I love what a pastor said once, "If you would not be comfortable watching something if Jesus were sitting on the couch watching tv with you then it is NOT for you to be watching". Like you said, discernment. We have to listen to that still small voice, it never fails us! I have sooo stepped away from things I used to watch and I don't miss them at all. God bless!
I noticed something: I got saved but a short while ago I slid back into sin. Temptation literally is everywhere. I talked a lot about Squid Game and watched a movie with a sexual scene and shortly after I began mast*rbating again, which God had freed me from. So guys, as a Christian teen I can say; Guard your heart❤️🙏🏽

Great video! Shows that I don’t watch anymore: The bachelor All Real Housewives Gilmore Girls Gossip Girl Grace & Frankie You the office -I am on the fence but leaning toward not watching. A lot of “omg”, sex before marriage and in one episode Micheal mentions “what if God is not real” in a joking way and it was uncomfortable. I no longer watch movies that have explicit sex scenes or any sex scenes, darkness, drug use, cursing, violence, etc. unfortunately I have seen many movies and read many books with darkness and I now know what to stay away from.
Stay true to your convictions 💛 only you and God know your boundaries. I don’t really watch TV shows anymore because of some of the things you mentioned - especially when there is constant explicit or blasphemous content.

@@pollyandrade2125 Hi! sure! I used to LOVE Gilmore Girls and have seen all of the seasons multiple times including the revival. l loved the characters, the town, the clothes and all. I've seen worse so I ultimately thought it was mostly wholesome. After the Lord saved me I started to see everything differently and once my views changed, I couldn't go back. Some of what changed my mind about watching: Lorelai and Rory blaspheme the Lord's name constantly, They lie, treat others poorly at times, sleep with multiple men out of marriage, cheat, and in a couple episodes they mock Jesus. Watching the show as a Christian wasn't fun anymore. Its not a super easy choice because its nostalgic for me too, but its a bad example for me to be looking at. I still want to watch it every year when fallcomes around because that's what I would always do and let the seasons play through until they were done, but its just a fleshly desire I don't fall into.

I believe the Lord is calling me to stop watching shows or any entertainment at all. Time waster, it’s hard but I know it’s the right decision and will get easier once I just follow his lead and do it.

Thank you for sharing. I kid you not, watching secular content as a practicing Christian messes up my spirit all the time and suddenly feel distant from God. When I watch godly things I feel at peace and comfortable. Lucifer is one show that I will never ever watch. Netflix just keeps throwing it in my face as a recommendation and I stay firm to not watch. My heart doesn't even yearn to watch it because I know what the show is going to portray from the time it first aired to the world. I watched 2 seasons if YOU and by the 3rd I couldn't anymore. The romanticizing of psychopaths isn't healthy for our minds and not of God either. Content nowadays have become so misleading and evil. I try to watch 7+ and 13+ shows but even those have elements in there that aren't right for Christians. The eyes are the windows to the soul so one should always ask themself: "Is this good for me? What will I gain or learn from it? Does it glorify the Kingdom of God?" This is how we can guard our hearts and mindset to not stray away from God. Talents and gifts were given to us to shine light to the Kingdom of God..whether movies, music, art and etc.

I'd recommend adding to your list tv series such as Spartacus, Ash vs Evil , Gossip Girl , Buffy the vampire slayer, Angel ( two of my fav shows), and many many more. I used to watch a lot of tv growing up. Most of the tv shows I ' ve watched were about supernatural stuff, horror like etc.. I don't blame myself for that although if I could turn back the time I wouldn't watch it. Back then I didn't believe in God, didn't understand christian values. Nowadays I rarely watch something, mostly movies about God and feel much more at peace with it. God bless!!!!

I watched the 1st episode of Lucifer way back, to see how the writers would handle presenting the devil in their show. (I was utterly new to such things, and didn't even know ahead what genre they were going for.) The minute the devil referred to God as his dad, implying that Jesus was the golden child, and he was unfairly cast as the "black sheep" of the family, I said to myself, "they're going the Mormon route. I'm outta here!" No offense to Mormon folks, themselves. I'm sure there are some who are lovely people. But I've had it drilled into my head since at least preschool that we don't talk to Mormon people about faith. We keep our faith strong, and if we ever waver, we stay far from Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, and the like.

The TV series I did not watch all of it agree that would represent negative aspect about Christianity instead of show positive side to Jesus love.

Thank you for this video! I am growing closer to God and I have been trying to remove certain things out of my life. I have thrown out some movies a while ago like gangster movies and movies with a lot of sex and such. I hate movies that are over sexualized and so many shows and movies are like that now. I stay away from those but I am struggling with horror. And I love the vampire diaries 😩. The abuse, the manipulation, the witchcraft, the partner swapping, all of it is wrong but I am so attached to it because I’ve watched it when it first started and have watched all seasons and i just feel sucked in it’s crazy 🤦🏾♀️

I don’t watch half the stuff on Netflix but there is one show I still like that has some language and drinking but it’s about family and horses Heartland it’s about a girl who saves abused horses and fix horses with issues the only problem is the lanquage and the drinking part other than that it’s pretty good but me and gran decided to cool off of it a bit for a while
Nice list my personal list: 5. Harry Potter (I can see why it’s popular and our hero even is Christ like figure in the end but he’s still a wizard… good or bad that I’m still debating) 4. Invincible ( a good storyline but too much animated bloody violence and I mentally can’t watch a father brutally fight his son in the finale) 3.Lucifer (like you mentioned they turn our enemy the devil into a likable protagonist….) 2. The boys (graphic violence and cynical portrayal and satire of Christianity) 1. Game of Thrones (this has everything in the book of content Christian’s are not to watch. Graphic violence,sex, strong language, I don’t need to see that!)
Definitely - the problem with a lot of these shows is exactly that, they act as gateways with pleasant signage to seduce viewers into investing time and attention, then, in turn warping your world view. God bless ..
I must admit I do watch crime stories or action shows of good guy get the bad guys but is danger to watch some of these action shows but even before I was converted I just could not watch horror movies that is not entertainment of seeing graphic killing for fun of it.
As a Catholic, just want to say we don't believe in salvation by works but I did enjoy the Good place for the concept. I understood it for what it was, a secular take on the afterlife so I'm not confused by it. I'm reading up on philosophical writers and their ideas to understand their takes on the body and spirit and this show seems to take inspiration from concept of Jean Paul Sartre's Hell is other People. There's also a twilight zone episode that has a similar concept. I stopped watching it though for other reasons such as the jokes that make light of sexual sins, the point system thing was quite disturbing for me as someone who struggles with scrupulosity, and it just felt like the story wasn't as compelling or had meat to it after the reveal that they were actually in the bad place.
I am a Christian, though I have to say i enjoyed the good place. I often use it as a comparison when a talk about why we would even care about heaven because theres some people who feel like it would het boring. Heaven it's is cool to imagine. But the reason why the good place ended with them getting bored was because God wasn't there. Without God, we are not at peace and we would still seek desire and meaning even after death. With God, our purpose is fulfilled and we are satisfied because he made us in a way that we want to worship, we want to be satisfied and we want purpose.

It wasn’t until God truly took those scales from my eyes and the conviction came and I immediately cancelled my subscription! Yea it’s a no for me!! I’m curious to hear about your thoughts about Twilight? I was a huge fan because of the romance piece and now as I’m older I’m like it had its own little darkness to it as well.
We decided with husband to do not have a TV in the house since there is so much polluted media production around. Now, it can also be reached by phone, but i feel is much easier to pick and choose this way. I didn't know any of the series mentioned, but truly enjoyed your point of view on it, regardless.

The older I've gotten, the less interested I've been I watching things, so I'm good there. My temptation is messed-up fan fiction. Used to read it in my teens and I've been working on trying to pull away from it. I'm writing my own stories instead that have more of Jesus in them than what I've been reading over the years.
It's interesting to reflect back on shows I watched as an unbeliever with a fresh spiritual lens now. In Vampire Diaries, the most powerful character ends up being the witch. And, much like with Wednesday, Christians are portrayed as being the absolute worst people in history. That isn't to say that, historically, people haven't carried out heinous acts in the name of God, but supernatural based movies and television series tend to really play into that "Christians are horrible and kill anyone different for fun" trope. Euphoria...I can't even. I watched one episode and even as an unbeliever at the time my spirit was so grieved. It felt like I was watching some sort of horrific p*rnography on the dark web. To think it was so popular with preteens and young teens!

I used to have no regard for what I watched as long as there weren't too many swears. I always felt a little guilty watching shows like Stranger Things and Riverdale, but I kept doing it. It took me a while to realize that the God didn't want me to watch these things, but not for the reason I thought. I thought that God just didn't want me to have fun, but watching shows like these do bad things to you emotionally and spiritually---God was trying to protect me. These past couple years I've let go of a lot of shows and I'm much better off without them; I'm so glad that the Holy Spirit intervened when it did! what are your thoughts on the tv shows manifest & stranger things? also what about marvel movies? i watched gilmore girls and had to turn it off just because i was starting to compare my life in the fact that i was going through a breakup & the two girls were dating. also i felt it rather boring after a couple watches. so i just stopped watching it because i wasn’t enjoying it… not because i thought it was bad. but the shows i mentioned above are shows/movies that are more my speed. i did go through a phase of loving horror and thriller movies, but i’ve been trying to stay away from those shows recently. i felt very convicted when watching the show “you”. i loved watching it at the time, but it just made me feel gross after watching.
Thank you for sharing Gabby! ☺️ First of all I think it’s wise to share any concerns with God, the Holy Spirit will convict you as He has done with the show “YOU”, to guide you away from harm, or anything that could be detrimental to your spiritual health. And these convictions may vary from person to person. I just want to encourage you because I know how tough it can be, in the search for entertainment and media to enjoy especially as a Christian, it can be draining. I haven’t watched Stranger things before, however it does deal with some darker material from what I’ve heard. I would proceed with caution on that one. With manifest, I have actually watched the first season I believe, however that was quite some time ago so I forget the content of it. I can’t remember anything too graphic happening, however it does deal with manipulation of reality etc if I have the right show. Bottom line is to seek God first, He will guide you and protect you from things harmful to you, be discerning and be careful not to subconsciously be feeding any unmet desires or convictions. I see your heart in your comment and I pray that God covers you and helps you to enjoy media and entertainment in a way that not only doesn’t obstruct your relationship with Him, but strengthens it. If you feel convicted by the Holy Spirit do not watch it , and of course the enemy will say did God !really say not to watch this show it isn’t really that bad , then after you watch it you feel so weird and guilty . I love sci-fi shows. But the moment it starts affecting me I stop. Diablero I tried to watch but couldn't, Sabrina didn't sit right with me. And there are others. The is one on prime gods of America. After watching that I saw how we as people make God's out of things. Not for the faint hearted it messes with u.

The good place is actually not really bad in my opinion. Lucifer i have never seen but do not want to see it since the title is the devil, and just sounds wrong. Never seen Sabrina, so cant say anything about that. Vampire diaries i Have not seen and don't plan too, Vampires are just wrong and evil. Hopefully the show gets stopped. American horror story and Misfits I have not seen and dont want to. Euphoria I want to see, and might try out... American Gods looks sinful and wrong. The rest also look wrong and sinful.

I finished watching Tvd on november 2021 and when i started on april 2021, i was a new christian. Idk it would be a problem until i finished. the wierd thing is that i didnt turn away from God, i grew closer to Him

You season 3 is pretty disgusting. I've watched only 7 episodes of it in 2021 and I just recently finish the last three episodes of season three. Theirs a reason why it took me so long to finish the show. Joe and his wife both cheat on each other this season and almost have a foursome with another couple. Also, this show has a lot of F bombs. I'm not watching season 4 whenever it comes out.
Absolutely agree with this especially with the vampire diaries for me personally with was a show I used to watch heavily, but by the grace of God I was enlightened to the fact that it glorifies demonic activity. The world will always promote the prince of the air. The name Lucifer alone turned me off from the show. The same for Supernatural. Is Sabrina based off (Sabrina the teenage witch). To be honest. I watch shows dealing with the occult aka Dr. Strange, Castlevania (season 1-3, 3 turned me off). My rule of thumb for Christians is if you feel the Holy Spirit convicting you about watching a show just drop them. Shows can be addictive. It took me years to give up South Park. American Gods was around for about 5 years. I only watched a few episodes. I don't have show time. (God protect me). American Gods is about mythical gods (Jesus is considered a myth) in culture. I loved Anansi (I grew up on Anansi stories as a child). They made him a revolutionary god in the show. His character was taken out. I heard the show can be very lude. To be honest some of the shows you mentioned I never heard of (Handmaiden's tale, A good place, etc).
That's exactly how I felt about the Good place so I stopped watching it especially once I found out how the show ends I'm like NO I can definitely live without seeing the rest of it, this isn't it.
I dont get it. What was so horrible about the good place. A logical understanding of what heaven and hell could look like. A sort of comprehension we humans can think of what heaven would look like. Aww well this is a different issue Aleah, the shows I talk about are for pure entertainment, and they deal with a lot of graphic, explicit or dark (demonic) material - we as believers as stated in Philippians 4:8 should think on things that are good, pure, just etc. I think that some of these shows campus be a hindrance to your Christian walk. However I pray that God blesses you and guides you with this desire for this specific career path, because few people can mentally bare the weight of a lot of the issues and scenarios you may come across. Oooohhh my gosh I was going to post a comment asking about Criminal minds.... I started watching it beggining of this year from season 1... Now I'm on season 7. I've re-dedicated my life because I was a Luke warm Christian and I want to be a hot Christian so I'm taking stock of everything... I'm still undecided about criminal minds but when I got to season 6 I skipped the the demonic episodes "as in the episodes where the murderes where into a cult or where killing cos they believed in the devil or witchcraft, I skip right over those episodes. So idk maybe you can too. That might help create balance and yes to stop binge watching is a must...

I get why this show was made. There is a reason why it exists. I don't like the show either. But I knew what it was about going in. I struggled to watch the show because it portrays men in bad light. I can see why some people would be interested in the show. Mostly women who meet guys with similar traits to the main character of course.
I love what a pastor said once, "If you would not be comfortable watching something if Jesus were sitting on the couch watching tv with you then it is NOT for you to be watching".

I talked a lot about Squid Game and watched a movie with a sexual scene and shortly after I began mast*rbating again, which God had freed me from. the office -I am on the fence but leaning toward not watching. A lot of “omg”, sex before marriage and in one episode Micheal mentions “what if God is not real” in a joking way and it was uncomfortable.
I no longer watch movies that have explicit sex scenes or any sex scenes, darkness, drug use, cursing, violence, etc. unfortunately I have seen many movies and read many books with darkness and I now know what to stay away from.
Stay true to your convictions 💛 only you and God know your boundaries. I don’t really watch TV shows anymore because of some of the things you mentioned - especially when there is constant explicit or blasphemous content.

@@pollyandrade2125 Hi! sure! I used to LOVE Gilmore Girls and have seen all of the seasons multiple times including the revival. l loved the characters, the town, the clothes and all. I've seen worse so I ultimately thought it was mostly wholesome. After the Lord saved me I started to see everything differently and once my views changed, I couldn't go back. Some of what changed my mind about watching: Lorelai and Rory blaspheme the Lord's name constantly, They lie, treat others poorly at times, sleep with multiple men out of marriage, cheat, and in a couple episodes they mock Jesus. Watching the show as a Christian wasn't fun anymore. Its not a super easy choice because its nostalgic for me too, but its a bad example for me to be looking at. I still want to watch it every year when fallcomes around because that's what I would always do and let the seasons play through until they were done, but its just a fleshly desire I don't fall into.
@@Danimij yessss! i noticed them using the Lord’s name in vein too! at first i tried ignoring my conviction, but lorelei kept rubbing my spirit the wrong way with how disrespectful she was to her parents. i just started watching and i already made it almost 1/3 of the way through season four, but the constant blasphemous jokes and loreleis stubbornness and disrespect/selfish tendencies made me upset haha. 😅

Thank you for sharing. I kid you not, watching secular content as a practicing Christian messes up my spirit all the time and suddenly feel distant from God. When I watch godly things I feel at peace and comfortable. Lucifer is one show that I will never ever watch. Netflix just keeps throwing it in my face as a recommendation and I stay firm to not watch. My heart doesn't even yearn to watch it because I know what the show is going to portray from the time it first aired to the world. I watched 2 seasons if YOU and by the 3rd I couldn't anymore. The romanticizing of psychopaths isn't healthy for our minds and not of God either. Content nowadays have become so misleading and evil. I try to watch 7+ and 13+ shows but even those have elements in there that aren't right for Christians. The eyes are the windows to the soul so one should always ask themself: "Is this good for me? What will I gain or learn from it? Does it glorify the Kingdom of God?" This is how we can guard our hearts and mindset to not stray away from God. Talents and gifts were given to us to shine light to the Kingdom of God..whether movies, music, art and etc.

I'd recommend adding to your list tv series such as Spartacus, Ash vs Evil , Gossip Girl , Buffy the vampire slayer, Angel ( two of my fav shows), and many many more. I used to watch a lot of tv growing up. Most of the tv shows I ' ve watched were about supernatural stuff, horror like etc.. I don't blame myself for that although if I could turn back the time I wouldn't watch it. Back then I didn't believe in God, didn't understand christian values. Nowadays I rarely watch something, mostly movies about God and feel much more at peace with it. God bless!!!!

I watched the 1st episode of Lucifer way back, to see how the writers would handle presenting the devil in their show. (I was utterly new to such things, and didn't even know ahead what genre they were going for.) The minute the devil referred to God as his dad, implying that Jesus was the golden child, and he was unfairly cast as the "black sheep" of the family, I said to myself, "they're going the Mormon route. I'm outta here!"
No offense to Mormon folks, themselves. I'm sure there are some who are lovely people. But I've had it drilled into my head since at least preschool that we don't talk to Mormon people about faith. We keep our faith strong, and if we ever waver, we stay far from Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, and the like.

Thank you for this video! I am growing closer to God and I have been trying to remove certain things out of my life. I have thrown out some movies a while ago like gangster movies and movies with a lot of sex and such. I hate movies that are over sexualized and so many shows and movies are like that now. I stay away from those but I am struggling with horror. And I love the vampire diaries 😩. The abuse, the manipulation, the witchcraft, the partner swapping, all of it is wrong but I am so attached to it because I’ve watched it when it first started and have watched all seasons and i just feel sucked in it’s crazy 🤦🏾♀️
pray against it and ask God for help. Rebuke every demonic and fleshly desire to continue watching in Jesus' name. Te fact that you've been "sucked" in in itself should be a HUGE red flag to u. I don’t watch half the stuff on Netflix but there is one show I still like that has some language and drinking but it’s about family and horses Heartland it’s about a girl who saves abused horses and fix horses with issues the only problem is the lanquage and the drinking part other than that it’s pretty good but me and gran decided to cool off of it a bit for a while

I must admit I do watch crime stories or action shows of good guy get the bad guys but is danger to watch some of these action shows but even before I was converted I just could not watch horror movies that is not entertainment of seeing graphic killing for fun of it.
As a Catholic, just want to say we don't believe in salvation by works but I did enjoy the Good place for the concept. I understood it for what it was, a secular take on the afterlife so I'm not confused by it. I'm reading up on philosophical writers and their ideas to understand their takes on the body and spirit and this show seems to take inspiration from concept of Jean Paul Sartre's Hell is other People. There's also a twilight zone episode that has a similar concept. I stopped watching it though for other reasons such as the jokes that make light of sexual sins, the point system thing was quite disturbing for me as someone who struggles with scrupulosity, and it just felt like the story wasn't as compelling or had meat to it after the reveal that they were actually in the bad place.
I am a Christian, though I have to say i enjoyed the good place. I often use it as a comparison when a talk about why we would even care about heaven because theres some people who feel like it would het boring. Heaven it's is cool to imagine. But the reason why the good place ended with them getting bored was because God wasn't there. Without God, we are not at peace and we would still seek desire and meaning even after death. With God, our purpose is fulfilled and we are satisfied because he made us in a way that we want to worship, we want to be satisfied and we want purpose.

The older I've gotten, the less interested I've been I watching things, so I'm good there. My temptation is messed-up fan fiction. Used to read it in my teens and I've been working on trying to pull away from it. I'm writing my own stories instead that have more of Jesus in them than what I've been reading over the years.

It's interesting to reflect back on shows I watched as an unbeliever with a fresh spiritual lens now. In Vampire Diaries, the most powerful character ends up being the witch. And, much like with Wednesday, Christians are portrayed as being the absolute worst people in history. That isn't to say that, historically, people haven't carried out heinous acts in the name of God, but supernatural based movies and television series tend to really play into that "Christians are horrible and kill anyone different for fun" trope.
Euphoria...I can't even. I watched one episode and even as an unbeliever at the time my spirit was so grieved. It felt like I was watching some sort of horrific p*rnography on the dark web. To think it was so popular with preteens and young teens!

I used to have no regard for what I watched as long as there weren't too many swears. I always felt a little guilty watching shows like Stranger Things and Riverdale, but I kept doing it. It took me a while to realize that the God didn't want me to watch these things, but not for the reason I thought. I thought that God just didn't want me to have fun, but watching shows like these do bad things to you emotionally and spiritually---God was trying to protect me. These past couple years I've let go of a lot of shows and I'm much better off without them; I'm so glad that the Holy Spirit intervened when it did! what are your thoughts on the tv shows manifest & stranger things? also what about marvel movies? i watched gilmore girls and had to turn it off just because i was starting to compare my life in the fact that i was going through a breakup & the two girls were dating. also i felt it rather boring after a couple watches. so i just stopped watching it because i wasn’t enjoying it… not because i thought it was bad. but the shows i mentioned above are shows/movies that are more my speed. i did go through a phase of loving horror and thriller movies, but i’ve been trying to stay away from those shows recently. i felt very convicted when watching the show “you”. i loved watching it at the time, but it just made me feel gross after watching.
Thank you for sharing Gabby! ☺️ First of all I think it’s wise to share any concerns with God, the Holy Spirit will convict you as He has done with the show “YOU”, to guide you away from harm, or anything that could be detrimental to your spiritual health. And these convictions may vary from person to person. I just want to encourage you because I know how tough it can be, in the search for entertainment and media to enjoy especially as a Christian, it can be draining. I haven’t watched Stranger things before, however it does deal with some darker material from what I’ve heard. I would proceed with caution on that one. With manifest, I have actually watched the first season I believe, however that was quite some time ago so I forget the content of it. I can’t remember anything too graphic happening, however it does deal with manipulation of reality etc if I have the right show. Bottom line is to seek God first, He will guide you and protect you from things harmful to you, be discerning and be careful not to subconsciously be feeding any unmet desires or convictions. I see your heart in your comment and I pray that God covers you and helps you to enjoy media and entertainment in a way that not only doesn’t obstruct your relationship with Him, but strengthens it. Lucifer i have never seen but do not want to see it since the title is the devil, and just sounds wrong.

Vampire diaries i Have not seen and don't plan too, Vampires are just wrong and evil. Hopefully the show gets stopped.

I finished watching Tvd on november 2021 and when i started on april 2021, i was a new christian. Idk it would be a problem until i finished. the wierd thing is that i didnt turn away from God, i grew closer to Him

You season 3 is pretty disgusting. I've watched only 7 episodes of it in 2021 and I just recently finish the last three episodes of season three. Theirs a reason why it took me so long to finish the show. Joe and his wife both cheat on each other this season and almost have a foursome with another couple. Also, this show has a lot of F bombs. I'm not watching season 4 whenever it comes out.

Absolutely agree with this especially with the vampire diaries for me personally with was a show I used to watch heavily, but by the grace of God I was enlightened to the fact that it glorifies demonic activity.

Riverdale is a no go for me. 👎🏾 blatantly wicked show, Especially the direction they went in after around season 2. Remembering that these characters are meant to be mid-teen teenagers - there is sexually explicit content, rebelliousness, lying, witchcraft and much much more from the random pick and mix bag of Riverdale. That’s just my take on it, I definitely agree that it’s cringy 😩😂 but people are still hooked on it till this day 🤷🏾♀️ God bless ..
The world will always promote the prince of the air. The name Lucifer alone turned me off from the show. The same for Supernatural. Is Sabrina based off (Sabrina the teenage witch). To be honest. I watch shows dealing with the occult aka Dr. Strange, Castlevania (season 1-3, 3 turned me off). My rule of thumb for Christians is if you feel the Holy Spirit convicting you about watching a show just drop them. Shows can be addictive. It took me years to give up South Park. American Gods was around for about 5 years. I only watched a few episodes. I don't have show time. (God protect me). American Gods is about mythical gods (Jesus is considered a myth) in culture. I loved Anansi (I grew up on Anansi stories as a child). They made him a revolutionary god in the show. His character was taken out. I heard the show can be very lude. To be honest some of the shows you mentioned I never heard of (Handmaiden's tale, A good place, etc).

That's exactly how I felt about the Good place so I stopped watching it especially once I found out how the show ends I'm like NO I can definitely live without seeing the rest of it, this isn't it.

I dont get it. What was so horrible about the good place. A logical understanding of what heaven and hell could look like. A sort of comprehension we humans can think of what heaven would look like.

Aww well this is a different issue Aleah, the shows I talk about are for pure entertainment, and they deal with a lot of graphic, explicit or dark (demonic) material - we as believers as stated in Philippians 4:8 should think on things that are good, pure, just etc. I think that some of these shows campus be a hindrance to your Christian walk. However I pray that God blesses you and guides you with this desire for this specific career path, because few people can mentally bare the weight of a lot of the issues and scenarios you may come across. Thank you for your comment, I do further encourage you to pray about this and your personal convictions with God for clarity, as well as seeking sound support and guidance from your pastor, family, mentors etc 💛 ..

Oooohhh my gosh I was going to post a comment asking about Criminal minds.... I started watching it beggining of this year from season 1... Now I'm on season 7. I've re-dedicated my life because I was a Luke warm Christian and I want to be a hot Christian so I'm taking stock of everything... I'm still undecided about criminal minds but when I got to season 6 I skipped the the demonic episodes "as in the episodes where the murderes where into a cult or where killing cos they believed in the devil or witchcraft, I skip right over those episodes. So idk maybe you can too. That might help create balance and yes to stop binge watching is a must...

She describes her opinion of the you show. I'm like yeah. That's the point of the show. Not saying people should watch it. I watched the first season. I know there is a second season. I get why this show was made. There is a reason why it exists. I don't like the show either. But I knew what it was about going in. I struggled to watch the show because it portrays men in bad light. I can see why some people would be interested in the show. Mostly women who meet guys with similar traits to the main character of course.
The only thing I watch are funny Korean and Chinese shows, they are not sexual and no cussing what’s so ever.
The Office and Parks and Rec for me! They use God’s name in vain too often for me
