As another c-mount enthusiast, I've been enjoying your channel. It seems like you have a new lens to talk about every day! And you got an amazing deal on that lens. For the slimmest adapter possible, you could try getting an M42 to EF-M adapter, and then screw an M42-to C-mount adapter within it. The result is a pretty flat adapter for wide-base c-mount lenses. It is still not a perfect solution. I think that replacing the entire mount would be a better solution, like this person has done for M43: ua-cam.com/video/GELjo4dtQ_c/v-deo.htmlsi=pWSZE9Ax8Squh_YH

Hi Nick! Yes i'm a vintage and c-mount lens addict...every day i see sellers that are selling c-mount lenses for 4-10-15$ so how can I resist?!
M42 is very far from the sensor with C-mount the back glass of the lens has to be just a few millimeters away from the sensor as they are at the cctv cameras or vintage 16mm video cameras the back of the lens almost touches the sensor, with this latest lens the 50mm with the f0.95 is the same problem with these "slim" c-mount to efm mount adapters the backside of the lens is still to far from the sensor so now I am sawing it down, girding it down to make somehow that the back-lens gets closer to the sensor...
