Ranging a deer that is on your bait pile? I usually know ahead of time how far my bait pile is or certain trees bushes etc are. That was pretty funny! Bait pile looked around 10 yards. But wait ,let me range it to make sure.

@@leatfingie1780 yeah you never know that bait pile might of blew in the wind a few feet farther away from the day before. Any experienced hunter will range their bait pile or the deer run they are hunting ahead of time and already know how far it is.

I shot a buck one year I gutted him and had him in a bear hug trying to drain the last bit of blood out of his lower quarter all of a sudden another Buck busted through the brush and charge me I dropped a deer and screamed he stopped about 5 foot away from me turned tail and hauled I thought it was a shish kabob for sure
