hot apple cider with a shot of brandy, for when I'm a good boy and I go out and plow the snow out of the driveway. Much better than hot chocolate or coffee.

    I use the cider packet when I cook a turkey. Butter, sage, thyme, cider mix, apples and onions mixed together and put under the skin to flavor the neat. Can also buy the cider mix in a light version.

    For the #STASH Tea, my sister actually makes popsicles out of that specific flavor. They're really good too!

      I love Stash teas, my favorite is “Christmas in Paris,” which is a peppermint-lavender-chocolate. It sounds like a weird combination, but it’s truly decadent and delicious!

    I love the sugar free spiced cider & my favorite thing to do with it is dump it into a cup of tea. My favorite is a draw between peach & orange spice.

    I clicked on this because it was in my feed. And now I'm enjoying my tea, watching you all enjoy your tea. And my apple-y tea has no sugar. But instead of missing the sugar, I just wish there was some brandy or whiskey in there. Yup.

    i discovered Stash Tea's Decaf Chocolate Hazelnut tea last summer and omg it is amazing! Nice subtle balanced blend 10/10 would recommend

      @@lisamelroy2855 i have like 14 different kinds of tea, some have caffeine, others don't. I am freakishly susceptible to the jitters, so if I want sleep, it's all decaf after about 2pm, lol.

    You've inspired me to get my Barry's and have a hot evening cup. I really like Paddy and Paul together. And the cider is so good. We have that here in America (I'm in VA) it's also great with some Jamesons and a lemon slice in it. Wink wink

    Front porch special is my favorite Piper and Leaf tea. It's local to me and they have amazing flavors year round. It's as good iced as it is hot.

    You need to take that apple cider packet and combine it with Stash Holiday Chai tea. Omg... The best mix ever. This is how I drink it. You won't be disappointed. 😉

    Piper & Leaf is a great brand from Huntsville, Alabama, USA. Front Porch, iced and sweetened, is my family's goto. we make it by the gallon. You can buy it by the gallon from one of their stores in town.

    I love Stash brand tea! The one that got me hooked was their Ginger Peach green tea (has matcha in it). It's amazing!!

      ​@@cptjeff1, it seems to be a toss-up...the apple cider has immensely more Vitamin C in it (Kool-Aid tops at 10-20% per serving, the cider has *80%*), but it appears that the cider has more sugar added to it than the "less sugar" Kool-Aid (20g in the cider, 16g in the Kool-Aid)...but that last part may be half a serving of the Kool-Aid.

    I love Stash Tea.I ordered the fall and winter holiday boxes .Pumpkin spice,cranberry pomegranate,cinnamon apple chamomile,spice dragon red chai(cinnamon, rooibos,ginger root and clove),hoilday Chai(cinnamon,ginger root,gingerbread flavors,nutmeg oil) ,Christmas in Paris(lavender,vanilla extract,peppermint),Christmas Eve(cinnamon,spearmint,orange oil,vanilla extract) and Christmas Morning(blended black tea and jasmine green tea)

    Did a weird experiment once with the apple cider. Added a pack of it into my drip coffee maker and made spiced apple coffee.

    I like Stash's Chocolate Mint tea and Harney and Sons' Blueberry Green tea. Organic India makes a DELIGHTFUL cinnamon rose tea, and Celestial Seasons does an amazing Black Cherry Berry herbal tea.
    I mean, there's enough amazing teas out there to make seven or eight more tea videos, easy.

    Rosehip tea is my absolute favorite!!!! Tastes good and smells devine!!! I would bathe in it if I could. Maybe it's easier to find or maybe even "normal" in Ireland though.

    Bigelow's Constant Comment tea is my all-time favorite. It's a highly aromatic black tea with oranges, cloves, and sweet spices. (Signature tea of the Bigelow family.

    I live in TX and I much prefer tea to coffee. Love Earl Grey and a tea called Constant Comment by Bigelow.

    In space they have a bag type container with powder in it that hooks into a hydrating contraption that injects hot or cold water according to what it is. Then it has a straw type of nozzle with an on/off valve. Place in mouth, open valve, close valve, swallow.
    I learned a lot from Chris Hadfield.

    I combine an Irish (or English) Breakfast Tea with the Apple Cider when I have tea. I am normally a coffee guy, but my combination of tea with apple cider is a great substitute when no coffee is available.
