Elle - I am a beginning painter who started at age 62. I love your loose style and your tutorials. I liked the white flower tutorial so much I painted it 3 times to give as gifts! Thanks so much.
Ooo, thank-you, i tried it! Your tips were really helpful throughout. Like darker values under the flowers for depth, cutting in extra sky, making the flowers different sizes, etc.
Elle, you have the most beautiful brush strokes, I'd love a lesson on you style of brush strokes. I see you use liquid acrylics. Do you find you have better strokes with them rather than heavy body paint? That;s what I've been using primarily.. Thank you for posting your videos.
Hi Elle, what is the name of the first blue you put down? was it Phthalo Blue? I can't see the colour listed in your materials list. Lovely painting - like to give it a go!
The dark blue is actually Payne's Gray and the lighter blue was Ultramarine blue. Here are the colors I used: Ultramarine Blue Payne's Gray Indian Yellow Hansa Yellow Medium Titanium White
I have a video on Skillshare for painting flowers on a large canvas but nothing on UA-cam. For loose flowers, use a larger brush, stand back and extend your arm, overlap greeery and flowers so the flowers aren't just sitting on top of the greens. Try not to paint perfect circles.. flowers should have an organic shape.

I definitely prefer the fluid acrylics for smooth brush strokes.
Love this thank you

I am attempting a larger canvas, 36x48. Any videos that would relate to that? My flowers look too constructed.

Bob Burridge talks about being careful not to "tickle it to death"
I like that saying!
Beautiful
