Merdeka 118, also known as Merdeka PNB 118 and KL 118 is a 118-story, 678.9-meter-tall megatall skyscraper in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is the world's second-tallest building.
The building's name, Merdeka (which means 'independence'), is inspired by its proximity to two stadiums: Stadium Merdeka and Stadium Negara. The spire of the building was completed in November 2021.
The building is expected to be finished by the end of 2022, and will become the tallest in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. It will surpass the 632 m (2,073 ft.) Shanghai Tower as the world's second-tallest building and structure, taking the title by virtue of its 160-metre-tall (520 ft.) spire.The building will also be the first in Malaysia to receive a triple platinum rating from worldwide sustainability certifications, including the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)

It's almost there!! A lil bit finishing and we finish for the building..but remember,pnb 118 has many things to do like stuffing it and planning the floors...we will need to wait until 2025 but it's okay!

Ofcourse, cause westerners are too mocking against the spire of this tower. And say it's just an empty antenna, while the spire in this building is accessible for visitors and PNB made it an observation to the two buildings at an altitude of 630m+ 👌🏻

Does Malaysia even build a taller tower to know if Vietnam is still building the tallest tower in Vietnam with 120 floors or maybe more, of course you have to wait 5 to 7 years to see it complete.😁😁😁
So far i only found that Phuong Trach Tower is the talllest proposed skyscraper in Vietnam,at 108 floors and 600m height,estimated will be in 2028
There are many more tall towers coming up in Malaysia even after PNB118. So watch this space.

What's the point of this and TRX? We already had a tallest building in the past.
Right now, the problem with KL is *soul crushing traffic jam* caused by bad planning for over 50 years. There's also an oversupply of commercial lots, which is made worse by PNB118 and TRX. KL's drainage system is poor, causing the city to have floods 5-6 times a year.
If the excuse to build this is because of tourism, then we need to do more to protect our cultural sites instead of this. Look at European countries, many are amongst the most visited in the world; how many skyscrapers they have? They don't need them because they already have so many heritage sites. Only cities that lack culture keep building megatall skyscrapers.
We need to stop focusing and investing on projects that don't benefit the rakyat as a whole, but just cronys who get awarded the tender.
