I'm thinking with the recent FTX scandal none of my money is going to be held in anything crypto
Dolarapp doesn't report to the US government because it isn't a bank by official means. I would be cautious of transferring from US to Dolarapp directly as this would give the US government a paper trail to your dolarapp account.
What's the downside to that?

I do get some interesting responses...lol. I tend to do the technical vlogs alone because they bore Linda. She does like to do the travel vlogs though.
@@qroo I like both the tech vlogs and the travel vlogs, you both do a great job. My wife is a dual citizen, I will be beginning my journey, starting with residency, soon, and a lot of your shared information helps calm my anxiety about it - even with my wife's status being as it is.
Paul as always you clips are informative and well produced… respectfully you are one of those guys you want on your team, keep up the good work because i pick up a lot of tip bits of valuable information and you motivate me to dig deeper on a variety of topics. Now, you certainly have some big ones attempting to tackle this topic. Not the FBAR aspect of it but the promotion of “Dolar App” … given the recent collapse of FTX and the fact that this is a non USA company i find it challenging to place any money in such accounts without being willing to lose said amount….people do you home with this one

But…When you purchase anything, including US dollars, with stable coins that triggers a taxable event and must be reported to the IRS. This is even though this is no capital gain.

I wouldn't mind investing in crypto but I wouldn't know how to start! And with all the things going on with frauds like everybody one sees on the news it frightens me! I would hate to lose my savings!
I don't blame you. Investments like that can be risky.
I would research how to short crypto before investing in it hoping that it will increase in value.
