I feel like the a7iii was good enough at low light with the older sensor design it had to the point where the a7iv will probably replace the need for an a7Siii considering they would be working with an old sensor model on the a7siii. This a7Riv is working with a new sensor and is the first full frame sensor update since 2015, this means the a7Riv may surpass the a7Riii and reach close to the a7iii in low light performance despite the resolution, and also the a7iv may surpass what the a7Siii would have been in terms of low light since the a7Siii would have been working with an old sensor design.
Im in the market for a high megapixel camera for landscapes as my fuji xt3 is starting to limit me a bit in what I want to do. I have been looking at Nikon and waiting to see what they do, but honestly its time to move to Sony they continue to be a forefront of the industry, this is the camera I will own. Its not the megapixels I'm after but the improvements to weather sealing and ergonomics are what have inspired me to finally jump ship. Well done Sony, this is a masterpiece.

Except the impressive 60 MP sensor, I don't see any serious update of the 10th full frame e-mount camera. Sony continues its strategy of frequently updating its cameras. In six years 10 full frame e-mount cameras have been announced. Nearly two every year.

Sony pls send the new update for sony a6300 as it is impossible for some people like me to afford new camera for this stunning new update of a6400, a7iii , a7rii and a9. Pls sony. I shoot with the 50mp Canon 5dsr, and yeah, you will love it. I've cropped shots of birds down to 25 mp and they still look fantastic. I'd say to just shoot full frame and crop in post instead of using this mode though. It gives you a little more control of your composition, and some room for error when tracking a moving subject.
Waiting for the camera conspiracies video regarding once again the lack of a flippy screen! On another note, the 15 stop DR is a HUGE deal. Would love to see 4K 60fps but I guess this might be a A7SIII feature.
I was about to buy the A7iii as my backup camera to my A7riii. I guess its time for the A7riii to be the backup camera! Honestly wish they did the flip screen of the fuji H-X1/X-t3. Then this would be perfect for my needs!
Please offer a touch menu system! It makes using cameras and navigating menus so much easier and more intuitive! This is a great camera and it's awesome to see Sony pushing the innovation.
Amazing camera! That microphones looks interesting as well, I just wish you could use it and a flash at the same time; maybe a new wireless flash? Hybrid video & photo options are needed for events. I can't wait to try out this camera; it's truly amazing!
that will not be till next year as this year is A7RIV and A7SIII. next year is the A7IV and a new A9. It will be stupid to release the A7IV now when the A7SIII is still MIA, and sony does not want to canibalise the sales of the A7RIV or the A7SIII

Because i don't wanna sell the beautiful len, i wanna ask the Sony or someone else: Can I use an adapter ΕF mount to E-Mount and use the Canon EF 28-300mm with Sony A7R? And if No, then why? Would have bought it in a heartbeat if it had 4k@120fps for us video shooters. For now, I'm happy with my A7iii. I hope they'll bring a firmware upgrade which will allow us to shoot 4k@60fps at least in crop mode.

A russian Sony employee said the A7S3 is just not ready for release atm. But after this camera release and the software update for the A9, there will be a A7S3 instead of A9II in autumn this year

Lol, I bought the A7Riii a couple weeks ago! 60mp is probably too insane for me anyway. But the only problems I had have been fixed on this, bigger grip, accurate EVF and a better joystick 🤦♂️

The a7IV seems like overkill for most photographers anyways. I’ll be jumping on the a7iii once the price drops.

Crop mode allows for proper framing and composition in camera as well as extra reach in the tele end.

Sony refuses to put tilting-rotating LCD screen (like a77II and a99II) on a7 series cameras...
For years the original a77 and a99 also had one...

I still use my a99ii more than. This one makes me consider upgrading but i love my a99ii. The tilting-rotating LCD screen is amazing.

Yes. Eu law says anything over 30 minutes is a video camera and has to have a higher tax rate
