I've had this wood scale handle Mossy Oak and the staglon handle Mossy Oak Bowie knives. They're surprisingly durable, and can become extremely sharp. Already pretty good sharpness out of the box. Another thing I love to do is give a mirror polish finish by stage sanding from paper grits of 400-600-800-1200-2500, 3000grit abrasive foam pad and complete the job using ultra soft cotton polishing pads with Flitz or jewelers rouge red & green. OMG a very high clarity mirroring this steel can be polished to. Custom handle scales give another great element for a personalized Bowie that adds value especially with mirroring and razorback swedge of the clip point! I really like the way these Mossy Oak Bowies are cut out with the guard an integrated part of the whole blade.
I bought 2 of these last year off Amazon for twenty bucks each. They really are quite good. I have spent over a hundred bucks on some knives and they came crooked. These Mossy Bowies were nice and straight. I may change the wood handles to a different wood or micarta (I make my own). That will change the look of the knife and it will probably appear to be a more expensive knife. They are really good knives if you want to have some fun doing customizing work on them. I plan on making new sheaths . A couple of nice Kydex sheaths will be better than those limp, fake leather sheaths.
The shape is simple beautiful, i love the shape. Yes, it Will be great if using better steel so i customize order to make Bowie knives with this shape using Sleipner, Caldie, vanadis 4 extra, and 5160 and the scales Im using burls. Maybe next month i Will order using CPM magnacut with this shape.
I have the 7 inch blade. The Mossy oaks are good to play w. You say you got it on Amazon? Did they have different blade lengths? I would like to get one w a 9 to 12 inch blade which is in the neighborhood of ideal for a fighting knife. I carry my 7 inch blade as a backup to my 9mm or 357 Magnum. I also carry a little 3 inch switchblade and a minimalist Bowie neck knife. I don't always carry the Bowie on my person. Sometimes I just keep it in the truck along w a long gun, machete, and large Estwing hatchet. It's good to have options. The history of the Bowie is extremely interesting. In a time when pistols were not so reliable or were single shot and a sword was too large for daily carry or riding horseback.... the Bowie was a fantastic compromise. Your gun malfunctions and you still gotta good pig sticker.....I mean who wants to run up on a guy weilding a 14 inch knife w a 7 inch blade or a 16 inch blade w a 7 inch handle?
I own a few of them and sure are real gold glitters they a worth the price I paid for them , they not great but they darn good for beater knives and backyard cutting fun. 💥💥😎💥💥
I have got the Mossy Oak Overwatch. I got the twin model if this Mossy Oak one of Flissa dimensions match as though the only difference is name stamped on it *I'm a knife* 🗡️🔪 man kinda
Seems to be pretty much exclusively on Amazon. Some stores like Tractor Supply Co carry Mossy Oak products but i can't find this one specifically. The link that i placed in the description should still point you directly to it

I need to pick one up. 👌
I bought this knife a few days ago it was so sharp it shaved hair off my leg just outta the box I didn't even sharpen it
You shouldn’t expect a sheath that big to be really stiff
