Your video is a model example of how to explain and give tutorials. Great job. Your explanations were very clear, and concise, and I learned a lot very quickly. Now I’m looking forward to using this remarkable software. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for a wonderful guide! I have played the piano since I was 6 and recently found an interest in putting notes on paper! This was THE BEST guide! I cannot thank you enough!
That was great, Susan; thank you! I've been using MuseScore for a while now, so I knew how to do most of what you showed, but I learned a few shortcuts I didn't know existed that will be very helpful, so again, thank you! 🙂
It really is! It's also a great gateway to Sibelius, if one is ever interested in getting even more powerful notation software. Many of the shortcuts and features feel similar.
@@PianoRoadmap yes, you right,,, but I feel, that The page a litter instable, some comand automatically causes a zoom in, move page, but is not necessário a big problem! 🌹🌹
It sounds like you were still in "input" mode. If you type "N", it'll bring you in and out of note input mode. If you're IN that mode, every time you click it'll try to add notes.
Thank you! I was just looking for a tool that I could use to customize a daily scale finger exercise I got from someone else. I am exited about being able to transpose and have sheet music for all major and minor scales.
As a MuseScore user myself, I must say this tutorial does an impressive job at introducing the viewer to MuseScore. Thank you, Susan! May I ask you how do you record your videos? What equipment do you use? Your room does not seem brightly lit yet the video quality is superb. :)
Thank you! MuseScore is such a great free tool. For my setup, I use the aputure light dome II (www.aputure.com/products/light-dome-ii/) and a Canon (www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1547010-REG/canon_eos_r6_mirrorless_digital.html).
Wait can you make the grand staff like connected if that makes sense? Like middle C is in between bass cleff and treble cleff instead of going up in the bass cleff indefinitely with ledger lines
@@michel-1-0 No, I don't believe this is possible. You would need some special software to turn the audio file from the youtube video into midi data, then import that into musescore. Even then, it probably wouldn't be very accurate and the arrangement would be hard to interpret.
If you need more measures than they automatically give you, go to the top menu and click ADD --> MEASURES --> INSERT AT END OF SCORE (or wherever you need them). Then a box will pop up and you can add as many measures as you need.
An amazing and helpful tutorial. Thank you so much!
You're welcome, glad it was helpful!
Really nice and concise job here. Thank You. I just keep pausing/repeating for each item as I progress. I hope you have more tutorials. :)

You can double-click the tempo text until your hand falls off. When you try to type the text (for example, "ballad"), it adds notes.
It sounds like you were still in "input" mode. If you type "N", it'll bring you in and out of note input mode. If you're IN that mode, every time you click it'll try to add notes.
